The T-Shirt No One Will Print for Me ~_~
Wednesday, September 21, 2005

I started thinking about what I want to wear to the midnight premier, and this t-shirt design occured to me. I purchased the rights on the original stock tombstone photo, then replaced the text with my own message in photoshop. Even though my use of the Fox logo is protected speech under the first amendment, I can't find a CafePress type shop to produce it in reality. If anyone wants the higher-res art so they can make their own iron-on versions of it, feel free to email me. There's no charge at all - I'd just like for people to be able to express how they feel about this network's programming choices.

It was brought back. I left it in the list, though, as a reminder of how bone-headed it was for them to cancel it in the first place. Kinda like the way Firefly has risen again. ^_^

LOVE the shirt!

'course there are FAR too many to list them all on the shirt, but you forgot 2 of my fav's
first and foremost: Greg The Bunny.
(Seth Green, Eugene Levy, Sara Silverman, and smart ass puppets? this show was beyond Grand!)

2) Normal, Ohio

I had an enormous list to choose from, and truthfully, Greg the Bunny was one of the very last to be cut. I finally decided to remove it and Undeclared because even though I'd heard they were great shows, I'd never gotten a chance to see them. I didn't want the awkward moment of having a Greg the Bunny fan try to reminisce with me....and having to admit I was so woefully ignorant. ~_~

Below is the lsit I started with, if anyone's interested. I didn't get Normal, Ohio (probably because I've never heard of it - a common occurance, considering FOX's marketing prowess).

Alien Nation - May, 1990
Swamp Thing - May, 1993
The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr. - May, 1994
VR.5 - May, 1995
Strange Luck - February, 1996
Kindred the Embraced - May, 1996
Space: Above & Beyond - June, 1996
The Tick (Animated) - November, 1996
Sliders - May, 1997
The Visitor - January, 1998
Brimstone - February, 1999
Millennium - May, 1999
Harsh Realm - May, 2000
FreakyLinks - June, 2001
Lone Gunmen - June, 2001
The Tick (Live Action) - January, 2002
Family Guy - February, 2002
Undeclared - March, 2002
Dark Angel - May, 2002
Greg the Bunny - August, 2002
Firefly - December, 2002
John Doe - April, 2003
Futurama - August, 2003
Wonderfalls - March, 2004
Tru Calling - April, 2005
The Inside - July, 2005

Shojoholic, you should sell this shirt on Cafepress.com, I'll buy it! I broke my pinkie finger for "Tru Calling"! Does anyone remember "Reboot", now that was a great show! At least no one put "Fastlane" up! by far the only Fox show worth cancelling! Also, I wasn't really a BIG fan of "John Doe".

When I saw how many people liked the sentiment on the shirt, I looked into the possibility of making a non-copyright infringing version (with an alotered FOX logo) that a printer would be willing to produce. Unfortunately, after long discussion with the company I bought the stock image from, it turns out that I didn't alter the photo enough for it to be considered a derivative work (and thus eligible for resale). Sorry! If people are intersted, I can do a version on a line-art tombstone. I'd even be willing to take requests for the shows mentioned.

Because Fox finds a way to piss me off every year....

Revised DVD Cover
Someone on the official board was nice enough to point me in the direction of a Simon image, so I've revised the cover a bit to fit him in. Also added a lot of the things a real DVD cover would have.

Serenity DVD Cover
I had decided to buy Serenity on DVD for a few people this Christmas (whether it would be out in time or not). In case it wasn't going to be released in time, I designed a DVD cover insert so I could wrap an IOU mockup so the recipients would have something to wrap. Since it will be available in time, there's no reason for me not to post it as fan art!

Session 416 Wallpaper
My apologies if the "viral advertising" clips are considered spoilers....I've been assured that they aren't in the movie, and don't contain real spoilers. Still...be warned, I guess. ^_^
