Khamenei, one of the most evil people in History, is dead. This is not only Justice for the people of Iran, but for all Great Americans, and those people from many Countries throughout the World, that have been killed or mutilated by Khamenei and his gang of bloodthirsty THUGS. He was unable to avoid our Intelligence and Highly Sophisticated Tracking Systems and, working closely with Israel, there was not a thing he, or the other leaders that have been killed along with him, could do. This is the single greatest chance for the Iranian people to take back their Country. We are hearing that many of their IRGC, Military, and other Security and Police Forces, no longer want to fight, and are looking for Immunity from us. As I said last night, “Now they can have Immunity, later they only get Death!” Hopefully, the IRGC and Police will peacefully merge with the Iranian Patriots, and work together as a unit to bring back the Country to the Greatness it deserves. That process should soon be starting in that, not only the death of Khamenei but the Country has been, in only one day, very much destroyed and, even, obliterated. The heavy and pinpoint bombing, however, will continue, uninterrupted throughout the week or, as long as necessary to achieve our objective of PEACE THROUGHOUT THE MIDDLE EAST AND, INDEED, THE WORLD!

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Now I guess we just wait and see what happens...

Trump is Sweeping Aside Decades of Dumb Elite Groupthink (Noah Polack @ Twitter):

https://x.com/NoahPollak/status/2027770547451408733

Quote:

One of Trump's greatest legacies will be how he blew up a half-century of western diffidence, restraint, and failure on terrorism. As the era of Islamic terrorism began in the 1970s, western countries (very much including Israel) spun up all kinds of pseudo-sophisticated theories and excuses to avoid carrying out the only successful policy, which is killing terrorists -- as many as you can, whenever you can.

There are entire university departments, think tanks, media outlets, NGOs, foundations, and political parties devoted to promoting self-defeating, enervating fictions about terrorism designed to tie the hands of the West. We just have to live with it, deal with it, accommodate it, accept the barbarism. Terrorists have grievances. It's partly our fault, after all, because reasons. There are no military solutions. If we're nice to the terrorists they will actually help us stabilize the region. The tropes go on forever and they are invented by people who want the west to lose, and who would rather be wrong but appear sophisticated than be right and appear crude.

Trump wants our side to win. The winning approach to terrorism is very simple. Bomb them to smithereens. Kill them off. Decapitate the regimes. Sanction them until they have no more money for jihad. Trump gets it, because unlike so many people in politics, he doesn't care whether Harvard likes him.

Winning is going to generate a real peace dividend for America. Finally dealing with Iran -- the head of the snake -- will enable the US to step away from the Middle East. It will send a message to our adversaries that the big dog is still in charge. And very enjoyably, it will sweep aside decades of dumb elite groupthink about how we have no alternative but to cut deals with terrorists. Thank you President Trump.

Goddamned right.

Like I said here, many times back when I first signed up. Had GWB just nuked Mecca and turned the entire region into fucking glass, it would have solved decades worth of bullshit overnight.

Thank you Trump.

I hope you don't fuck me here, but I believe in what you're doing so far.

That's how it's been until now.

I don't see why you think Trump is in any way a continuation of what was.

He single-handedly changed the Republican party from the inside and what is left of the NeoCons is dying off. They were basically done when Dick and Liz Cheney and the Lincoln Project and Romney all lined up to suck on Kamala Harris' dick before the 2024 election.

And today, the Democratic Party is in its death throes.

And they've thrown every legal obstacle in front of him they could cook up on top of 6 failed assassination attempts and counting on his life and he's still fearlessly going forward with his plans.

And both of those parties have done everything you just said we've done, and installed their puppets all over the world for decades. Installing all of those NGO's all over the world with no oversight or ability for any American citizen to track where any of that money was really going and what it was being used for.

Trump gutted all of those NGOs, and he has been taking out all those US installed terrorist dictators all out one by one.

They told us we could never stop illegal immigration. Trump did that. They told us that we could never re-industrialize America and bring jobs back here. So far it looks like that's exactly what Trump is doing. They told us that tariffs were going to ruin America and that Trump was a lunatic, but they didn't. They told us that we'd never get Europe to pay their fair share defending themselves, but Trump got them all to chip in 5% of their GDP anyhow.

I really think you need to stop viewing all of this through the lens of the mid to late 2000's.

How many years did we go after Saddam before he was finally killed?

Osama Bin Laden?

Another one bites the dust in less than a single day, just like I suggested several times earlier this week was going to happen if any move was made.

I don't know...

But at the same time, somebody here is going to have to start giving me credit for being correct nearly 100% of the time in the long run unless Trump betrays all of us and makes a total clown out of me.

I could be wrong now... but I don't think so.

This is from Larry Johnson, former CIA analyst and current security consultant.

Quote:

Donald Trump and the neocons are wild with joy tonight over the murder of the Ayatollah Khamenei… This is just one more example of Western ignorance about the implications of the Ayatollah’s martyrdom. Let’s start with the fact that the Ayatollah is the one who issued the fatwa 36 years ago declaring that it would be a sin for Iran to build or use a nuclear bomb. So the West thinks that killing the one guy who has been the main obstacle preventing Iran from getting a nuclear weapon is a good idea?

The Shi’a communities across the region took to the streets to protest and mourn the Ayatollah’s passing. In neighboring Baghdad a large crowd of Shi’a are now trying to breach the Green Zone. Iraqi security forces are trying to hold them back. This assassination by the United States and Israel was intended to weaken the Islamic Republic and set the stage for regime change. I think it will have the opposite effect, i.e., strengthen support for the government and bolster the status of hardliners who have zero inclination to compromise with the West.

Exiled Shah Reza Pahlavi: "I Am Leading This Transition," "The Military Will Side With Us, And We Have A Plan"

eading_this_transition_the_military_will_side_with_us_and_we_have_a_plan.html

Quote:

MARIA BARTIROMO, FOX NEWS: Joining me now is His Royal Highness, the exiled former Crown Prince of Iran, Reza Pahlavi, live from an undisclosed location this morning. Your Highness, thank you very much for being here. Wow — we are at this day. We have been together many times in the last several years talking about this.

Your reaction to Khamenei's death and this U.S.-Israeli strike against Iran.

REZA PAHLAVI — FORMER CROWN PRINCE OF IRAN: There’s no question that this is the game-changer we’ve been waiting for all this time.

The jubilation of Iranians at home and abroad shows how much people were hoping for this moment, and I join millions of Iranians in thanking President Trump for taking this into action and delivering on his promise.

We are so elated by the fact that now we have the beginning of the very end of the regime, because at least we are going to see more and more decimation of this regime, which can only equal the playing field so that the Iranian people can come back to the streets and claim their country back from this hated regime.

And that is exactly what President Trump has been telling and messaging to the Iranian people: Take back your country.

MARIA BARTIROMO, FOX NEWS: How can they do that, sir?

REZA PAHLAVI — FORMER CROWN PRINCE OF IRAN: Well, Maria, this is the time now for a very strong, stable transition.

I am leading this transition. I have the support of millions of Iranian people. I have people inside the country who are joining and broadening the coalition of forces that will be at play in filling the vacuum.

The military will side with us, and we have a plan of action and a transition plan.

As a matter of fact, I’m glad to hear what Senator Fetterman was saying. It’s music to my ears.

I always thought that this should be a bipartisan issue when it comes to America’s national security interests, as well as business opportunities in the future.

We, as Iranians, look at America as our best partner in reconstructing ourselves. You know, the president says MAGA — we say MIGA, Make Iran Great Again.

In that sense, a different Iran that will now be at peace with the region, work with our neighbors, and bring an element of stability will be good for American national security.

But most importantly, it will be an opportunity to be successful in terms of economic growth and what have you, just by the change that we hope to bring to the table — probably over one trillion dollars’ worth of impact and revenue to the American economy, just by Iran’s market being open to America and how much we stand to benefit from billions of dollars willing to be invested into Iran.

All that was needed was for this regime to no longer be there, and I think that is something that should be important to America and Iran both.

MARIA BARTIROMO, FOX NEWS: So where does this transition leave the IRGC, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, where leadership there is still vowing revenge?

How does this transitional government look when you have Persians, Shia, Sunni — a secular government?

What do you envision?

REZA PAHLAVI — FORMER CROWN PRINCE OF IRAN: Well, Maria, obviously I think this campaign this time is not just to set back the Iranian nuclear program or anything like that.

