Dunno...for all we know, MREs are better tasting than the protein the BDHs eat on Serenity;)

And while this is mucho coolio...I just get the feeling that Mal, Zoe and the rest of the Indepedent Armed Forces didn't have shiny boxes of rations to eat from. Probably the whole concept of "rag-tag army" making me thinking food was a little more barter-based;)
