Life On Mars

Hi there,

I don't usually do blogs about TV shows but last night the new series of life on Mars started and it is one of my favourite ever TV shows.

For those of you that haven't seen it, it's about a cop in 2006 who gets hit by a car and wakes up in 1973.

Last night's episode was absolutely fantastic. Sam met a man in the past who he would later arrest in the future and who was trying to kill him in the future. The scene where everyone was taking the piss and singing the fairy liquid tune was hilarious.

Gene Hunt may be the best TV cop ever created. He is just so funny. The lines he comes out with are some of the most hilarious things I have ever heard.

The music is also fantastic. They actually use good music from the '70s not just the glam and disco-y stuff. Last series thye actually had a Uriah Heep song. And also stuff by Free, Lindisfarne, Slade, The Who. Music that I love.

I'm just sad this is the last series.

Really want to see this series, cuz it sounds mighty entertaining. My problem is it's on a channel here in Canada I don't get less I am visiting the 'rents:(

And I need to see how things are properly done before the American version craps on the head of the original. The Office has been a fluke, I find, for UK TV made good here in NA :(
