I DON'T KNOW HOW THE LOT OF YOU DID IT.

Warning: Boring introductory post.

As you can tell, I'm new to the 'Verse. Back when Firefly debuted, I watched maybe five minutes of it. It wasn't that it was a bad show or anything like that. I just typically worked nights, and accidentally caught it in the break room one night. It was subsequently cancelled, and I guess I never noticed. Sadly, I wouldn't say I was alone on that one.

My roommate of a couple years ranted and raved about how I should watch it, but I literally have 20+ shows I watch every week, and I was working a full-time job at the time, so I didn't feel like introducing a new show, regardless of its length.

However, my life has become simpler lately, in that work is basically when I choose to (maybe I should bunk up on Serenity), and classes take up little time. I had worked at Gamestop, where we could get DVDs pretty cheap, and actually bought Serenity back in July or so of this year. I didn't want to watch it, though, because I had planned on watching Firefly before I get into the BDM, so I shelved it, and impatiently waited.

A couple weeks ago, I finally broke down and bought the DVDs. I carved through them quite quickly, and moved onto the film. The couple tragedies aside, I really, really enjoyed the movie...but...

That sinking feeling then fell upon me. There's nothing left (for now). No more of Mal's snappy one liners. No more finding ways to get rid of Jayne. No more "I'll be in my bunk" (I actually clapped when I heard it in the deleted scenes on BDM). No more Kaylee.

I don't know how you Browncoats from the beginning were able to take this. I went one day between "Objects In Space" and BDM. You guys went over two years. I couldn't ever imagine that, so I commend your great patience, and perseverance as well.

Anyhow, long story potentially longer, I just wanted to tell someone how hooked on this show I've now become, and how a part of me actually hurts a little at the thought that there may not be more to come. Sure, I'll buy the MMO on the day it releases, and I'll pick up all the comics that are on their way, but it's not the same. I need the crew, and I'd be pretty much willing to do whatever it takes to see them on screen again. Hell, Family Guy did it. Futurama is doing it. Why not Firefly?

If you're still here, thanks. I needed to spill my guts to someone about the 'Verse.