This is full decapitation of the regime, and ultimately what will expedite its total collapse.

The Iranian people have suffered too much to settle for anything less than that.

But as soon as the transition plan is put into gear, we want to make sure that we address these issues immediately — to make sure that we have the ability to have a stable process that leads ultimately to a democratic outcome, so the Iranian people get to choose their future government and system.

What we need to do now is

Why Khamenei Is Dead

The best-planned defenses don’t count for much if the people you trust to run them are ready to sell you out.

By Graeme Wood | March 1, 2026, 8:15 AM ET

https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/2026/03/why-khamenei-is-dead/686198/

Celebrating or calling for the deaths of others is wrong, and bad for the soul. Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, who was killed yesterday by Israel, did so just about every time he spoke in public for 37 years. He handed out Death to Americas and Death to Israels the way other people would say Yo! or How you doin’? The one time I saw him in person, at Friday prayer at Tehran University in 2004, he ended his sermon with these chants and then drove off literally seconds later in the back of an armored sedan, passing so close to me that I could see his car had recently been waxed. Many, many Iranians, as well as Syrians, Iraqis, Lebanese, and Ukrainians, wish Khamenei could be brought back to life for just one minute, so they could give him the finger, or maybe the whole fist. I missed my chance.

He was the enemy of many. But he was also an enemy to himself, one of the Iranian regime’s points of vulnerability. During the past two years of conflict with Israel and the United States, Iran experienced a total failure of leadership. It has not experienced failure in every domain. The regime’s missiles partially deterred Israel. Its institutions held fast and didn’t collapse. No units of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps have defected. But the leadership—that is, Khamenei and his tight circle of loyalists—have performed shambolically.

Khamenei negotiated with President Trump in a way that suggested he knew nothing of the current president’s vanity, or contempt for multilateralism. Khamenei and his close advisers behaved, as Robert Conquest used to say, as if controlled secretly by their enemies. They made blunders, such as the decision to sit in a room together for a secret meeting, where they could conveniently be killed in one go, and in the first hours of the war, by an Israeli bombing raid. Israel and the U.S. somehow knew where everyone was, as if they had a listening device implanted in Khamenei’s hearing aid, and trackers installed in the Fitbits, Apple Watches, and artificial pacemakers of every member of the Iranian high command. This intelligence achievement was not only technological—the penetration of devices. It speaks to the basic failure of the Islamic Republic, and of Khamenei himself, to provide a state worth fighting for, rather than selling everyone out. Someone must have been squealing. Khamenei probably appointed the people who betrayed him, and they did so in large part because the regime he represented deserved betrayal.

Jaber Rajabi, whom I interviewed before the war, was one such true believer in the Islamic Republic who betrayed it after he smelled the rot. He was naive enough to believe that he could fix the rot by reporting it directly to the supreme leader. Instead he was swatted away, he told me.
And if you imagine the small failure of command that Khamenei’s response represented—and then remember that there are probably many others like it—the infiltration of Iran’s top leadership will be less mysterious.

Rajabi had, by 2015, come to doubt Iran’s policies in Iraq. He had been part of Iranian-backed militias in Iraq, and he said he fought on their side because he favored the establishment of a Shiite theocracy that resembled the one in Iran. He was perplexed to find that goal not supported but in fact thwarted repeatedly by Iran. Iran wanted Iraq to remain weak and submissive, and in the meantime, corrupt Iranian officials could suck its resources, profit personally, and leave the country an impoverished mess.

Rajabi did not rise up through the normal means—and that meant that he lacked some of the backroom knife-fighting skills that distinguish other, more bureaucratic types. He therefore approached the issue frontally. “I d

I haven't been able to find any legitimate sources backing up this assertion yet, and I refuse to post any from dubious sources, but I did want to throw out the possibility that Barack Obama might be in some serious shit right now.

Word is he just hired a legal team of criminal defense lawyers. Not Civil. Criminal...

Do you remember when we were dropping pallets of US cash in the middle east during his administration? Probably not, since most of you are retarded and don't remember what you read 2 weeks ago, but it did happen.

Supposedly, at the time, it was a nuclear deal.

We were told that Obama was making deals to prevent Iran from enriching uranium, but I'm hearing claims that there is receipts showing that he was actually using that money to bribe Middle Eastern leaders, particularly in Iran, to store "secrets". We're talking somewhere in the area of $2.5 BILLION of US dollars dropped onto foreign soil like he was Walter White or something.

This will be the last I ever mention of it unless we get some concrete evidence that we can share. But from what I've heard Obama will be served a grand jury subpoena by March 7th, so this won't be a tick tock hoax from here to eternity either way.

If this one is true, we should hear more of this by early next week.

If not, like I said, I will never mention it again.

Insane Leftists Back the Iranian Regime

Everybody all over the world sees you for what you are now.

And we all hate you. And you deserve every single ounce of that hatred, tenfold.

You are all about to be flushed down the drain.

The time for trying to change minds is over.

The lines have already been drawn in the sand, by you, the enemies of America and the American people.

And you've continually crossed every one of those lines, while taking more ground and drawing new ones to cross.

This all ends today.

You, the Modern Leftist, are a disease without any purpose other than the destruction of society. The only solution now is the complete and utter eradication of the Leftist Ideology, Worldwide.

You've had ample opportunity to wake up.

Sleeping was a choice.

You chose not to wake up.

Leave Our country now, if you can afford to.

Otherwise, if you can't manage to sit down and shut the fuck up for the rest of your lives, watch your backs.

Oh.... my.

Listening to analysts who've been consistently right about military actions and geopolitics (NOT Trump or Hegseth)... colonels, former CIA, USMC intelligence, etc. ... they universally say that Iran was never a threat, that this wasn't about nukes or protestors, that this was all about Israel, and that it's a terrible miscalculation.

I learned a lot from Scott Ritter, USMC intelligence and UN weapons inspector, who spent a long time deployed in the Mideast doing targeting, and then as a UN weapons inspector in Iraq, explained why Khameni allowed himself to be killed (he was conducting business in his home, not hiding in a bunker) and why it matters.

Suffice to say Trump ignited a regional war and potential revolts in the monarchies, all for Netanyahu's benefit. And that while Trump wanted a SHORT war and quick victory, the one thing he can't control is Iran's response.

If Israel is lucky, it'll survive, and if the (fat, corrupt, debauched) Gulf monarchies tyrannies are lucky, THEY'LL survive.

Fuck Israel.

And at the end of the day, Sigs... Were YOUR sources REALLY right about anything?

We've been living the Status-Quo since TPTB started fucking everything up for everyone after WWII right up until now.

And now your favored sources are saying the exact same thing to you that the Democrats are saying to Ted and Second. That unelected EU leadership is saying to Jaynez.

You're still believing this is all for Israel. What makes you think that Trump is for Israel? Because there is a video of Trump wearing a Jew hat and touching the wall? Because he has a Jewish son-in-law? That's what's got Ted and Second and their Legacy Media telling them to say. That's what's got even Jaynez forgetting to post about Epstein 20 times a day too. They all stopped posting about Epstein for the last 4 days.

Why would you believe that Trump is doing what he says he's doing, or giving you the perception that he's doing what he says he's doing? He's surprising everyone all the time with the stuff that he does, and he's got the elites worldwide making stupid statements every day when looked at in hindsight.

Tariffs were going to destroy the world economy. They didn't. He was never going to get EU to pay their fair share. He did. Trump threatening to pull out war support for the rest of the world was going to make our allies weaker. It didn't. Trump taking out Maduro was going to fuck up relations with other foreign nations. It didn't (hell... it's as if everyone in the world already forgot about that one already too). Trump's initial strike against Iran in June of last was going to start WWIII. It didn't. That people of Venezuela both in Venezuela and in America weren't celebrating the fall of Maduro. They were. That people of Iran both in the country of Iran and anywhere else worldwide weren't celebrating the fall of the Ayatollah. They are.

For being Mrs. Contrarian about everything, they've got you in complete agreement with Ted and Second and Jaynez right now. Although it might be for different reasons, the end result is the same. All 4 of you are singing only moderately different versions of the same tune right now. You practically make up a choir together.

And the paid agitators in America that are out protesting are holding up the exact same signs today that they were holding up for Maduro and Venezuela with the name of the country changed. With people filmed joining both of those protests with shopping carts full of these signs to hand out to anybody else in the streets (both those being paid and those stupid enough to be marching every weekend without getting paid).

