The blistering heat made Wash definitely long for the coldness of space. His fair skin was quickly burned to a bright and very painful pink. He had been urged to cover his skin, but his pride at not doing so did not get in the way of his whinging.

"Baby, they make that sun cream for a reason." Zoe looked only a little bit sorry for his condition. She was highly amused.

"Hrmph." He replied as he tried not to move his burned limbs too much.

"We can't all be as dark as Zoe." Mal said. He himself was getting rather red about the ears and nose.

"It's going to be swallowed up, you know." River stated. She wore a straw hat to prtect her face.

"What is?" Simon questioned. He was wearing a large straw hat as well, and looked rather more ridiculous than River.

"It's too close. The sun will eat it up. Terraformed for nothing."

"Well, sure it's hot, but I think this world'll be about for some time." Zoe said.

"No. It won't be long now." River insisted gently.
