Five hundred times Eric Trump took the 5th amendment. What Eric said was something like this: "On advice of my attorney I refuse to answer that question because I and my Daddy might go to jail for life."

That was back in October 2020. Then the prosecution shrugged as if Eric is innocent because he refuses to confess. It is now 16 months later. What the hell is wrong with these prosecutors? They need to try much harder than usual because Trump has the money to stall them for the next 20 years if the prosecution continues to be easily thwarted by the excruciatingly simple strategy Trump uses.

About $1 trillion in taxes aren't paid each year by people who will never be indicted, 1kiki. If Trump is indicted for his cheating, it will only be because he is notorious, which forced prosecutors to do something, even though they will do nothing about the rest of the unpaid $1 trillion in taxes.

New York Attorney General Letitia James has alleged that her office has uncovered "significant" evidence "indicating that the Trump Organization used fraudulent or misleading asset valuations to obtain a host of economic benefits, including loans, insurance coverage, and tax deductions." Former Trump attorney Michael Cohen discusses Trump's business practices with CNN's Alisyn Camerota.

Nobody saw Trump's income tax returns, but he hasn't paid in 20 years. That might get him in trouble, but on the other hand, $1 trillion in taxes aren't paid each year and nobody sees those tax returns, either. Why single out Trump for punishment when so much more cheating goes unpunished? Let Trump go free! He could sell that slogan on T-shirts or baseball caps made in China (with fake tags "Made in USA") and not pay his income taxes on those sales, too!

Georgia DA investigating possible Trump interference in 2020 asks for special grand jury

ATLANTA (AP) — The Georgia prosecutor investigating possible attempts to interfere in the 2020 general election by former President Donald Trump and others has asked for a special grand jury to aid the investigation.

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis on Thursday sent a letter to Fulton County Superior Court Chief Judge Christopher Brasher asking him to impanel a special grand jury. She wrote in the letter that her office “has received information indicating a reasonable probability that the State of Georgia’s administration of elections in 2020, including the State’s election of the President of the United States, was subject to possible criminal disruptions.”

Willis’ office has tried to interview multiple witnesses and gather evidence, and some witnesses and prospective witnesses have refused to cooperate without a subpoena, she wrote. A special grand jury would have the power to subpoena witnesses.

Remember John Gotti? As you know all this shit takes time SECOND. Hence the clock, tick tock. A sign things are about to pop is when the people being investigated are subpoenaed. This is the case in NY. You and I both know the evidence is overwhelming Trump committed crime after crime after crime. He'll fall.

The Trump International Scotland golf club, in the countryside outside Aberdeen, was valued at $435.56 million in financial documents submitted by Trump in 2014.

This represented an increase of more than double compared to its valuation the year before.

Officials said the higher figure appeared to be based on "assuming the right to build 2,500 luxury homes on the property — despite approval to build fewer than 1,500 holiday apartments and golf villas."

The legal documents said that in 2009, Scottish authorities gave provisional permission for 1,486 holiday homes and golf villas to be built, more than a thousand fewer than the 2,500 that seemed to contribute to the $435 million valuation.

"'Mr. Weisselberg testified that he could not explain this discrepancy," the documents said.

The statement said the evaluation also didn't take account of an indefinite postponement of residential developments on the property. This came amid an argument between Trump and Scottish authorities over plans to build a wind farm nearby.

James's office also said the properties in question were short-term rentals or golf villas, not residential homes, which it said would also affect their value.

Weisselberg was charged last year with offenses relating to an alleged tax-fraud scheme at the Trump Organization.

course-valution-ny-ag-2022-1

In America, Trump claimed his Scottish golf club is worth $435.56 million. What is it truly worth in Scotland? $43,613,621 or £32,071,221. Trump multiplied the actual value by ten to arrive at the fake value, which he uses to get a $435.56 million loan in America, with the Scottish golf club as his loan collateral. If Trump fails to make his monthly payments on the loan, and the bank sues to take over Trump's collateral, the bank will suddenly discover Trump defrauded the bank, but the fraud actually occurred years earlier when Trump attached a price of $435.56 million to a $43,613,621 property.

