is this a bit better? I tryed to capture the color of the walls in the dining room, and kaylee's painting too. I tryed to fix the picture placement to look better aswell.

Much improved! Now, CWR89... As a fellow BC who wants you to strive for even better, here's another suggestion. Change the font to something less Germanic/gothis.. Something fatter, easier to read. (The font used for Serenity lettering would look shiny.) Leave the color of Wash's quote blue, cuz it goes good against the nice bg color [an iomprovement btw over the previous]. But change the color of Kaylee's quote to, say, spring green --- the reddish color now gets lost against the bg flowers. Other than that, I like it.

tis shiny, i likes it. point of interest, if you are gonna change it at all, i think kaylees line is "wash, tell me i'm pretty"
