Hi!

Thank you to everyone who has been posting in the BSR.

However over the past few weeks, there have been a lot of people posting multiple items per day. I'm sure most of you who have been doing this are relatively new to the community, so I'll explain.

Some time ago (maybe a year?) there were a lot of multiple postings of things in the BSR per day by one or two people, and it pushed the single posts of others off of the homepage so they received less hits than they normally would. It upset those people, so we made a rule (albeit unofficial) that no one should post more than two items per day. I'm not going to point fingers at anyone, and I don't mean to sound rude or upsetting. I'm just asking for a little common courtesy in this community.

Oops,I didn't know there was such a rule. I know I posted a ton of stuff a couple weeks back, so if that upset anyone, I apologize.

Excellent post! While I can empathize w/ getting impassioned w/ things related to the 'verse, it works out best for everyone if we do things in measured steps. Keep the goodness comin, just in smaller portions!!!

Well said! Seems to me like a turn-off when somebody posts like ten items at once and shoves one-shots off the front page before they can generate word of mouth. I didn't even know there was such a rule, but it's heartening to know about.

SLUMMING


I try to stick to the more conservative rule, which is one post per day. But due to the time zone difference between where I am and how the site is set up, occasionally two of my chapters show up in one day. I hate it when that happens! lol I figure nobody wants to read more than one chapter from me per day, and even that might be a little much on some days! :)