For 31 December 2019 the accounts reveal an overall asset value of £32,071,221. During the year there had been an operating loss of £896,367 and loss before tax of £1,105,763. This loss represented a further decline on the previous year (2018).

Why Trump Is Headed for the Ditch Once Again

Over the past week, a series of things have transpired that make Trump’s indestructability seem less axiomatic, his dominance over the GOP and his renomination for president less of a sure thing. The difference this time is that Trump’s error is not something he has done — and can talk his way out of — but something that is being done to him. Trump has allowed a serious challenger and former disciple inside the party to gain unchecked influence. His social media sparkle, snuffed by Big Tech, has not been rekindled yet by his own social media startup (Truth Social) nor has it glowed in the B- and C-list social outfits like Parler, Gab, Rumble or Gettr. And no less a hard-right personage as former Trump acolyte Ann Coulter has judged him as finished and brought evidence to defend her thesis.

Trump has never been weaker or more vulnerable to replacement than today. He might Houdini his way out of trouble once more. You can never count him out. But there has never been a better moment for the mice to bell the Trump cat than there is today.

Revelations in New York court underscore Trump's legal peril on multiple fronts

In a push to compel the testimony of former President Donald Trump and two of his children, New York Attorney General Letitia James disclosed a potential game changer late Tuesday in a widening civil investigation of the Trump family business.

State investigators, the attorney general asserted, have "collected significant additional evidence indicating that the Trump Organization used fraudulent or misleading asset valuations to obtain a host of economic benefits, including loans, insurance coverage, and tax deductions."

‘House of Trump is crumbling’: why ex-president’s legal net is tightening

Ed Pilkington in New York - 6h ago

When Donald Trump announced plans in 2006 to build a golf complex on ancient sand dunes on the Aberdeenshire coast in Scotland he told reporters it was love at first sight. “As soon as I saw it there was no question about it,” he said. It would be the world’s “greatest golf course”.

This week Trump International Scotland became a central element of a case that looks poised to dominate his post-presidential life, and could even put him behind bars.

Local fishermen denounced Trump as a “loudmouth bully” during construction of the course. Environmentalists warned the development would destroy the natural habitat, and sure enough it did inflict such damage that the site was stripped of its protected status.

But none of this deflected Trump from his goal. Today, the Scottish complex stands as a “premier luxury golf” experience replete with five-star hotel and helicopter landing pad, at a bargain membership of £2,595 ($3,518) a year.

Fifteen years on, the property has done wonders for its owner. That is, if you measure success according to the idiosyncratic accounting style of Donald Trump.

He bought the 2,000 acres (809 hectares) site at Menie in 2006 for $12.6m. Within five short years it was valued by the Trump Organization in its financial statements at $161m, an increase of almost 13 times.

By 2014, the windswept Scottish holding was put at $436m.

The hike caught the attention of Letitia James, New York state’s progressive attorney general known for her relentless pursuit of the rich and powerful. How the Scottish property came to rise meteorically in value is one of the matters she is exploring in her continuing investigation into Trump Organization finances.

In a new filing released this week designed to pressure Trump and two of his children – Ivanka and Donald Jr – into facing questioning, James forensically dissects how such strikingly large valuations came about. The 2011 estimate for the Scottish property, her investigators discovered, included an estimated £75,000 ($120,000 at 2011 exchange rates) for undeveloped land at the site.

Investigating deeper, they found that the figure had been created for an article in Forbes magazine. The revelation prompted a line in this week’s filing that must be among the tartest in US financial history.

“It thus appears,” James writes, “that the valuation of Trump Aberdeen used for Mr Trump’s financial statement was prepared for purposes of providing information to Forbes magazine in a quote.”

James’s legal document is packed with similarly juicy tidbits. The 2014 value of the Scottish golf club was based in part on the projected sale price of 2,500 houses on the land, even though none of the houses actually existed and the company had planning permission for only half that number.

In 1995 the Trump Organization bought a parcel of land in Westchester, New York, known as the Seven Springs Estate, for $7.5m. By 2004 it was valued at $80m and by 2014 at $291m. That 2014 figure, James notes in another exquisitely tart reference, included a valuation of $161m for “seven non-existent mansions”.

