Ballad of Serenity Wallpaper
Sunday, July 30, 2006

By popular demand (hehe), here's the Ballad of Serenity Wallpaper. It suffered a few little changes from the Banner, because of the differences in size and the empty spaces, not to mention I had to redo some of the layers again... I did my best and it ended up okay, I think. A 1024x768 version can be foun here: http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y255/Xeyra/Firefly%20and%20Serenity/balladserenitywallpaper.jpg. I hope you all enjoy.

So awesomely shiny, I could cry. I won't, of course, as I need my eyes to look at this beauty. :)

How cute! This is lovely. I especially like the use of butterflies and the font you chose.

Thanks, everyone. I wasn't quite sure what to do to fill in the empty spaces left, since I had to adapt this to wallpaper size and I couldn't just resize the original image, but given that I'd already used the butterflies for this theme, they were a way to add a little something to the wallpaper.

I saved the files this time, though, so I went back and took out the extra butterflies, for those of you who would rather do without them. LOL. :)

*calms Araglas down* There, there, you forgot your medication again, didn't you? Glad you liked, though. Just don't trip doing that dancing. It'd be unseemly...

For those interested in the fonts, the smaller one is called "Anke Calligraphic FG" and the other is one of my favorites, "Aquiline".

rivergil: Thanks. If I find a photoshop brush with fireflies, I'll definitely make a firefly version. But it's easier to find butterfly brushes.

Summer Glau: "Dreamer"
It's been a while since I've done any graphics but today I was inspired by this image, so I made this.

River Tam: Icon Collection
These are some of the River Tam icons I've made in the past months and have been posting in my livejournal. I thought I'd gather a few and show them here.

River Tam: Through My Eyes
Just a simple River Wallpaper. It's been a while since I've done larger Firefly graphics.

I have two other versions of this wall, one textless, one without the smaller image of River on the top left corner.

Firefly: The Complete Series (Crew Cover)
Made for a contest on Livejournal that asked for a cover for a Boxset of a TV show. Obviously I chose Firefly. I made two covers. This is the Crew version.

Firefly: The Complete Series (Mal Cover)
Made for a contest on Livejournal that asked for a cover for a Boxset of a TV show. Obviously I chose Firefly. I made two covers. This is the Mal version.

The Captain and the Companion
Because they have the most interesting UST ever. :)

Browncoats: Mal and Zoe
Made in Photoshop CS2. Our favorite Browncoats, the captain and the second-in-command, who share one of the most interesting friendships in the series.

Simon in Jaynestown
I love this scene. Simon's expression is priceless. So I just had to play with it in Photoshop. I have two other versions of this graphic in the latest post at my livejournal (xeyra.livejournal.com).

River Tam Triumphant
I took one of Serenity's River promo images and created a graphic I submitted for a header contest at LJ. I had fun with this one. Lots of textures went into making this. I was going for a grunge-ish feel. Hope I succeeded.

Can't Take the Sky
I am obsessed with this promo shot so I've made a hundred variations of it. Well, I'm exaggerating but it almost feels like it. Made in Photoshop CS2.
