NEW FIREFLY/SERENITY LICENSE PLATE

My license plate was looking bad so I decided to get a Firefly/Serenity personalized plate. All the good ones like Firefly and Serenity were long taken so I decided to use one of the "made up" words that Browncoats love so much.

If you lived in NC it's only an extra $30 to get a personalized plate and the NCDMV web site has a cool simulator that instantly tells you if your choice has been taken and if not it shows you what the plate looks like.

Just wish my car was nice and shiny and new. It's a little bit like Serenity-a bit rusted in places and dinged a bit but it runs great and that's what counts.

Why are all the awesome Browncoats in NC? I mean, not that I won't appreciate you guys when it comes time for a Shindig at StellarCon, but you take all the good, ruttin' plates. Oh well, if you're driving down the road and somebody's honking at you and waving happily, that's probably me.

Serenity Nails-A place for Inara?
I went to Raleigh NC Saturday for a Bedlam Bards concert. Today I was looking for somewhere to eat before coming home and just had to take a picture of a nail salon next to our restaurant. Doesn't it look liek Inara's kind of place?


Terrifyin' Space Monkey
I originally posted this picture a few weeks ago. I had used my cell phone camera and it wasn't too good. I just got a new camera so I'm doing it over.

I saw some sock monkeys at the Blind Center craft show in early December. They were made by the visually impaired at the Center. All I could think of were Terrifyin' Space Monkeys.

I added a doll's t-shirt and my daughter did the lettering.


Terrifying Space Moneys
Saw these sock monkeys at a craft show before Christmas and all I could think of was "Terrifying Space Moneys'. My daughter added the T-shirt and the wording.

BTW the monkeys were made by the visually impaired at the Blind Center here in Washington, NC.


Working on a Zoe Costume-needs a lot of work before tomorrow
Well, this costume needs a lot of work. The hair doesn't fit. I gotta get it back to it's natural brown, no vest and no gun (I looked and looked at all types of stores but not a mare's leg Winchester to be found)but I do have a shiny necklace made by a fellow Browncoat (not naming names in case Uni is watching LOL).