The juiciest tidbit of all concerns Trump’s former home, the gilded Fifth Avenue temple to his own ego dubbed “Versailles in the sky”, in which he lived before moving into the White House. James’s investigators were puzzled to find the Trump Tower triplex in Manhattan was listed at $327m in 2015, based on the apartment’s size, allegedly 30,000 sq feet.

In fact the property is 11,000 sq feet, which produces a value of $117m. That’s an overstatement in Trump’s official financial statements of more than $200m.

Editorial: Trump’s comeuppance is coming

One of the best presidents, Teddy Roosevelt, was the only native of New York City to become president until the worst, Donald Trump, won the high office. Now, the state of New York is helping to bring down this miserable, insipid, democracy-threatening horror of a man who we inflicted on the nation and the world. In devastating legal papers filed last week, New York Attorney General Leticia James reveals that the cheating con man we’ve known all these long decades cheated and conned in illegally misrepresenting the finances of his real estate firm. Whouda thunk?

James presented these findings in Manhattan state Supreme Court to seek to compel Trump and children Don Jr. and Ivanka to submit to sworn testimony in the matter. Justice Arthur Engoron has plenty of evidence to support making the Trumps answer questions. Excellent going by James.

Federal judge allows state investigations of WinRed's fundraising tactics to proceed

A federal judge on Wednesday dismissed a lawsuit brought by WinRed that had attempted to block attorneys general in four states from investigating its fundraising practices.

WinRed, which processes political donations for Republican candidates, faced inquiries by the attorneys general of New York, Connecticut, Maryland and Minnesota over the use of pre-checked donation boxes to lock in contributions to candidates and committees on a monthly or weekly schedule, court filings show.

The inquiries followed a New York Times investigation last year into the tactics of former President Donald Trump's political operation that included using pre-checked boxes to automatically enroll contributors in recurring donation programs.

WinRed had sued in Minnesota to stop the probes, arguing that its activities are governed by federal campaign finance law, not any state consumer protection laws the attorneys general sought to enforce.

Trump threatens violence against anyone who investigates him.

The Fulton County, Georgia, district attorney is asking for the FBI's help in providing security for buildings and staff one day after former President Donald Trump called prosecutors investigating him "racists" and said his supporters should hold "the biggest protests we have ever had" in cities like Atlanta if the prosecutors "do anything wrong or illegal."

DA Fani Willis and her office are investigating Trump for his efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election results in Georgia. A special grand jury will be seated as part of that investigation on May 2.

At a rally in Conroe, Texas, Saturday night, Trump, without naming them, railed against Willis plus New York Attorney General Letitia James and Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg Jr., who are investigating his business empire, calling them "racists." The three are Black. Trump provided no evidence of racial discrimination.

"These prosecutors are vicious, horrible people. They're racists and they're very sick -- they're mentally sick," he said. "They're going after me without any protection of my rights from the Supreme Court or most other courts. In reality, they're not after me, they're after you."

In a letter to J.C. Hacker, FBI special agent in charge of the Atlanta field office, Willis asked for a risk assessment of buildings surrounding her office and the courthouse where the grand jury will sit. She also asked for FBI agents to provide security, saying "security concerns were escalated this weekend" by Trump's rhetoric. Willis said her office had already received communications from people unhappy with the investigation.

Willis, a Democrat, compared potential violence associated with her investigation to the January 6, 2021 attack on the US Capitol. Trump said Saturday night that he would consider pardoning those who were charged in connection with the deadly attack if he wins the White House again. Several high-profile Republicans, including New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu, Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina and Sen. Susan Collins of Maine, quickly dismissed Trump's suggestion.

Trump’s dilemma on pleading the Fifth

In a criminal trial, Trump doesn't have to answer a question if he doesn't want to. And lawyers are not allowed to impute criminality. But in a civil trial, if Trump pulls that same stunt the judge and prosecution can tell the jury to infer guilt.