There's not a fucking sensible person who can say that the fall of the Ayatollah is a bad thing, yet the Legacy Media and lefty idiots out protesting are wrapping themselves up like pretzels trying to defend their fucked up logic and make you think there is something wrong with it while telling you the Ayatollah was bad out the other sides of their face.

I think the people YOU are listening to right now are just bad actors that are really part of the same group that has maintained the status quo for generations now. They're just guardrails for the right side of the gutter balls while the Legacy Media is guarding the left side of this game of gutter ball we've been playing for 70-80 years now.

All pretending that they're not ultimately on the same team. The team that is keeping us all arguing with each other instead of keeping our eyes on the prize.

This is one you need to sit back and wait out and see what happens. It's not as if you have a choice either way anyhow.

I've been right about a whole lot of things since the leadup to the November 2024 elections and beyond. Most things, actually. And as more time goes by, it starts to look like I've been right about nearly everything, if not everything.

It was no mistake that Venezuela happened nearly 2 months prior to the day of

Trump Opens the Pandora’s Box of Assassination

Killing anyone without a trial, let alone a foreign leader, involves a moral choice.

On Saturday, the United States, in a joint operation with Israel, killed Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. For the first time in the postwar era, Washington has succeeded in killing a foreign leader—shattering a precedent that had been sustained for decades by a mix of moral, political, and logistical concerns.

Fifty years ago, in February 1976, President Gerald Ford signed Executive Order 11905, which directed that “no employee of the United States Government shall engage in, or conspire to engage in, political assassination.” There should be no tears in the democratic world for Khamenei, who for four decades oversaw a repressive state with terroristic tentacles that extended throughout the world. But it is worth looking at why presidents of both political parties have long been wary of the state-sponsored killing of foreign leaders.

As a U.S. representative, Ford was a member of the Warren Commission, which investigated the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. The experience affected him profoundly. During a site visit to the Texas School Book Depository, the members of the committee took a rifle similar to the one used by Lee Harvey Oswald and looked through its scope at the traffic circulating below. “Kennedy had been my friend,” Ford later recalled. “The thought we were reconstructing his assassination sent a chill down my spine.”

When Ford learned as president that the CIA had engaged members of the Mafia in a failed effort to kill Fidel Castro during the Dwight Eisenhower and Kennedy years, he was dismayed and quickly decided to form a special commission to investigate abuses by the intelligence community and suggest reforms. Only days after announcing the formation of the Rockefeller Commission in January 1975, Ford accidentally shared at an off-the-record lunch with executives and editors from The New York Times that his concern about abuses involved assassinations. While awkwardly trying to make a point about the continuing importance of secrecy, Ford told his guests that he had learned of some CIA activities that, if made public, would undermine the reputation of his Cold War predecessors. When asked for an example, the president absentmindedly responded, “Like assassinations.” Although the Times respected the ground rules, this was too juicy not to leak.

Within a month, the president’s comment became news, and public reaction to it and to earlier reporting about the CIA by the journalist Seymour Hersh sparked two congressional investigations into the assassination plots—the better-known panel was led by Senator Frank Church. Despite his unintentional leak, Ford was already predisposed to doing something to end this dark presidential legacy. “Although none of these assassinations had been carried out,” Ford later wrote in his memoirs, “the fact that government officials had even considered them was distressing.” A year later, Ford signed the executive order to make sure such operations didn’t happ

‘I got him before he got me’

Neither President Donald Trump nor the Trump administration has publicly used that word – assassination – to describe the killing of Khamenei. They have offered multiple reasons for attacking Iran – lack of faith in Iran’s leaders in negotiations over Iran’s plans for a nuclear program; the potential for Iran to develop anti-ballistic missiles; Iran’s sponsorship of terror groups in other countries, the recent killing of protesters in its streets.

When Trump announced the strikes in a video posted to his social media account at 2:30 a.m. ET Saturday, he said, without evidence, that Iran posed an “imminent” threat. But in a phone conversation with ABC News’ Jonathan Karl, Trump offered a more personal reason for killing Khamenei.

“I got him before he got me. They tried twice, well I got him first,” Trump said to Karl.

. . .

More detailed quotes from the testimony of Richard Helms, who was involved in the 1953 Iran coup and also CIA assassination attempts before rising to be CIA director. In testimony, Helms explained both moral and practical opposition to assassination.

“If you are going to try by this kind of means to remove a foreign leader, then who is going to take his place running that country, and are you essentially better off as a matter of practice when it is over than you were before?”

Helms pointed to the assassination of Diem in Vietnam as an example.

“That whole exercise turned out to the disadvantage of the United States,” Helms said. At the time he made those comments, in the years before the Islamic Revolution, Helms was the US ambassador to Iran.

“It isn’t because I have lost my cool, or because I have lost my guts, it simply is because I don’t think it is a viable option in the United States of America these days,” Helms said of his opposition to assassination.

Three successive US presidents, Republican Gerald Ford, Democrat Jimmy Carter and Republican Reagan would each sign executive orders making it illegal for the US government to engage in assassination.

The Really REAL Reason for bombing Iran (ignore all the dozen phony reasons from Marco Rubio, Sec. of State)

'God’s divine plan': US soldiers say commanders told them they're fighting for 'Armageddon'

By Sarah K. Burris
March 03, 2026 | 09:24AM ET

https://www.alternet.org/iran-holy-war/

People are growing increasingly uneasy as President Donald Trump's attacks on Iran are looking more and more like they could be part of a right-wing religious fanatic's fantasy for the apocalyptic.

The Cradle Media's Jonathan Larsen wrote that American soldiers were given a pep-talk about the war in Iran. A U.S. combat-unit commander told them that the attack is part of “God’s divine plan." He said that President Donald Trump was “anointed by Jesus” for the specific purpose to ignite Armageddon.

“U.S. Troops Were Told Iran War Is for 'Armageddon,' Return of Jesus Advocacy group reports commanders giving similar messages at more than 30 installations in every branch of the military," Larsen wrote.

The comments come as part of a lawsuit brought by the Military Religious Freedom Foundation; however, it is only one of "110 lawsuits brought in 48 hours from over 40 units across 30 installations," the report said. The complaints came from Christians, a Muslim and a Jewish soldier.

The Christian nationalist theory that Israel has a God-given right to much of the Middle East is one espoused by U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee. In a speech at a Christian Zionist church in Jerusalem in December, Huckabee conveyed his " purpose is to convert Israeli Jews to belief in Jesus in order to bring about the End Times," explained Religion Dispatches.

The concept is bad for anyone seeking peace in the Middle East, one 2024 report by Forward explained.

The sect of Christianity that Huckabee believes in holds that if they are able to remove Palestinians from the Holy Land, then Jesus Christ will return. He believes in “dispensational premillennialism,” which Forward describes as a belief that “the Rapture will come,” and deliver all evangelicals to Heaven as Israel is invaded by the armies of the world. It will cause Armageddon and prompt the return of Jesus Christ.

The language is making some fearful that the war waged wasn't really about Iran never obtaining nuclear weapons, which Trump claimed he destroyed last summer. It's a holy war, desperate to force Armageddon.

"Maybe it’s a bad idea to put people in charge of government who are eager for the rapture," lawyer and self-described nerd John Collins commented.

"Love when I'm in the military and my boss is, like, 'Time for Armageddon!'" commented author and journalist Emily St. James.

Writer and former Cato Institute policy analyst Will Wilkinson wrote, "Personally, I don’t think we should bring about Armageddon."

"One thing about the U.S., we definitely do not have insane religious zealots in charge," said Heidi N. Moore, previously of the Wall Street Journal business side.

Writer and elections lawyer at the Cato Institute, Walter Olson, quoted a line from the 1965 song "So Long, Mom (A Song for World War III)" with lyrics by Tom Lehrer: "And this is what he said on/ His way to Armageddon.”

