Throwing a parrot on the fire
Saturday, November 18, 2006

Hi there,

The title is from a newspaper article i read about a bloke from Thornley who went crazy, beat up a pub landlord, spilt whisky and threw a parrot on the fire. It amused me.

I was at Durham Cathedral today. 'Twas fun. I also volunteered to help out at the advent fair. That'll probably be boring 'cos they're opening the monk's dormitory. Spent quite a bit of the morning gutting Sites of Memory, Sites of Mourning so I can write a book review. Also have to finish my presentation for Tuesday.

I was at the Durham County Records Office on Thursday. I had no idea what I was looking for so I ended up looking up baptismal records of my family. I'm also at the hospital a week on Thursday for yet another outpatients appointment. You'd think after 7 years my ear would be better. But no.

Well that's all I have to say

Totally know how you feel, hobbleit. My ears have been buggered for years with tenitis (probably not what you have but...) and nothing really can help but patience and willpower:(

And it's funny...every time I see "Durham County," I immediately start thinking of a neighbouring county to where I am. But I assume your DC is nowhere near mine;)
