Wow. So THAT'S what a good day is like.

S'funny how life can reach a point where you don't even remember what having a good day feels like. Your soul doesn't even recall what wanting to smile feels like. But today I had a good day. None of that "You're a racist because you're white and I'm black and I don't like you. So that makes you a racist. And don't you dare call me a racist for thinking that, because if you do, I'll call you a racist and I'll win because you're a white male from the South, and everyone knows that all the white guys in North Carolina are racists." crap I've had to deal with at work today. And I spent seven hours with an amazing and beautiful girl, and listening to her play guitar and sing, and spend time with her listening to other people play guitar and sing. And suddenly, my soul remembers what smiling is like. I remember what wanting to smile feels like. And it makes me want to smile. So I am.

PS. "Gee, it sounds like you love that girl." Why yes, yes I do. I am aware of that. I've loved her for a long, long time. Well, five years seems a long time when you're only 22. She's amazing and I love that girl. One of the best friend's I've ever had. But that's a rambling for another time.