Now if you want you can repeat talking points propaganda 'Special Military Operation'

like Putin’s Address on the Ukraine Military Operation....No War by the Russia its just a 2 week Operation he said

now maybe just maybe this will be different for Trump...maybe some how by luck or politics or magic the people will just rise up and be a new type of Democracy for 'Iran'

maybe no boots on the ground

but there are troops and civilians on the ground across the Middle East, fires at consulates and embassy...not quiet the level of 'Blackhawk Down' and Benghazi and Kidnappings...but it is getting heated
There are riots in Pakistan
US is telling civilians to get out but you might be on your own

there was a terror guy maybe its not a cell maybe not in a terror cell but he went terrorist active in Texas, a shiite from Senegal going on a mass shooting

you have explosions and defensive actions at

Qatar
a France base
Greece post/fort
Iraq
Kurdistan Region
Jordan
Kuwait
Oman
Saudi Arabia
some other Emirates Sultan United Arab Emirates Kingdom Theocracy
United Kingdom base
Bahrain

plus the Israelis and USA have bombed the government to kill the religious leader and also bombed the latest Iranian guys in government or their assembly

The New York Times wrote: “With his spectacles, long robe and silver beard, Ayatollah Khamenei cast himself as a religious scholar as well as a writer and translator of works on Islam. He affected an avuncular and magnanimous aloofness, running the country from a perch above the jousting of daily politics.”

The Washington Post wrote: "With his bushy white beard and easy smile, Ayatollah Khamenei cut a more avuncular figure in public than his perpetually scowling but more revered mentor. And he was known to be fond of Persian poetry and classic Western novels, especially Victor Hugo’s Les Misérables.”

"Give me a freaking break, right?" Bevan commented. "They never seem to learn. We saw this with Baghdadi, the Washington Post obit was like 'austere religious scholar.' And meanwhile, Scott Adams’ obituary a few weeks ago was like 'disgraced' Dilbert creator."

And by the way, just killed 30,000 of his own citizens in cold blood on the streets. And yet he’s an 'avuncular figure with an easy smile and a bushy beard.' It’s unbelievable."

"He almost sounds like a nicer Santa Claus, but instead of model trains and baseball gloves, he’s giving out drones and IEDs," RCP White House reporter Phil Wegmann added. "It’s not just them missing the moment or not understanding the mood of the country. I think it’s inaccurate to just paint him as this benevolent figure. My goodness—avuncular? I mean, really. Do those guys share a thesaurus?"

"The memo went out," Bevan quipped. "It's a conspicuous coincidence they both used that particular word."

Avuncular, huh?

Both papers used the same word that nobody ever heard or read in their lives before on the same day. They both have the same AI program writing for them, do they?

The Islamic Republic has reacted with predictable fury. Tehran has lashed out in all directions, firing missiles at Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Kuwait, Qatar, UAE, Bahrain, and Jordan. Those countries that have not yet joined the Abraham Accords out of fear of Iran’s response, such as Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Iraq, and Qatar, no longer have an excuse for delay. That Rubicon has been crossed. The era of hedging is over, a fact keenly demonstrated when Great Britain and France first shamefully delayed allowing their bases to be used to attack Iran, only to change their tune after U.S. and Israeli willpower convinced them otherwise.

More dominoes were set to fall. Right into place as planned.

Be Evil. Be a dick.

I am awe inspired by this new version of 6ixStringJoker. He does not doubt Mein Führer Trump. After Iran, there are MAGA plans for a military victory over the twin great evils of Cuba and Canada. Cuba was once American after the Spanish-American War, and it shall be again. Canada ought to be American, too, and all the Muslims there must leave the continent or die screaming for Allah's mercy. Trump hasn't told 6ix about these plans yet, because he wants to surprise him.

MAGA critics of Trump’s new military conflict say they’re struggling to reconcile it with his “America First” principles and long record of criticizing costly and protracted American military interventions.

“I think to them it feels legitimately like a betrayal on a fundamental tenet of Trumpism.”

Calling them losers, Trump has dismissed the idea that his critics could speak for the Make America Great Again movement: “MAGA is Trump,” he said in an interview with independent journalist Rachael Bade on Monday.

You guys want to theorize about shit without doing the usual political attacks back and forth. Great.

Aren't you just sick of all of this bullshit? Every fucking day everybody at each other's throats all the time? I joined this site 20 years ago now and everyone was doing it back then too.

None of us have solved any of the world's problems, and social media just made everything 100 times a toxic. Covid amped that up another 100 times on top of it, and it's only gotten worse in the last 6 years.

I'm not a fucking cultist. But I have been right about almost everything since November of 2024. Anybody claiming otherwise is full of shit, and they know that they're full of shit.

I'll tell you one thing... I don't believe that Iran is the one firing missiles at all of the surrounding countries right now.

Really... What's the ROI on that?

I've been weighing that one out for days and my only answer to that question is Nothing. There is no ROI on that. It can only lead to everybody else siding with Israel and against Iran. Why on earth would they do that to themselves, especially right now?

Who's doing it? Us? I don't think that's likely either. At least I don't believe that Trump or any of the names we hear about every day would stand to gain much from it... especially with the downsides if they were to be caught doing it. But I don't know what the rules of the game are and what the ultimate goals are either, so I can't say for sure.

It would seem to me that Netanyahu stands the most to gain from this behavior, so he'd be my number one suspect. But that being said, I don't include alphabet agencies like the CIA when I say "US" either, so our CIA and/or some other alphabet agencies might be working with Israel leaders in secret to make it look as if Iran is firing missiles at all of the Arab states that have yet to join the Abraham Accords.

Trump's changed a whole lot in the world since he's been in office, but I'm under no illusion that he runs the entire show now. I don't think the people that have really been in power for generations would have just given it to him like that without a fight. He's had 6 assassination attempts on his life now, but if the CIA or other shadowy figures wanted him dead, I don't think they would have missed. I think if they really wanted him dead, he'd be disappeared quicker than we went in and took Maduro and you'd never see him again.

So I think whoever is actually firing those missiles right now either managed to turn Trump to their side, or are using Trump and his MAGA movement unwittingly to get what they want.

I still stand firmly behind my believe that this is not a war. This will be over almost as soon as it began, and then it will all be swept under the rug of 1,000 new TDS stories 2 months from now. I'm sure we'll go right back to the Epstein Files again, and they'll probably cook up some other distractions to keep us all busy fighting each other every single day until we forget all about this too.

I think we're about to see a very different world. One that is run much more orderly than what we've lived with most of our lives. And at the end of the day, that probably will not be a good thing for most of us when it happens. Not in America alone, but the world as a whole.

I don't think that George Soros and the like were funding all of these Democrats and putting the most batshit insane leftists in power everywhere, tearing down our police, allowing unfettered illegal alien invasions worldwide, driving people like Ted and Second absolutely crazy and poisoning the minds of our youth and using the Legacy Media as a cudgel to call anyone Nazis who didn't smile and go along with it for any sort of benevolent purposes in the end.

I think George Soros (and the like) were ultimately trying to destroy the Democratic Party and Liberalism worldwide, by making you cultists so

Trump Has Lost the Plot in Iran

Tehran hopes that he will declare a hollow victory and abort the mission.

By Karim Sadjadpour | March 4, 2026, 6:50 PM ET
Karim Sadjadpour is a senior fellow at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, where he focuses on Iran and U.S. foreign policy toward the Middle East.

Like many of his predecessors over the past five decades, Donald Trump risks having his presidency hijacked by Iran. The 1979 revolution and subsequent hostage crisis ended Jimmy Carter’s presidency. The Iran-Contra affair tainted Ronald Reagan’s. Iranian machinations in postwar Iraq sabotaged George W. Bush’s. The Iran nuclear deal—and the bitter partisan fight over it—consumed the second half of Barack Obama’s presidency. The October 7 attacks on Israel by Hamas, a member of Iran’s “Axis of Resistance,” triggered a brutal war that subsumed Joe Biden’s. Trump may have envisioned a second term spent striking deals to resolve wars, but Iran has now sucked him in, too.

What Trump seems to have hoped would be a Venezuela redux—a quick decapitation of the regime followed by a swift deal with the leader’s successor—has deteriorated into a regional war. Tehran telegraphed that this would happen, but it still apparently caught Trump by surprise. Now the United States is approaching a quagmire as news reports suggest that the CIA is arming Kurdish groups inside Iran.

In Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez—who concurrently oversaw the ministry of petroleum and the ministry of economy and finance while serving as vice president—maintained deep foreign connections, including a private back channel to the Trump administration even before President Nicolás Maduro’s capture. Her willingness to meet with CIA Director John Ratcliffe for a two-hour summit in Caracas underscored her authority to pivot the entire state apparatus toward a new energy partnership with the West.