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/trump-s-dilemma-on-pleading-th
e-fifth/ar-AAU2mIb?ocid=msedgdhp&pc=U531

In both a criminal and civil trial, Trump's lawyers will be objecting to questions. In a criminal trial, the judge will say "objection sustained" and ask the prosecution to stop asking Mr. Trump these questions. On TV shows it is called "Badgering The Witness". But in a civil trial, the judge will say "objection overruled" and tell the prosecution to keep going, ask nastier questions, I want to know just what Trump thinks he can get away with in front of a jury and how many times he takes the 5th Amendment.

I want to see Trump sweat as he is asked a thousand times why he kept his income tax returns a secret, especially after saying a thousand times he would make them public.

When Trump takes the 5th Amendment a thousand times, the prosecution can tell the jury that Trump did that because he knew he cheated on his taxes and the so-called "errors" in Trump's tax returns are all deliberate. Since it is only a civil trial to decide how much Trump will pay in fines, the prosecution can make it clear to the jury that Trump knew, absolutely KNEW, he cheated.

There will be no pretending Trump knew nothing about all those "innocent errors" lowering Trump's taxes.

Trump has again proven to be “Teflon Don”

On Wednesday, the New York Times reported that Carey R. Dunne and Mark F. Pomerantz, two prosecutors leading the Manhattan district attorney’s office’s criminal investigation of Donald Trump, had resigned, sounding the likely death-knell of that office’s multi-year investigation any New York prosecution of the former president for allegedly false financial statements.

The resignations were because newly elected DA Alvin Bragg had expressed doubts to them about proceeding with the case.

Saying Trump will be fine is exactly the same as saying Putin will be fine. Both these guys are doing fine, but they both are criminals. Time will tell whether they both have happy and long lives, without criminal indictments, much as did Joseph Stalin and Chairman Mao, neither of which were charged with crimes. Did you know that neither Robert E Lee nor Jefferson Davis were charged with treason? That is just a reminder that legal systems have never functioned well in America and have no real place in deciding whether powerful people are moral or evil.

The details of Jefferson Davis' legal travails are particularly enlightening about how completely a legal system can fail to punish a big time political criminal:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jefferson_Davis#Imprisonment

It actually took years for the American legal system to decide a simple question about the constitutionality of succession from the Union because the legal system is verbose and stupidly slow:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Texas_v._White

Spoiler: succession was illegal and it took 4 years for the lawyers to make up their minds one way or the other and yet the decision still wasn't unanimous. In the case of Trump, it will require far more than 4 years because what he did is a little more subtle than a war and therefore lawyers will need to think about what Trump did for a very-very long time. You can't rush the Law.

If you think the criminal court systems work, you should read this highly amusing story about how the courts really work. It would explain why Trump could literally get away with murder:

The Waco Texas Biker Shootout Left Nine Dead. Why Was No One Convicted?

How 177 arrests led to no convictions — a tangled, seven-year tale of prosecutorial hubris and tenacious defense.

Defense attorney Paul Looney speaks in a mellifluous Texas drawl, wears bolo ties and cowboy boots and pilots his own plane to court hearings outside Houston. “I’ve always been this close to being a criminal myself,” he told me. “I could have either become a Mafioso don or a criminal defense lawyer, but there was no place that I could apply my personality effectively except those two places.” Looney has appeared before courts in 41 states; he has done “a whole bunch of work” for drug cartels, he explained, and their people get arrested all over the country. Avery likes to make “Better Call Paul” jokes.

If you ask Looney about the Twin Peaks biker case, he’ll tell you there’s one person who knows more about it than anyone else alive: his trial-preparation specialist, Roxanne Avery. An entire wall of her home office in Norman, Okla., is covered with wallet-size mug shots of the nearly 200 bikers arrested, as well as photographs of the nine men who died that day, seven years ago, after a violent brawl in a Waco parking lot. Each picture is layered with Post-it Notes and details about the subjects: ages, road names (Cheech, Chain, Drama, Sidetrack, Saint, Mad Dog, Pee Paw, Bubba, Bubba Earl, Bashful, Yogi, Reno, Creeper, Grumpy Dan), club affiliations, ranks, descriptions of injuries (“Bullet entered neck, partially exited”; “Paralyzed from the waist down”; “DEAD”) and any other pertinent information (“I met him March 2018”; “9mm Glock”; “U.S. Army — 2 tours Iraq”; “Convicted felon”; “Shot dog?”; “Did not see anything”; “Graduate Baylor University w/ English degree”). Point to a random photograph, and Avery will generally be able to squint and tell you something about the biker in question.

