We have a shindig coming up in a couple of days, and I whipped up, as I always do, another fun commemorative poster for it. This month's theme is Simon/criminal mastermind, and I made this to represent a possible cortex feed that might have been intercepted and then later seen by River, who did the doodling!

Hilarious as all hell, TCM...but I think you boobed the DOB for Simon. April 16th, 2486 would make him and Mal about the same age...32 or so by the time of BDM. Pretty sure 2490 would be better, so he would only be 27-28 when River's 17-18 when the BDM is set;)

Call me nitpicky...but Simon was supposed to be a Doogie Howser kind of guy (though he didn't finsh med school at like age 14 or whatever) in that he entered and graudated MedAcad early and was well on his way to being a Big Cheese by 30;)

For anyone interested:
It actually says Ta, Simon. The 西蒙 Ximeng for "Simon" is common (Simon Cowell, Paul Simon). However, I think the helper wanted to be Chinesey and use a one-syllable surname. But then it should be 谭 Tan (Cantonese Taam), a common surname. Ignoring Simon's Chinesey-sounding surname, 西蒙·谭姆 Ximeng TanMU would be better (like 山姆 Shanmu for Sam Houston/Shepard).

The red 逃犯 taofan is "fugitive" like the English, not "outlaw." 医生 Yisheng for "doctor" is right.

Simon's from OsirIs. 欧塞勒斯 Ousailesi for "Osiris" is O.K., but perhaps 欧塞里斯 Ousailisi would be better.

Purty! One nitpicky little thing though. (This has no real purpose and is not meant as criticism so feel free to ignoe it but..)
Wasn't his last known location on Ariel? What with him being picket up by the feds and the Blue Hand guys being called, I think they knew he was there.

Anyway, awesome shiny! Great pic and great concept!

Captain Castle
A fellow Browncoat, goes by Watcho, was telling me how her sister was now watching Firefly because of Nathan Fillion in Castle. She retorted with "He was my Captain before he was your Castle", and lo, a new design was born in that moment. Apples to Griswolds
Been out of the (game making) world a while, but I got a request late last year from a very dear friend, so I am making it a reality for them...and you! This is just the teaser. And there will be at least be at one rule in my version there isn't in the original Apples to Apples game. All I'll say is there'll be a little...*pop* ;)

Also, at the behest of fans, both past and current, I'm only doing this up in grayscale in order to go easy on printing because there'll be A LOT of cards, and I don't want to eat up folks' printer ink.