The post-Khamenei landscape in Iran lacks any such singular, empowered interlocutor. The Islamic Republic’s parallel power structure, coupled with a 47-year ideology of resistance, has for decades created an enduring dilemma: Those who want to make amends with America cannot deliver, while those who may be able to deliver do not want to make amends. No one currently in Tehran has the will or the weight to break from the inherited stance of resistance and broker a deal à la Delcy Rodríguez.

Given the pace of Israeli political assassinations inside Iran, the architecture of power in the Islamic Republic is constantly changing. Mojtaba Khamenei, the 56-year-old son of the assassinated supreme leader, is now reportedly the top contender to replace his father. Within the regime’s hard-line circles—men who command little popular support but control every organ of repression—his stock has risen in the wake of the attacks that killed his father, mother, and wife. Although there are reports that he may have been wounded, Mojtaba is reportedly keen to take the reins of power. Backed by two particularly ruthless strongmen of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Hossein Taeb and Ahmad Vahidi, he would resume his father’s ruinous legacy.

Yet Mojtaba faces a crisis of both legitimacy and longevity. He lacks a public mandate, a recent Bloomberg report ties him to extensive overseas money laundering, and he would have to elude Israel’s continuous campaign of decapitation. His father ruled for 37 years—Mojtaba might not last 37 days.

In the meantime, sources inside Tehran suggest that the country is essentially being administered by two individuals: Ali Larijani and Mohammed Baqer Qalibaf. Larijani is managing political affairs and Qalibaf, a former IRGC commander, is managing military affairs. During normal times, these two men have a rivalrous relationship—both are former presidential candidates who aspire to lead the country—but during war, they have banded together.

Larijani sees himself as a pragmatic revolutionary insider in the style of China’

Sources Briefed On Iran War Say U.S. Has No Plans For What Comes Next

“The administration doesn’t have a clue. They do not have an actual, real rationale, endgame, or plan for the aftermath of this.”

By Nick Turse | March 5 2026, 4:43 p.m.

https://theintercept.com/2026/03/05/trump-iran-war-plan-cia/

The Trump administration’s war on Iran is reckless and ill-planned, four government officials briefed on the attacks told The Intercept.

Even in classified briefings, Trump administration officials laid out no clear vision for the U.S. war on Iran or its aftermath, the sources said.

“The administration doesn’t have a clue. They do not have an actual, real rationale, endgame, or plan for the aftermath of this,” one of the officials, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss classified matters, told The Intercept.

“There is no thought process into what any of this means long term,” said another. “It’s not coordinated regime change. It’s just ‘bomb them until they’re less of a threat.’”

Asked about the administration’s plan for Iran after the war, that official responded: “Whatever.”

Internal criticism of the attacks comes as President Donald Trump teased that the war could go on “forever” despite promising his administration would avoid Middle East “forever wars.” Trump has floated the idea of de facto American rule of Iran through a puppet regime, similar to the leaders who have run Venezuela since the U.S. attacked that country and kidnapped its president, Nicolás Maduro, in January. “What we did in Venezuela, I think, is the perfect scenario,” Trump said on Sunday. “Leaders can be picked.”

“I have to be involved in the appointment, like with Delcy [Rodríguez] in Venezuela,” Trump told Axios on Thursday.

Officials predicted that the war would have negative consequences for decades, echoing the results of the last U.S. ouster of an Iranian leader. One of the sources, who has experience in the Middle East and talked to The Intercept on the condition of anonymity, likened this conflict to the 2003 Iraq War, which was also illegal, ill-planned, and resulted in decades of regional instability.

Trump has repeatedly called for an Iranian uprising in the wake of the U.S. attacks. “The hour of your freedom is at hand,” he declared on Saturday. “When we are finished, take over your government. It will be yours to take.” But behind closed doors, the U.S. has made it clear that support for would-be Iranian revolutionaries isn’t certain — or even likely. In classified briefings, Secretary of State Marco Rubio has said the U.S. might intervene to support the Iranian people if an opportunity for ushering in democracy presented itself, but that the U.S. was primarily focused on a discrete set of tactical goals to degrade Iran’s military power, two of the government officials told The Intercept.

One of the sources briefed on the attacks evoked the 1953 coup in which the U.S. and British governments toppled Iranian Prime Minister Mohammad Mossadegh. The overthrow of Iran’s first and only democratically elected government ushered in more than two decades of dictatorship under U.S.-backed Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi and his dreaded secret police, SAVAK. “Trump’s history only goes back as far as the revolution. But 1979 started in 1953. And this [war] goes back to that [coup],” the source told The Intercept, referencing the 1979 Iranian revolution.

Trump has also referenced the 1979 revolution, but not the anti-American backlash that fed it. “You go back 37 years, really 47 years, close to 50, look at what’s happened and all the death,” Trump said to CNN, referencing those killed by Iran since the revolution.

The U.S. official scoffed at Trump’s one-sided history, noting this war’s roots stretch back to the CIA’s coup almost 75 years ago. “It could be decades before we know how badly this will affect us. But you can bet it will,” the official said, referencing the lag between the

Even the writers at Vox know that I'm right. And they hate to admit it because they love Muslim terrorists as much as they hate America and Americans.

VOX: Iran had a plan to fight Israel and the US. It all collapsed after October 7.

https://www.yahoo.com/news/articles/iran-had-plan-fight-israel-2300008
80.html

Quote:

This is not how it was supposed to go for Iran.

For years, the Islamic Republic worked to build up a network of allies throughout the Middle East, widely known as the “axis of resistance,” which, in the event Iran itself were attacked, could rain down destruction on Israel, the US military, and American allies in the region.

Key takeaways

- Iran’s “axis of resistance” has failed. Built as a deterrent force meant to overwhelm Israel and constrain US intervention, the network of regional allies that included Hezbollah, the Houthis, Iraqi militias, and Hamas has responded weakly to the US-Israeli strikes on Iran.

- The key turning point for the axis was Hamas’s October 7 attacks on Israel. While Iran may not have directly orchestrated Hamas’s attack, the war it triggered allowed Israel to systematically degrade Tehran’s allies.

- As a result, Iran is now more isolated and vulnerable than at any point in decades, giving Israel and the US greater freedom of action, as seen in the current war.

The axis includes Hezbollah fighters in Lebanon, Houthi rebels in Yemen, and militants in Iraq. At its peak, Iran relied on the network to promote its hardline brand of Shia Islam against rival powers associated with Sunni Islam, intimidate governments into submission, and scare off Western threats. Perhaps even more than its ballistic missiles stockpile, its nascent nuclear program, and its conventional military, these regional groups were Iran’s deterrent against exactly the sort of all-out attack we’re not seeing.

“The idea was never to be engaged in a war of attrition,” said Emile Hokayem, a senior fellow and expert on Middle Eastern armed groups and the International Institute for Strategic Studies in London. “Everyone would fire at once, so that Israel would be overwhelmed before the US was able to completely deploy its defenses.”

And yet, since the joint US-Israeli airstrikes against Iran began over the weekend, killing its supreme leader and devastating the regime’s military and infrastructure, the response from the axis of resistance has been fairly feeble.

The Iran-backed Lebanese militia Hezbollah, which in the past has boasted of the ability to destroy Tel Aviv, fired a “handful” of rockets into Israel, which prompted a much larger campaign of airstrikes by Israel in southern Lebanon and Beirut. Wary of being dragged into yet another war, the Lebanese government has taken the unprecedented step of banning military activities by the group. Yemen’s Houthis, who dramatically shut down most global shipping through the Red Sea two years ago, have been conspicuously quiet. Militants in Iraq claimed a drone attack on a US military base in Erbil, but the attack was intercepted without any casualties, and some groups seem to be staying quiet.

The impotent response is part of a larger story of the Iranian regime’s collapse from a fearsome military power to a weakened state fighting for its survival against an emboldened America and Israel. Rather than secure it from attack, its strategy of backing proxy forces in conflicts abroad played a critical part in dragging it into the existential crisis it faces now.

And while there are a number of factors that led to its unraveling, there’s one clear moment when it all started to go south: Hamas’s October 7, 2023, attack on Israel.

Pride before the fall

In the spring of 2018, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei had every reason to feel confident about Iran’s position in the Middle East. It was arguably the moment of greatest power and influence for the axis of resistance.

Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad’s forces had taken the last major rebel stronghold near Damascus — seemingly ending the threat to the Iran-back

Be Evil. Be a dick.

