My first Jayne hat. It's going to another Browncoat, so I'll have to make another for myself.

Very nice. That turned out better than my first try Jayne hat. Now I'm on #5 or 6.

marvy! mine's sitting right in front of me. i used 10 needles though, so my gauge must have been mad different than yours. truly beautiful and mighty shiny!
just a note. did you pick up the seams inside for the earflaps or use a tapestry needle? i used http://dryope.typepad.com/superfly/jayne_cobb_hat/ 's method and it looked great for me.

Thankee kindly, everyone. I looked at a few patterns prior to making the hat, and didn't realise until I already had the yarn that I should've bought bulky weight instead of worsted. D'oh! So I made do with what I had, as Ma Cobb would. I used the Superfly pattern and the other one on Craftster as guides, and adjusted for worsted weight yarn and US8 needles. (Cast on 96 stitches and went from there -- it's kind of roomy). I picked up the stitches from the inside of the hat for both earflaps and it seems to look a little different from the others I've seen. I used Knit Picks Wool of the Andes in Daffodil, Cranberry, and Carrot.
