FBI Raids Home of Election Clerk Alleged to Be Involved in Equipment Security Breach
Atask force of different law enforcement agencies conducted searches of four locations in Colorado Tuesday as part of an investigation into a potential security breach involving elections equipment from earlier this year.
According to the Associated Press, the investigation stems from images of Colorado election equipment management software appearing on far-right blogs earlier this year.
Colorado Secretary of State Jena Griswold's office alleges that one of the images was taken on May 23, in a secure Mesa County location where the voting equipment is stored. Griswold says Peters accessed the room the day of the photo, and allegedly let an unauthorized person into the room.

Organizers of the Jan. 6 rally near the White House where then-President Donald Trump spoke before the Capitol riot allegedly used burner phones to communicate with top Trump officials, including his son Eric Trump, Rolling Stone reported Tuesday.
Kylie Kremer, a leader of the March for Trump group that helped organized the rally at the Ellipse, reportedly told an aide to buy three burner phones during the planning of the event and said it was of “utmost importance” that they were paid for with cash.
So-called burner phones are cheap, prepaid mobile phones typically purchased for temporary use to protect the user’s anonymity.
Kremer used one of the phones to communicate with top White House and Trump campaign officials, including Eric Trump and wife Lara Trump, then-White House chief of staff Mark Meadows, and Katrina Pierson, a former Trump campaign spokesperson, three sources involved with the event told Rolling Stone.

But I was struck by Hannity's casual tone about the unfolding terror. At least Kilmeade said "please, get him on TV."
The 1/6 committee has thousands of other texts and emails. Cheney shared just a tiny sampling on Monday. But the tiny sampling is deeply embarrassing for Fox and the Murdochs. As Maggie Haberman said, this "undercuts efforts by everyone whose name she read who might say Jan. 6 wasn't that bad." It "wasn't that bad" has been one of Fox's dominant themes this year. This banner on "Don Lemon Tonight" captured it perfectly: "Fox hosts and Donald Trump Jr. knew exactly what was happening and now they pretend it didn't happen."

You would think that the kinks would have been ironed out of the legal system in the last two hundred years, but the legal system still doesn't work worth a damn for people like Burr or Trump. Trump has not yet paid the taxes he has owed for 20 years and it looks like his lawyers will be able to keep the legal system in gridlock for another 20 years. By then, Trump will be dead and the statute of limitations means he couldn't go on trial for tax cheating even if alive.

"Please get him on tv. Destroying everything you have accomplished." Brian Kilmeade wrote.
"Can he make a statement?...Ask people to leave the Capitol." Sean Hannity urged.
As the violence continued, one of the President's sons texted Meadows:

Meadows responded: "I'm pushing it hard. I agree."
Still, President Trump did not immediately act.