6ix, even if you knew who these people were, you wouldn't know who they were. I'll give you an example: Robert Guest. I can know how your tiny mind works because every Trumptard I know thinks exactly the same way, regardless of how unique/special/brilliant/wise they each feel themselves to be. Which is why they struggle in America. None of them has what it takes.

Donald Trump must stop soon - The Economist This Week

Robert Guest, Deputy editor

An Iranian dissident once showed up in my office in Washington. Ahmad Batebi had been arrested, aged 21, after a photo of him attending a mass protest in Iran appeared on the cover of The Economist. He told me how the regime tortured him in repulsive ways and made him listen to recordings of what he was told was his mother being tortured, too. After nine years of horror, he escaped to America.

The Economist has no illusions about the depravity of Iran’s theocracy. Nonetheless, we question the wisdom of America’s and Israel’s war on it. So far, “Operation Epic Fury” has been a stunning aerial success. Iran’s supreme leader was killed on day one. But President Donald Trump has offered no coherent plan for what happens next, nor even a clear set of war aims. Is he aiming for regime change? Or merely the neutering of Iran’s nuclear-weapons programme? Will the war last for days, weeks or months?

He may get lucky. Dictatorships often look impregnable just before they collapse. Maybe, just maybe, American air power will create an opportunity for Iranians to overthrow their hated rulers. But it seems more likely that one thuggish theocrat will be replaced by another. Meanwhile, Iran is hurling missiles at its neighbours and disrupting the world’s energy supply. Chaos is spreading across the Middle East; civil war could yet erupt in Iran. Our columnists look at how China sees the war, how Israel does, and how Europe’s muddled response hides a bright side. Our cover leader argues that Mr Trump should find a way to cut it short.

War? What war?

U.S. officials say Iran can barely defend itself as strikes delay selection of new supreme leader

Expanding Iran war dragging in previously skeptical European leaders

Quote:

President Trump and defense officials praised the U.S. war effort in Iran on Thursday, saying Operation Epic Fury had almost eliminated the Islamic republic’s ability to defend itself and launch retaliatory strikes.

Mr. Trump said joint strikes by U.S. and Israeli forces had eliminated most of Iran’s air force and missile defenses, and continued assaults were making communication on the ground impossible.

“The United States military, together with the wonderful Israeli partners, continues to totally demolish the enemy, far ahead of schedule and at levels that people have never seen before,” Mr. Trump said at the White House.

The president said the U.S. had sunk 24 of Iran’s naval vessels.

Speaking at U.S. Central Command headquarters in Florida, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Adm. Brad Cooper, head of CENTCOM, echoed the president’s comments. They added that retaliatory attacks by Iran’s drones and missiles had declined by more than 90% since the start of the war.

Adm. Cooper said U.S. bombers had struck more than 200 targets deep within Iran in three days.

Mr. Hegseth rejected growing concerns among lawmakers and analysts that U.S. strikes have put extreme pressure on American stockpiles of precision-guided munitions.

“Iran is hoping that we cannot sustain this, which is a really bad calculation,” Mr. Hegseth said. “We’ve got no shortage of munitions.”

Adm. Cooper and Mr. Hegseth had previously confirmed that the U.S. would soon switch to less-expensive munitions, though they said this was because air superiority had been achieved and less-sophisticated munitions could therefore be used with much less risk.

War powers bid fails

Congress failed to pass a war powers resolution that would have halted Mr. Trump’s actions in Iran.

The attempt in the House failed on a 212-219 vote one day after a similar measure died in the Senate.

The administration and congressional Republicans say Iran is an imminent threat, and the strikes Saturday were carried out as a way to stop the U.S. from getting hit harder if they had waited.

“We have seen Iran as an imminent threat against America, not just for the last four days, not just for the last four months or four years, but for the last 40 years,” said Rep. Brian Mast, Florida Republican and chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee.

Iran has rejected U.S. and Israeli assessments that it is losing the war and has only increased its hostile rhetoric over the past few days.

Iranian cleric Abdollah Javadi-Amoli told state-affiliated media Wednesday that Shiite Muslims require the blood of Israelis and Mr. Trump.

Eliminating Iran’s missile and drone production capacity has emerged as the primary justification for the U.S. war with Iran.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Mr. Hegseth said this week that Iran was developing a “conventional shield” to protect the uranium enrichment infrastructure that enabled its pursuit of nuclear weapons.

Undersecretary of Defense for Policy Elbridge Colby reaffirmed this position before the House Armed Services Committee on Thursday and once again reminded lawmakers that the Trump administration is not interested in nation-building or regime change in Iran.

The future U.S. role

Despite such claims, Mr. Trump said he should play a role in selecting a new leader for Iran.

He said Mojtaba Khamenei, the son of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and the apparent front-runner to replace him as Iran’s supreme leader, would be an unacceptable leader.

Intense U.S. and Israeli airstrikes may have seriously delayed Iran’s selection of a new supreme leader.

Iran’s Assembly of Experts, the 88-member body tasked with selecting a new supreme leader, has not revealed its choice nor the top contenders.

International analysts have predicted that, among other clerical leaders and former Iranian po

Imagine where Democrats are going to be standing before the next Presidential election in 2028 if we've got a working Middle East and Venezuela is in the middle of a renaissance and all 8 Million Venezuelan refugees currently camping out here finally go back home.

Once again, Trump has put the Democratic Party and the people who vote for them in the extremely unenviable position to root against America and Americans every day.

Not only that, but he's also put them in the extremely unenviable position of defending a broken status-quo that oversaw the managed decline of Venezuela, Iran, the entire Middle East, Europe and America.

And we're here to record all of it.

The Rot Is Real

We can already see some early signs of rot in US military and diplomatic capabilities, which have been highlighted by the decision to bomb Iran.

Here is a gift link to the piece. https://tinyurl.com/3js3eh7w

The standard push back was that mistakes are normal in war and that the US committing some of them at the start of the bombing means little. It is, of course, a point worth engaging with, though it completely avoids half the article, which is about the diplomatic rot that the US has brought upon itself.

That being said, what we are seeing in just the first few days of the US bombing of Iran is no normal fog of war. It is unprecedented, I would argue. We have seen arguably the worst friendly fire incident in modern US history, the worst articulations of war aims, the worst economic/industrial preparations for a war, and, tragically, what might very well be among the worst war crimes in US history. To have just one of these things at the start of the war would be a failure, but to have all of them…

Perhaps Iran Thought Trump Was Like His Predecessors

t-and-delivered-his-promise-to-eliminate-our-enemies

Quote:

Perhaps we forgot what it’s like when politicians act on their promises.

Perhaps our enemies forgot as well.

For decades, American presidents — Democratic and Republican — have said the theocratic dictatorship in Iran cannot have nuclear weapons.

For decades, those same administrations were strung along by the ayatollahs.

American negotiators — like their European counterparts — sat through years of negotiations.

And every time, the revolutionary government in Iran got closer to the bomb.

Well, not this time.

As Trump envoy Steve Witkoff described in an interview with Fox News this week, even during last month’s negotiations, the Iranians were playing their old games.

The Iranian team sat down opposite Witkoff and Jared Kushner and boasted about how much enriched uranium they had.

The Iranian team wanted America to know they had the capacity to make at least 11 nuclear bombs in a matter of days.

Perhaps the Iranians had become used to weak and ineffectual foreign governments.

Perhaps they thought this administration was like all its predecessors.

Perhaps they imagined this administration in Washington is like all those governments in Paris and London that said they were against crazed fanatics having nuclear weapons but never intended to do anything about it — apart from sitting around another conference table in Geneva.

Lessons learned

Well, now the regime in Iran has finally learned a lesson.

As a Post editorial this past weekend said, Trump’s critics used to like to try to taunt him with the acronym “TACO” (Trump Always Chickens Out). Now they and the ayatollahs in Iran have learned the meaning of another acronym: FAFO (Fuck Around, Find Out).

How long did the regime in Iran — and its apologists in the West — expect to get away with the same playbook of excuses and lies?

For decades they pretended that one of the world’s most oil-rich countries needed nuclear power only for civilian energy purposes.

They pretended that the regime wasn’t enriching uranium to weapons-grade levels.

Then, as late as recent weeks, they had the gall to tell their US counterparts that the regime did indeed have vast stores of uranium ready to make nuclear weapons — but that this was their right.

They had a choice.

But the ayatollahs decided to learn their lesson the hard way.

