WELCOME TO THE BLUE SUN ROOM

It was strange how much calmer River became the nearer to danger they were drawn. The Captain had noticed fairly early on how any perceived threat both frightened and grounded her. How could a fragmenting psyche be so much stronger than a whole one? When had the edge of madness been the cure not the malady?

NEW FAN FICTIONS

Terror Forming: Epilogue by NEEDY
The underground tomb on Boros has claimed its victims. Now there's just a matter of the clean-up... (The end, for now)
Terror Forming (Part 3) by NEEDY
Previously: After a series of terraforming issues on Boros, a team is sent in to an underground cavern to try and solve the problem. When they fail to report in, another team follows led by "cleaner" Winston Beaumont. Discovering what looks like an ancient temple, the group eventually locate Francis Kincaid, seemingly the only survivor of the first team. But things aren't as they seem. (Part 3 of 3, plus an Epilogue)
Terror Forming (Part 2) by NEEDY
Previously: Francis Kincaid works as a fixer, repairing machines related to the terraforming process. After a job goes wrong on Boros, Kincaid finds himself injured and alone in an ancient underground temple. The longer he stays there, however, the more he realises that the team may have awoken something ancient. (Part 2 of 3, plus an Epilogue)
Terror Forming (Part 1) by NEEDY
Set in the verse, many years before the events of the series. This doesn’t feature any characters from the show, but rather fleshes out one of the aspects not really focused on in the series – the terraforming process of the newly discovered worlds. For those familiar with the Special Branch fic/threads from many years ago, this serves as a prequel of sorts to that story. Speaking of which, I’m planning on posting some more of that story in the new year, commemorating 20 years of Serenity. (It also might be a bit rough. This was a writing exercise for myself to try and get back into the process.) Part 1 of 3 (plus an Epilogue)
Tales From the Nordic Troll #10: Rule 303 (Part 3) by MIKEBROOME
He had no idea how much time had passed before the darkness behind his eyes grew light again and everything slowly came into focus. Turning his head painfully to one side he focused on Reilly, who said groggily “Found ‘em”.
Tales From the Nordic Troll #10: Rule 303 (Part 2) by MIKEBROOME
Reilly positioned himself in his saddle. “Oh, I have every faith that whenever you initiate a plan, the ‘verse goes off sideways”, he remarked as he fell in beside Gerrin and they started toward town.

At the ladder from the cockpit she turned back. “But you know that what you plan and what happens don’t always match up”. “We’re still flying”, Gerrin answered, then added “That’s what counts”.
The Signal - Pt.4 by Brenda
"What in tarnation is chasing you Wash?" asked Kaylee from the counter. "I'm with Kaylee," Mal said. "You look like the hounds of hell were after you." He had come into the galley after Wash. "Nothing's chasing me..." Wash started. "What's up then?" Jayne asked from the breakfast table where he was cleaning his knives. "The signal's back," Wash said.