While the evidence against Trump appears to support a criminal prosecution, Garland may hesitate to pull the trigger because of the likely political backlash.

“I think they’re worried about the fact that we’re talking about prosecuting somebody who has millions and millions of devoted, passionate followers who would see this as a political prosecution and be very angry, possibly violent.”

Ford O’Connell, a Republican strategist, said a prosecution “will only make Trump stronger with the GOP primary voters.”

“If your goal is to make sure Donald Trump is the nominee in 2024 for the Republicans, then by all means proceed with this. You’re just going to make him stronger,” he said.

The Confederate leadership didn't go to jail because, you know, far too many people, numbering in the hundreds of thousands, wanted them to go free, but not nearly the tens of millions who want Trump to go free. Aaron Burr, the guy who killed Alexander Hamilton, didn't go to jail for treason when he plotted to split Louisiana Territory from the USA. President Jefferson wanted Burr hanged, but Chief Justice John Marshall didn't, and Burr had the lawyers, so Burr went free. The legal system has NEVER actually worked the way I was taught it is presumed to work in high school civics class. There is actually a book written about it called The Chickenshit Club: Why the Justice Department Fails to Prosecute Executives.

Reading the book will give you a strong understanding of why rich people, influential people, if they pick the right lawyers, have always been able to escape Justice in the USA. There are just too many pressure points built into the system where a team of smart defense lawyers can press hard and cause the system to release their client.

The Japanese-American Internment Camps actually are perfectly instructive about how badly justice works. Witnesses against them would freely commit perjury, judges would show they were very partial toward one side, members of the jury would demonstrate they hate the defendant, etc. The Japanese-Americans were the hated group, so the dynamic was to jail them but if a group is loved the dynamic is to improperly not punish the loved ones. It only takes one secret Trump lover on a jury to save Trump.

There is an article about such things by a lawyer who has been both defending and prosecuting politicians:

Stop Waiting for Trump to Get Convicted

The chances that the criminal cases against the former president will be successful are slim to none, and that will only embolden him and his followers.

I don’t see it happening. Please don’t misunderstand; I am as convinced as anyone of the criminality of Trump’s conduct, and nothing would please me more than to see him get his deserved comeuppance. He should, and very well may, be indicted in one or more of these jurisdictions. And the civil suits against him may have legs.

But years of experience prosecuting fraught political cases (and defending others) has taught me that the criminal law is a blunt tool for achieving justice and a poor means of resolving political issues. In my judgment, the chances that Trump will be convicted of any crime are slim to none. And though I am no political analyst, my guess is that a failure to convict will only embolden him and his followers.

Why won’t the criminal law suffice?

Jurors lie to get on juries if they think doing so is important. And though the urban venues in question — New York, Atlanta, and D.C. — probably do strongly lean anti-Trump, they are awfully big cities. Each has hundreds of thousands of pro-Trump citizens. The risk of a hung jury is, in my judgment, very, very real. To be sure, an outright acquittal seems unlikely, but an ambiguous result is as good as a win for Trump. After all, a hung jury is as good as an acquittal.

For all of recorded history, humanity's weakness has been the machinery to make decisions. Humans are the cogs in that machine and bad decisions are made when defective cogs are not replaced in that man-made machinery. Time after time, for thousands of years, defective cogs aren't replaced because a cog, itself, thinks it is not defective. It is rather ridiculous to have a defective cog making the decision whether or not it is defective. And so the machinery grinds out one bad decision after another. The human situation is absurd, at least at the scale of government decision making. Just so you know, Trump is a defective cog, objectively measured by how fat, stupid, lazy and dishonest that cog is.

I've always worked at jobs that had objective criteria for measuring my performance. Did my project finish on time and under budget? Did the petrochemical plant start up and produce the guaranteed amount of product? Did the safety shutdown system keep the plant from exploding? Did my wife divorce me or did she stay with me? Did I pay my taxes? Have I been sued? Did I cheat my subcontractors? Objectively, I passed and Trump failed his performance criteria.