To date, the US-led attacks on the regime and its infrastructure have been outstandingly successful.

In the first strikes this past weekend, the ayatollah himself was taken out, along with much of his senior leadership.

In the days since then, more than 2,000 primary targets have been hit in Iran.

Of course, the remaining military and political leadership in Iran has tried to lash out.

But they have done so in the most self-destructive ways possible.

They have attacked American military bases.

And they have attacked almost every other country in the region.

Of course they have fired missiles at Israel — the “Little Satan” to America’s “Big Satan,” in the words of the late ayatollah.

But they have also fired rockets and drones at the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Bahrain, Jordan, Iraq, Azerbaijan and even Cyprus, a member of the European Union.

Many of these attacks have been anticipated.

Many of the missiles and drones that the flailing Iranian regime has been firing have been shot down.

To say that the radical terrorist regime in Iran is now weak and isolated is to vastly understate things.

‘Panicking’ regime

Kurdish fighters in Iraq and Iran appear to be preparing for a ground war against the regime in Tehran.

I have been with these groups in the past and they include some formidable fighters.

The remaining regime in Iran would be right to be panicking.

The mission of the government in Washington, DC, i

Iran’s regime won’t fall. It was built for this

Iran’s strategy isn’t to defeat the US militarily. Trita Parsi argues that it’s to make the cost high enough, fast enough, to collapse US domestic support before Iran loses. With MAGA turning against the war, oil markets destabilizing, and both parties alarmed by talk of ground troops, Trump urgently needs a face-saving exit. Plus, Parsi believes that Iran’s revolutionary system was built to withstand exactly this kind of pressure.

And as for MAGA turning against the "war" (this is NOT a war)... says who?

I just showed you that support for the action in Iran is almost exactly as high as both Trump's approval rating and favorability ratings on the aggregate.

Those 3 numbers are either a STUNNING coincidence with nearly the exact amount of Independents and Democrats making up the dip in MAGA support for the Iranian actions, or the proclamation that MAGA doesn't support it is a boldface lie.

Operational Excellence, Strategic Incompetence

The president is pointing to the American military’s excellence as though that somehow constitutes a strategy in itself.

By Tom Nichols | March 6, 2026, 9:04 PM ET

https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/2026/03/iran-strategy-victory-diseas

/

The war in Iran has reaffirmed two truths. One is that the United States is blessed with the most professional and effective military in the world. The men and women of the American armed forces can conduct missions of almost any size with formidable competence, from special operations to seize a rogue-state president to a large-scale war. The other truth is that the Trump administration, when it comes to strategy, is incompetent.

Strategy is about matching the instruments of national power—and especially military force—to the goals of national policy. The president and his team, however, have not enunciated an overarching goal for this war—or, more accurately, they have presented multiple goals and chosen among them almost randomly, depending on the day or the hour. This means that highly effective military operations are taking place in a strategic vacuum.

Worse, Donald Trump is now pointing to these missions as if the excellence with which they have been conducted somehow constitutes a strategy in itself. He appears so enthralled by the execution of these missions that he has enlarged the goals of this war to include the complete destruction of the Iranian regime, after which he will “Make Iran Great Again.”

This kind of thinking is an old problem, and it has a name: “victory disease,” meaning that victory in battle encourages leaders to seek out more battles, and then to believe that winning those battles means that they are winning the larger war or achieving some grand strategic aim—right up until the moment they realize that they have overreached and find themselves facing a military disaster or even total defeat. It is a condition that has afflicted many kinds of regimes over the course of history, one so common that my colleagues and I lectured military officers about it when I was a professor at the Naval War College. The issue is especially important for Americans, because when national leaders have exceptionally capable military forces at their disposal—as the United States does—they are even more likely to be seized by victory disease.

The Persian emperor Xerxes had it; that’s how he found himself eventually suffering a historic defeat in Greece at the Battle of Salamis. Napoleon had it; that’s how he ended up freezing in the Russian snow after years of brilliant victories over other European states. The French in 1870 had it; that’s how they confidently marched to catastrophes against a superior Prussian army. The Axis had it; that’s how Germany and Japan convinced themselves that their early successes meant that they could quickly defeat the Soviet Union and the United States, respectively.

The Americans caught the same bug in the Korean War, when they chased the North Koreans to the Yalu River, a drive that ended in disaster when Communist Chinese troops streamed across the border and joined the conflict. The U.S. fell prey to this syndrome again in Vietnam, when it poured men and material into the war for years yet remained unable to turn many battlefield triumphs into a strategic victory.

American policy in the Gulf War in 1991 is an honorable exception; George H. W. Bush avoided victory disease, calling an end to Operation Desert Storm rather than marching on Baghdad after achieving his stated aim of rescuing Kuwait. But his son, George W. Bush, chose to fight two wars at the same time. Once again, the men and women of the U.S. military managed to achieve remarkable operational successes, but it took years to stabilize Iraq, and Afghanistan today is back in the hands of the Taliban.

And now Trump seems to have contracted a whopping case of victory disease. He is clearly convinced that previous operations in Venezuela

Pahlavi Says Islamic Republic Is Crumbling, Asks Arab States To "Prepare To Recognize And Engage Our Transitional Government"

c_republic_will_fall_asks_arab_countries_to_prepare_to_recognize_and_engage_our_tranitional_government.html

Quote:

EZA PAHLAVI: The Islamic Republic has launched missiles at the UAE, Bahrain, Qatar,
Kuwait, Oman, Jordan, Iraq, and Saudi Arabia. It is targeting our Arab neighbors.

These violations of their sovereignty are unacceptable and we condemn them. But this is nothing
new.

This is who the Islamic Republic has always been. And this is why it must end.

For nearly five decades, this terrorist regime has sown chaos and bloodshed across our region.

It propped up Assad, turning Syria into a graveyard.

It planted Hezbollah; as a state within a state in Lebanon.

It armed the Houthis to destabilize the Arabian Peninsula.

It empowered militias in Iraq that undermine Iraqi sovereignty.

It attacked the economic hubs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

None of this has ever been the desire of the Iranian people, but rather that of the regime
occupying our country. Now, however, the landscape has fundamentally shifted.

Assad is gone. Hezbollah has been decimated. The regime’s military nuclear program has been
set back. Its economy is in freefall.

The pillars of this regime’s aggression are crumbling.

The Iranian people have paid the price, in blood, to reach this moment. The regime massacred
at least tens of thousands of my compatriots in just two days. But it didn’t break the people.
Instead, the regime itself is breaking.

Today, history reminds us of our future potential.

Before the revolution, Iran worked closely with Arab leaders — from King Faisal to Sheikh
Zayed to King Hussein to President Sadat.

In Oman, my father helped Sultan Qaboos defend his country against insurgency.

We were true partners then. We will be true partners again.

The Iranian people have called on me to lead the transition after the regime is gone. I have
accepted that responsibility. Part of their great mandate to me is to return our nation and
our foreign relations to normalcy. I will do exactly that.

My commitment is to ensure the transition is orderly, the country is stabilized, and Iranians
determine their future through the ballot box. We will not repeat the mistakes of past transitions.
We will avoid de-Baathification scenarios and maintain as many bureaucrats and public servants
in the transition as possible.

Iranians have made their choice — at an enormous price. Now I ask our friends in the Arab
world to join us. To prepare to recognize and engage our transitional government.

We will rebuild our nation not for expansion, but to serve the Iranian people. We will base
our diplomatic relations, not on exportation of ideology, but on mutual respect and shared
interests. We will reintegrate into the regional and global economy to increase prosperity
for the citizens of all of our nations.

Standing with the Iranian people is not charity. It is a strategic investment in making our
region one of the most stable, secure, and prosperous in the world.

Together, we can build a Middle East our children will be proud to inherit.

Take this new path with us.

So, what, exactly, is Trump's reason to attack Iran?

Nuclear weapons?
Ballistic missiles?
Protestors?
Regime change?
Democracy?
Make Iran great again?
Terrorism?
Women's right?
All of the above plus the kitchen sink?

Reminds me of the swirling reasons rationalizations gaslighting from GWB about Saddam.

Well I finally heard a reason that might make sense: World control of oil flow. Control the oil, control the world.
A last ditch effort at global domination.

Maybe he's one of them, maybe he isn't. Maybe he's with the NeoCons/NeoLibs, maybe he isn't.

Do you know anything about him? I've never heard of him or Sonar 21 before, but that doesn't mean anything.

