In 2015 Sigs posted that Dow had peaked at 18,500. And that dropping to 15K would be a correction, which was an accurate statement - sending 6ix into a spasm of drunk posting.
However, she also stated that Dow was overvalued, had topped out. And she is not going to ride the Bull Market until it drops to 15K.

The DOW is off the rails and so full of speculation and bad debt wrapped up in packages that none of the so-called "experts" can even explain any of it.

It's all make believe. Except for the part where the stock market siphons the wealth off of the labor of the people least likely to be able to partake in the market.

My house, which I paid for in cash, has not only allowed me to now live completely rent and mortgage free for 14 straight years, but has also recently been assessed at a value of 364.6% more than what I paid for it 14 years ago. To be clear, that is to say, 100% of the value I paid for it, and then another 364.6% increase on top of what I paid for it.

And again, that is 14 years without rent or mortgage. 14 and 1/2 years, to be exact, or 174 straight months of not having to pay rent. (Though nowhere near that price when I bought the house, the average rent in Northwest Indiana today is between $1,200 and $1,600 per month, or $14,400 to $19,200 per year). In other words, that's about $72,000 to $96,000 I "made" since Joe Biden* took office, simply by just existing, since it has been at least 7 or 8 years since the house paid for itself vs. the lower average rent prices of the 2010s. Obviously this isn't money in the bank, so technically nothing was "earned" here, but nearly anyone else living around me spent around close to $100,000 just to rent a place in the last 5 years when I didn't pay anything other than a very low property tax bill, and my water and trash bills. (Unlike in Wisconsin and Illinois, Indiana landlords are not required to pay for heat, so we're all stuck paying electric/gas bills here no matter the rent/own situation we find ourselves in).

No gambling required. No stress for that matter, either.



I may have been a hopeless drunk at one point, but I'm still smarter than 99.99% of you. And even though I haven't worked a single day since summer of 2019, my net worth has increased by more than most of you have managed to save in that time as well.

Fuck the DOW.
