Losing Someone You Love...Sucks
Wednesday, July 28, 2010

I know it's been a while since I last posted a blog entry (4 years!), but I needed to post something somewhere. I know some of you remember me from way back when, and I also know that this community is just made of awesome. I don't know why I'm posting this. I just need to.

My grandmother, Joan Rose Grosscup, passed away last night. It was sudden and unexpected. She was such a wonderful woman, and I'm going to miss her more than I even realize now. I guess I've been blessed so far. I'm 27, and to this date I've never had someone truly close to me die. This is going to be damn near impossible to get through, but I know I can.

Growing up sucks...

Losing someone is never easy, but when they're close to you? Even harder and so much more emptying...

It's sounds trite, but I know what it's like. I lost my mother in March 2009 quite suddenly from a stroke. Admittedly, she was in the hospital for reasons later determined to be related...but the sudden 1-2-3 of finding out she had a stroke, slipped into a comatose state, then watching her pass away still leaves me numb.

Browncoats? We're a disparate bunch of ruebens, n'er-do-wells and nerf herders (to steal from another fandom)...but we care. You got the entire group pulling for ya, SOS!

My condolences as well, to you and your family.

Aw, sad.

We probably haven't met before, but I'm still sorry for your loss.
