RANDOMNESS IS GOOD

This here is a trial run of this here boggy-ma-thing. If this had been an actual blog it would have contained content worth reading. Or not.

So here I sit awaiting the 9th of December, a date that has become more important to me than all it's surrounding holidays - even the ones I celebrate. Is that pathetic or what? Oh well.

I am eagerly awaiting the Firefly DVD's and the end of my self imposed torment. I have not yet watched the three unaired (in the US) episodes. I have done my best to avoid scripts, threads, chats, downloads, emails, et al related to them.

At first it was simply a form of expressing my steadfast belief that either the series would be picked up and I would see them on TV, and/or the DVD's would be released and I would have 'new' episodes to look forward to. After the DVD's were announced it was easier to wait, knowing I would have a shiny December watching them. But the countdown has been excruciating!

There have been small, fun moments to ease my pain along the way. Few joys in a mom's life can compare to watching your 9 year old play with toy dinosaurs and have the dino's discussion include, "We will rule over all this land, and we will call it... "This Land." or hearing your 7 year old swear by his pretty floral bonnet. With Shiny fanfic, talented fan art, wonderful treads, and the IRC, I just might survive the next 9 days.
