They were never in array. They won a bunch of off-year elections in pure blue states, including voting in a psychopath who was texting about killing his opponent's kids.

If the Democrats truly held any advantageous position at all on Trump, they would not have caved on the shutdown fight.

The Democrats are so, so much weaker than you're letting your listeners believe.
