I am Someone’s dreams flying I am Someone’s quest for peace undying I am Home to the lost and running I am A metal playground to the cunning I am A dragon when I dream I am More and less than I seem I am A refuge and a sorrow I am The hope and promise of tomorrow

a little teary.

I expected it to end "very unhappy" or something. Surprised me. Didn't notice the rhyme scheme at all until the last couplet set.

It's a good start.
