There is nothing more....
Tuesday, July 13, 2004

I hate to sound like a real jerk, but I am so tired of "film." I am tired of the mentality that is often associated with its presence. I enjoy this business but I absolutely hate the ego. I know it exists in any workplace, including shrimping or whatever other random job I've had, but GOOD God I am just tired of having to live my life balancing others egos. I wonder if this is how it feels as a mainstream director. Are larger sets filled with more or less ego? Do people still complain about the living conditions, per diem, and workload, or do the 5 day weeks and 10-12 hour days (indies seem to work 16-20) and substantially better pay help to alleviate the whining. Does crafty complain about everything, or do you even see crafty? Do AD's yell?

Ramble on....

Anything to get her out of my head. I already have a broken heart and I am not even in love. I'm just waiting. Biding in my time.

I am gonna get hurt.

yeah thems the breaks when working any job. the problem is that, over all, the best and easiest way to do things/get other people motivated to do things is not. that. hard. managing people is not that hard. my boss has a ROUGH time with it, but thats because he sees himself as something different from them. once there is that ego, once there is that inflated sense of self... heaven help'em.
