Serenity in Battlestar Galactica?
Monday, November 7, 2005

This is a pic of an ep of BSG, but if you look closer at the ship in the air, it looks so much like a Firefly class. The reason....many of the effects crew that works on BSG also worked on Firefly. What an homage!

Yeah... this was mentioned a while back. Its in the the BSG Miniseries. This shot is in the beginning of the scene where Roslin is talking to a doctor.

I've been a fan of Zoic Studio's work since Firefly and I was surprised at some of the other things they've done. They've done CG work not only for Buffy and Angle, but also the CSI series, Tru Calling, BSG, the new Twilight Zone and much more.

Check out their website at http://www.zoicstudios.com/

I also thought it was nice that they put a full page ad in Cinefex magazine thanking Joss Whedon and the cast and crew for allowing them to work on Serenity. The people who work at Zoic seem to have a real love and passion for Firefly, and it shows in their work.

Cinefex is a magazine that has articles about special effects in movies. Each issue (i think its quartly) features between 3 to 5 movies and have huge articles on how the effects we're created for each movie. Cinefex's website is http://www.cinefex.com. I've seen this magazine at Barnes and Noble or Borders. Its more like a book then a magazine. The thank you ad Zoic Studio put is beautiful and has a stunning show of Serenity.

A slogan that needs to be seen
I was watching Shindig recently and this was said after those snobs insulted Kaylee at the party. I thought the phrase could be used as banner. I don't have anything more sophisticated than MS Paint, so excuse the simple quality. The phrase says it all anyway.