The problem with this statement, Second, is that it can just as easily be flipped right back on you.

Until we have testimony from your make-believe bosses that gave you good ratings, can verify you finished your make-believe projects on time and under budget and can verify that you met your make-believe deadlines... Until you can verify that you weren't the guy in charge of safety at Chernobyl... Until you can give us testimony from your make-believe wife that you didn't sexually abuse her or your make-believe children and she didn't divorce you... Until you provide us with your tax records spanning your entire make-believe work history... Until you provide us with your full name and address, and any real-world aliases you've ever used so we can verify through the courts that you've never been sued... Until you give us a list of your make-believe subcontractors so they can be contacted and can verify that you never cheated them...

You haven't objectively done shit.

P.S. As expected, you stepped right into that landmine.

'They no longer call me stupid': Trump continues to brag about passing his 10-minute dementia test

"The first few questions are easy, but I'll bet you couldn't even answer the last five questions. I'll bet you couldn't, they get very hard, the last five questions," Trump said.

The last five questions were posted online, revealing that, in fact, they were remarkably simple. One question asked him to simply repeat the sentence, "I only know that John is the one to help today." Another was "The cat always hid under the couch when dogs were in the room."

Trump's father had Alzheimer's.

After FBI raid, former staffer says Trump mishandled classified documents

Former White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham reacted to the FBI raid at Mar-a-Lago on Monday by saying that former President Donald Trump mishandled classified documents while in office.

"The former president of the United States did not handle classified documents properly. I watched him do it. I sat in an airplane with him, watched him go through documents — throw some away, rip some up, and put some in his pocket," Grisham said in an appearance on CNN Monday evening. "Because I remember specifically thinking, 'I wonder why those go in his pocket.' So I think this is going to be really interesting."

The former White House press secretary also said she believes the documents the FBI is searching for will be substantial because of the nature of document preservation in the Trump administration.

"I think that something big is there. I don’t think it’s going to be just letters. I think it could be about military operations. This is me speculating — I want to be clear. But I can see the former president thinking those were cool or fun, and we were not a White House that followed the rules. And I will tell you that handling classified information was not something that was really pressed upon us on a daily basis or weekly or monthly," Grisham said.

A federal appeals court on Tuesday signed off on a House Ways and Means Committee request to obtain former President Donald Trump's tax returns from the Internal Revenue Service.

The 3-0 ruling from the DC Circuit Court of Appeals is a blow to Trump, who has argued for years in court against releasing his tax returns to any investigators. A trial-level judge he appointed while president previously rejected his arguments in the case.

Trump can still appeal, making the litigation unlikely to end at this time. The court said the judgment would not issued for seven days, giving Trump time to appeal. This litigation is separate from the House select committee's investigation into the January 6 riot.

Trump's Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Week Continues

Aug. 8, 2022, 11:50 AM CDT

A commercial real estate firm held in contempt of court for failing to hand over records on its appraisals of several Trump Organization properties to New York's attorney general has turned over nearly 36,000 documents, court filings show.

New York Supreme Court Justice Arthur Engoron had found Cushman & Wakefield in contempt last month for not producing documents in state Attorney General Letitia James' civil probe into the Trump Organization's business practices and ordered the firm to pay a $10,000-a-day fine until it complied.

In a letter to the judge late Friday, James' office said it has now "received Cushman’s production, which amounts to about 35,867 documents since entry of this Court’s contempt order." The letter said the attorney general's office was joining with Cushman in asking the judge to "dissolve the Contempt Order and hold any contempt purged, without any fines due or owing."

James’ office is considering whether to file a civil suit against former President Donald Trump and his company over their business practices and has said in court filings that it has “uncovered substantial evidence establishing numerous misrepresentations in Mr. Trump’s financial statements provided to banks, insurers, and the Internal Revenue Service.”

In court filings, the attorney general's office said it also discovered "serious problems" with some of Cushman's appraisals for the Trump Organization over the years, including 40 Wall Street, his Seven Springs property in New York, and his Los Angeles golf club.

