Still...msg's idea sounds brilliant, if potentially a little unfeasible. Personally, I think you need a "you" room that combines whatever interests you got floating about. Though massive shelves for all the books and movies you got are a must;)

How about one character per room.... You know a Kaylee kitchen with cute bunnies and parasols etc, an Inara bathroom with oils and candles and a huge tub and deep plush red towels, a Jayne family area with guns, videos( of naked people of course), and violent toys, a Simon front room with nice furniture and very formal, a Mal dining room with sturdy functional furniture that keeps everyone together but has a nice big leadership chair at the head, a Book garden with herbs and fresh veg, and a Wash and Zoe bedroom with a nice big bed and couple stuff, and of course the River playroom with toy swords, scary unpredictable toys like the reaver in a box ( instead of jack in the box)

Advice: save the cat for last.