My trust doesn't come easy, and when it comes to ex-alphabet agency employees it's going to be a lot harder to come by. With your average person able to use services like Grok to make AI videos that are getting increasingly harder to distinguish from reality, I have little doubt that our government is far beyond those capabilities and can probably make videos that people can't tell aren't real. Probably not only our government either.

So when I see sites like this, or any of the various ones that anybody posts in the Russia threads that claim to know about individual actions in the theater that nobody is hearing about in the Legacy Media, I'm going to be very skeptical of them.

This is why I keep telling everyone to stop getting hung up in all the day-to-day stories about everything. Why bother posting articles or videos about low-level court cases that you know full well are going to be appealed and seen by a higher court, and maybe one day SCOTUS itself? Especially when the article that was posted said this would be the case, but nobody bothered to read what was inside the headline... and if they did, most of them didn't bother reading more than one paragraph or three.

How many articles have you and Ted and Second posted about individual actions between Russia and Ukraine now for just over 4 years now? How many of them have mattered? Who cares who chips in what money, or which minor victory was won or lost, or who is saying they're pulling out of supporting either side when nothing ever happens in the big picture? It's like they've been playing tug-of-war for 4 years now and each side has always managed to gain back as many steps as the other side took away from them just a week or month prior. What's the point of even bothering with any of it?

Finalities are all that matter.

Things like SCOTUS decisions. Actual election results instead of weeks or months of posting individual polls that say what you want them to say and ignoring the aggregate of polls. What Venezuela looks like a few months from now. A year from now. The same with Iran. Maybe even Cuba and Greenland at some point.

I guess my point is that about 90% of the posts that are made here in the RWED don't matter at all in the long-term. And of those that even do, the people who posted them almost never bring them back up on the rare occasion that they actually amounted to something one day. The only people besides me who really does that here are JSF with his statistics/unemployment threads, and Jaynez, with at least 30% of his necroposting actually being relevant to the original thread he brought back from 12 years ago.

Just relax. Let's see what happens with Iran.

I'm not getting into any conversation with anybody about this being another forever war when we're only one week into it.

Let's talk in a month or two.

Personally, I don't think Iran is even going to be in the news cycle 2 months from now.

Trump: We'll Take An Hour Off From Iran And Finish Up Cuba

Posted By Tim Hains
On Date March 8, 2026

President Donald Trump told leaders from a dozen Latin American countries on Saturday morning at the "Shield of the Americas" summit that the U.S. is ready and willing to use military force to destroy drug cartels anywhere in the hemisphere: "We'll put a missile through the cartel boss's living room if you want."

He also said, after action in Venezuela earlier this year, strikes on drug cartels in Ecuador this week, and a war with Iran, Cuba will be the next target of U.S. action.

"As we achieve a historic transformation in Venezuela, we're also looking forward to the great change that will soon be coming to Cuba," Trump said. "Cuba's at the end of the line. They're very much at the end of the line. They have no money. They have no oil. They have a bad philosophy. They have a bad regime that's been bad for a long time."

"They are negotiating with Marco and myself and some others, and I would think a deal would be made very easily with Cuba," Trump said. "But Cuba's in its last moments of life as it was. It'll have a great new life, but it's in its last moments of life the way it is."

"But our focus right now is on Iran, and we’ll do that," he said. "I would say — what, will you take about two days off, Marco? No, he won’t. Maybe an hour. He’ll take one hour off, and then he’ll finish up a deal on Cuba. That’ll be an easy one. But it’ll be the entire region that we’re doing."

"Many of you have come today and said, I hope you can take care of Cuba, because you’ve had problems with Cuba, right? Four of you said, actually, Could you do us a favor? Take care of Cuba. I’ll take care of it, okay?" Trump said.

"As these situations in Venezuela and Cuba should make clear, under our new doctrine — and it is a doctrine — we will not allow hostile foreign influence to gain a foothold in this hemisphere," Trump said. "That includes the Panama Canal, which we talked about. We’re not going to allow it. And together we’ll protect our sovereignty, our security, and our cherished freedom and independence."

Yup.

DONALD TRUMP, PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES: Iran’s drone and missile capability is being utterly demolished. The navy is gone. It’s all lying at the bottom of the ocean. 46 ships, can you believe it?

In fact, I got a little upset with our people. I said, “What quality of ship?”

“Excellent, sir. Top of the line.”

I said, “Why didn’t we just capture the ships? We could have used them. Why did we sink them?”

He said, “It’s more fun to sink them.”

I said, “That’s—”

They like sinking them better. They say it’s safer to sink them. I guess it’s probably true. But think of it—we knocked out 46. It actually took three and a half days.

Their terrorist leaders are gone, or counting down the minutes until they will be gone. Think of it! They had leaders, and they’re gone. Then we had new leaders, and they’re gone.

And now nobody has any idea who the people are that are going to be the head of the country!

I agree. What a waste of good machinery.

Trump is Targeting Iran’s Fragile Water Infrastructure, Puts the Whole Region in Danger

By Nik Kowsar, Alireza Nader | March 9, 2026, 3:56 PM

https://foreignpolicy.com/2026/03/09/iran-water-drought-desalination/?
tpcc=recirc_latest062921

For decades, the world has viewed conflict in the Middle East through a familiar lens: the price of oil, the range of missiles, and the sterile language of deterrence. But the most dangerous threshold in the current war may lie elsewhere. The infrastructure that keeps civilians alive by providing water, power, and sanitation is now a target of American airpower.

On Saturday, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi accused the United States of striking a freshwater desalination plant on Qeshm Island, saying the attack disrupted water supplies to 30 villages. Major outlets have reported the accusation, though independent verification remains limited. Bahrain, in turn, has accused Iran of damaging a desalination plant in a drone attack, suggesting that water infrastructure may already be entering the cycle of retaliation.

The old cliche says that in the Middle East, oil is power. That may still be true for markets and states. But oil cannot hydrate a child, keep a hospital sanitary, or prevent disease when sewage systems fail. Water does that.

If water infrastructure is now considered a military target, whether deliberately or through reckless escalation, then the region is entering a far more dangerous phase of war. International humanitarian law gives special protection to drinking water installations and supplies as objects indispensable to civilian survival, meaning that striking desalination infrastructure would face an exceptionally high legal bar—one that would require it to be an extraordinarily valuable military target as well.

In practice, however, civilians do not experience a distinction between abstract legal terms like “collateral damage” and “deliberate targeting.” They experience the impact when the taps stop.

That risk is especially grave in the Persian Gulf, where desalination is not a backup system but the backbone of daily life. The International Energy Agency notes that desalinated water supplies most daily water needs in countries including Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, and Saudi Arabia. A World Bank report similarly notes that nearly 44 percent of global desalination capacity is concentrated in the Gulf Cooperation Council market.

That concentration has created a vulnerability of extraordinary scale. These plants are technically complex, dependent on specialized parts and skilled operators. They are also highly energy-intensive, which means that a strike on the grid, fuel supply, or associated logistics can shut down water service just as effectively as a direct hit on the plant itself. And because supply is centralized, a successful strike, sabotage operation, or cyberattack against a small number of facilities can produce a humanitarian crisis affecting millions.

Kaveh Madani, the director of the United Nations University Institute for Water, Environment, and Health, has warned that the reported strike on Qeshm should be understood as a regional alarm bell. As he points out, millions across the Middle East depend on desalination, and any damage to water infrastructure, intentional or accidental, creates a dangerous precedent. Once civilian water systems are exposed in war, the argument over motive starts to matter less than the result. People lose access to drinking water, and an already unstable region moves one step closer to a preventable humanitarian crisis.

This is why the reported strike on Qeshm, if confirmed, would set a dangerous precedent—a phrase that, in this context, is not

I don't buy into any of this narrative in the first place, Sigs.

And even if it is all absolutely true, that means the entire region surrounding Iran has allowed itself to become completely dependent upon Iran to sustain life and they deserve what they get if they really can't provide any water for their own people if Iran is hit. If they can't provide clean, drinkable water for themselves, that means that they have LITERALLY ENSLAVED THEMSELVES TO THE IRAN REGIME FOR DECADES.

Your link is broken.

Just like your asinine post.

No thanks.

I'm just going to continue to be right and tune out the noise.

You're just as bad as Ted and Second are.

Your opinion regarding politics or world events is unnecessary and needs no further consideration.
