Cool! I just noticed, isn't the background the place they filmed Blade Runner? I've seen it in a few other films too.

There`s another version of this - they look very similar but Book is facing in a different direction. Wasn`t one of these images used in TV Guide before the series came out to promote it?

Thanks so much for posting this image. I hadn't seen this version before, and it's such a treat to see a "new" Firefly picture!

The backdrop does look like the Ennis-Brown House, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, which has been used for many films... including Rocketeer, and the exterior of Angel's mansion during Buffy the Vampire Slayer's seasons 2 and 3.

11th Hour

I just gotta say this but look at the Cr*ppy make-up job! This is one make-up artist who lost her job quick. Mal/Nathan looks like he's spent way too much time in the sun, Or maybe just had the worst spray on tan *ever*. Eeek on the eye liner on Zoe/Gina and I am so not going there with what she did to River/Summer. Compared to a lot of the other promo stills this they just look entirely unnatural.

Interesting that Jewel is seated front and center next to Nathan. Normally you see our Kaylee in the back or off to the side.

And as a Simon fan, it's nice to see Sean getting billing over Adam. Usually he's tucked away in the last row. Summer got rather shafted in this version, though.