James subpoenaed the company last September and again in February, court documents show. The judge said the real estate firm had “partially responded” to the subpoenas in March before it refused to provide the remaining records.

Though Trump’s paranoia is so often fueled by unhinged conspiracy theories, in this case, he has reason to worry. There are various criminal, civil, and federal investigations into Trump, his sprawling family business, and his political allies in his attempts to subvert the 2020 presidential election. But some of his paranoid habits that have cropped up this summer are reminding a few Trump confidants of his term in the Oval Office. During the Mueller investigation, then-President Trump went as far as to ponder to a small number of people whether his own White House Counsel Don McGahn was — in identical wording — “wearing a wire” for the supposedly Trump-loathing federal prosecutors.

“When I worked for him,” says Stephanie Grisham, a former senior Trump aide who has since fallen out with the MAGA royalty, “it was an everyday obsession [about] who was leaking, who was cooperating with what. He’d regularly ask me and others, ‘Do you think I can trust this person?’ or ‘Do you trust this person?’ or tell me to ‘go find the leaker.’”

“Shockingly, I feel bad for the guy today, as funny as that sounds,” she adds. “Trump demands total loyalty, and yet he turns on people at a moment’s notice. And he’s now in this situation where he and his people are wondering who among them could be giving some of his most closely held information to the FBI.”

Grisham concludes, “I mean, who can he trust? It’s just a shitty, sad way to live.”

The reason Trumptards get so incredibly huffy when any of the tools of law enforcement are ever turned upon them is they think “criminals” as an inherent class of people (who they of course could never be part of) rather than a descriptor for someone who commits illegal acts. Trump, for example:

Can Malignant Narcissism Be Treated?

Malignant narcissists rarely seek treatment and even when they do, their defenses often make them resistant to treatment. Honest self-reflection that comes with therapy often involves introspection that can uncover flaws, mistakes, and insecurities that malignant narcissists are unable to deal with.

Still, there are some exceptions, and those who do seek help for this problem often have some degree of self-awareness and also a willingness to change, which can both make treatment more effective. The best step to seeking help for NPD is to reach out to a therapist, and to work on finding a therapist who is knowledgeable and experienced in helping people with this personality disorder.

Obviously you'd be unconcerned about Trump's Malignant Narcissism. Every Trumptard I know is also unconcerned, but are you familiar with this Ted Lasso quote?

"Boy, I love meeting people’s moms. It’s like reading an instruction manual as to why they’re nuts." - Ted Lasso

I know the parents of Trump loving Trumptards and they are nuts for perfectly understandable reasons. I never knew your mother, but you have written about her here: http://fireflyfans.net/mthread.aspx?bid=18&tid=63473&mid=11280

There is an instruction manual on why Trumptards are nuts, as Ted Lasso pointed out.

The problem with capitalism - one of the problems - is that it rewards narcisstic behaviour. I often think that Trump is an example of someone who has been rewarded for being an atrocious human being - he is the apex of everything that is wrong with how capitalism works - so no wonder really he got to lead the main proponent of capitalism in the world.

One of the reasons why being a divorced politician (such as Trump) was disqualifying for being President is that, once upon a time, Americans understood that you cannot trust a man like Trump who has been caught a dozen times in adulterous affairs and got divorced frequently. Every Trumptard I know, but I don't know them all, is the kind of person who has no problems breaking promises like an adulterer would, and so they voted for Trump. But they do have problems holding their families together because of all their cheating.

Same thing with taxes. Once upon a time, Americans knew it was wrong to cheat on taxes. But Trumptards don't know cheating is wrong. I know enough tax-cheating Trumptards to suspect that all 74,222,958 Trumptards cheat.

Every personality flaw that Trump has, from dishonesty to gluttony to having the feeling they are enormously talented (without actually being talented) is widely shared by other Americans. Those personality flaws get Americans into trouble, but it also makes them feel free to vote for a guy like Trump who lacks self-control as they lack the same.

I like how you pick and choose which things to believe about me.

We don't know anything about you except that you're a liar and you're insane.

I bet your mother is a real piece of work.

You haven't smothered her face with a pillow yet, have you Arthur?
