This is just a short blurb of a poem that I wrote after I saw Heart of Gold for the first time. It's supposed to describe how the crew feel about Serenity but it also works as a tribute to the whole show as well. Please read and reply, thanks!

Liberty in Tranquility

As we slip into the darkness with such grace I quietly sigh, when I feel the starlight touch my face. This ship, she sings As she lifts us up on her mighty wings. Like a guardian angel in flight She will forever protect us with her might. Many believe that true freedom is impossible to find But they have not before flown on wings of this kind. When the world falls apart at the seams It’s impossible to look at her and still not believe in dreams. She’s a harbor from the storm, A place to lay down arms and keep warm. I cannot see where our road may wend All I know is that I will stay here till the end. Here our family will always be whole And from our love, Serenity gained a soul.

This is so very beautiful. Actually, it deserves a comment much better than just "beautiful". To praise a poem like this, you need a poet. :)

Since I am not such a person, instead, take my single ray of sunshine, imagine it slingshot around the sun a couple of million times to gain in strength, then have it hit you, full force, in all its warmth; then I hope you will understand my full meaning when I say: shiny! :)

Hey Drace, what gives? :) I was supposed to make YOU feel better; and, instead, I am the richer for your words to ME. :) It's not supposed to work that way; or is it? Pray-tell, what strange universe is this where people don't just take, but give? Why, it ain't the universe at all; it's the 'verse! :)

And ours is a peaceful 'verse, and we live in harmony. Yep; this land is, well, This Land. :) Never mind my ramblings, though. I'm just glad you're on the crew. :)
