The Alliance is growing even more paranoid of resistance, the media is heated with discussion, and people are starting a new viva lá resistance. And our main characters are still doing their own thing.

Mal has regained some of his lost idealism, while still being the jerk that we know and love.

Zoe is mourning the loss of her husband while becoming more emotionally isolated.

Jayne -- he is Jayne.

Kaylee and Simon's relationship is ever blossoming, all the while River is becoming more skilled with her telepathy.

And Inara is hiding a painful secret from the crew.

I want to make this series as close as possible to what Whedon and co. would've done if a continuation would've happened, while still making my own stories and drawing inspiration from the graphic novels.

The main antagonists of this series are a group of individuals, who're an offshoot of the Browncoats/Independents. They're pretty much an allegory for real life groups such as ISIS.

The purpose of this story is to tear the main characters apart, so I can see what makes them tick in the first place.
