Time for a new addition to the ongoing saga of Browncoat purdyness!
If you're so inclined, post a picture of yourself so we can all see who we talk to here

How to post images here: http://www.fireflyfans.net/thread.asp?b=5&t=29479
(Short version: Image must be hosted somewhere on the internet and all you need is the URL. Photobucket, imageshack, and flickr are your friends. See above-linked thread for further details, or click 'reply with quote' to see how others have done it.)
Also, PLEASE NOTE: the tutorial thread is an excellent resource and we don't want it to get overloaded and weighed down. Please test your image posts in one of the many 'test' threads scattered over the board, particularly out of the way in troll country, or start your own to help keep the tutorial nice and easy to load.

Most recent picture thread: http://www.fireflyfans.net/mthread.asp?b=11&t=30511

Index of all past picture threads and sub-picture threads: http://www.fireflyfans.net/mthread.asp?b=11&t=27728

My shiny new hat. How's it sit?

I said - "I know she tends to be mean but what can I say, I'm a giver"

Sorry you had to go through that, can't be fun.
Ok, to be fair I've never met the girl (he started dating her when he got back to Texas), but judging from the fact that when she's 'round when he calls me or I call him she grabs the phone and very nastily says "What the hell do you want?", not too fond of the girl. I can understand jealousy cause it's another girl he's talking to (Lord, not in a million yrs, he's like my lil bro), but comeon, do ya gotta be such a bitch??

Another pic cause the man needs a change! Magda, Rose, more to tempt you...

I reconnected with an old friend I thought I'd never speak to again. We've been talking via email for months and finally saw each other. It went well.

My dad pulled out his guns and let me photo-op with them

It was a good day. Until I got home and found a slightly worrisome/ominous message waiting for me. I have a feeling that this day isn't going to be nearly as happy...

Yep, you showed me that one! Powerful awesome, wasn't it? You should be on one of those when it's storming a big hill. It was mind-blowing the first time I did it, but for the couple of years that followed, I was like, Aaah - one more trip up the hill and one more safe return.

Speaking of which, though jet lag is indeed a matchless groaner, I'm mighty happified to hear you got home safely. Hope to see you in our orbit again some time.

This is an entirely unfair thing to say. First of all, the men on this board, even the ones that one doesn't see eye to eye with some of the kindest people one can know, second of all to state a "significant number" of them when you in fact mean a couple is not right.

I understand that feelings are hurt, but one shouldn't lash out at the innocent.

Zeph sweetie, if I had been an older lady and not being all faithful, I'm sure I would have. A man who understands me?? Hells yeah, sign me up! Except you're older than my dad. And you're so adorable and happy now! So hey, it all worked out and I'm so glad!
Non-Browncoat, though? Still? Stop distracting the poor woman so she can watch the show!

Philosophy major. I don't even get the "What's that good for" question. Mostly I get people saying, "Have fun at McDonald's" or some such.

Never mind that most people don't even work in the field that they got they're degree in. Sheesh.

But, whee! What fun to be here among friends!

yes, but theirs is a USEFUL degree they don't work in, while ours is a useless degree we don't work in. See the difference?

Actually, I just think they are jealous because we had actual fun getting our degree while learning useful skills such as research and the like, while they plodded through boring classes.

Exactly! I actually get to enjoy my classes (as opposed to scraping by for C's in classes that I can't stand).

The three rules REAL men must abide by when dating:

1. Only date a woman shaped like a woman. Real women have curves, not angles. Real women do not have the body of a 13 year old boy.

2. It's all about the shoes. (not in a freaky lick the toes way more of a 3.5 inch heel turns jeans and a tank into an ~ que foofy french accent ~ ensamble).

3. Do not date or play poker with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger anywhere on her body. She will end you.
