Whatever Oklahoma gets, we get down in Texas just a short time later. Yesterday I almost turned on my AC because it was in the upper 80s and humid. This morning it was 27° with high winds, and if it got above freezing today it wasn't by much. Right now it is 31°. Tomorrow looks to be more of the same with possible freezing rain tonight.

And I thought England was bad! There's an old joke about our weather - if you don't like it, wait a minute! Truer than you might imagine. Just don't get me started - it might be another joke that all we English talk about when we meet is the weather, but that's true too. Safer than politics, the church, what we watched on TV the night before ...

I feel your confusion, I think. Here, on the Gulf Coast of Texas we’ve had 2 major storms this summer and I woke up Thursday morning Dec 11 to find a blanket of snow on the ground…….what? My wife tried to get me up at 12am saying it was snowing…I just said “Yeah” and rolled over. When it does snow here it’s usually on the ground less than 30 minutes.

Anyhoo, this on top of a month ago the factory where I’m employed announced that they would be shutting down for 3 weeks due to economic issues. Yeah, it’s been a crazy year and to top it off the local network that ( channel 4) that airs 2 of my favorite tv shows ( Chuck and Life-NBC) has changed their affiliation to, get this…….f*><. I don’t know what to think. Seems like it’s nuts for everybody. Well least we have our health. Keep writing.
