The epic snow saga continues
Thursday, February 8, 2007

This damned thing has more sequels than Star Trek.

Sheesh.

Hubby heard thunder last night. I only heard the wind.
We awoke to 3 more feet. I almost cried.
No sign of this stopping much before Monday.

The tractor won't start so we have to shovel. We have run out of places to put the white stuff. It is a good thing that snow has an excellent 'R' value because I can't get it all off the roof.

The town brought in a big orange highway plow to clear our access road (300 feet of not technically driveway). They got stuck (briefly) on the way out.

I must admit it was pretty cool watching them move all that fluffy stuff at one time.

We are now out of cheesecake.
Must make more.

I started a batch of home brew.

Called the family to let them know we're still alive and keeping warm.

Work has pretty much written me off for the week.

The Today show was about ten miles north of us filming this morning. How they got there remains a mystery since the major highway has been closed and reopened more times than Inara's robes.

My son is still cute any my husband is still a source of warmth. There, life looks better.

That, and it's too dark to see what outside looks like.

LOL at the Inara joke!

The funny thing is I've been wishing for snow all week. There's a good coating on the hills nearby, but none where we are. All we have is sleet and rain. I'd love some snow :(

Maybe the snowplough guys could send it over here? *has visions of tonnes of snow being dumped by planes on to her house*

Wow... you musta got all the snow that conspicuously didn't fall on L.I..... or, least aways, where I live... the wind is still the worst, and I get to wait at a bus stop for ten minutes in it. WOOT. Yay for me.
