Lets see. Oh yes we were discussing migration of birds.

My mother lived near a pond in Milwaukee and some geese would stay the winter. Needless to say they were noisy and their size made for some large droping. My mother was not to happy about this. The call of a goose is horrible. The dropping required a careful eye when walking outside.

Sparrows are no problem at all. Their little chirp and dropping that you would need a magnifing glass to find make no trouble.

Yes. Once you have heard a goose you will never forget that horrible sound. I think what made my mother angry is the fact they would wake her up in the morning. They are also hate by the farmers for eating their corn crop. So hunters are welcome to use their land to chase the vermin away.

I have never been attacked by a goose, but they are big. Probably could do some serious damage. I have heard of children being attacked by swans. People forget they are wild creatures that feel threatened when approached. If they have a nest they will not just fly away, but try to protect it.

the bigger ducks, the big white ones with the long goosish necks (unless those are a different kind of goose, idk) are violent too. i was trying to feed one at the pond by the orchard the next town over from mine, and the fucker started *hissing* at me and charging me. i was like 'fine, eff it i'll feed the smaller wood ducks over here.' :P and it wasnt even like there was a nest nearby that they were protecting. weirdos @_@

noooooooo theyre definitely not swans. they were way too bulky and awkward to be swans. thick necks, weird awkward beaks, didnt have the black eyeshadow/raccoon look on the eyes like swans do. im thinkin they were geese :\ pilgrim geese maybe? (looked it up) theyre big and white and awkward looking XD probably what they were. but yeah. they were meeeeeeeeean

Well now I have heard everything. I have studied military history and have my share of books on World War II and this is the first I have heard this word used about tanks. The reason tanks wandered was to make them a difficult target.

So besides avoiding sporks we are now digging fox holes to hide from tanks.

Are biggest problem was, I liked to watch the afternoon movie after school and my sister, being five years older, prefered American Bandstand. So we clashed on this issue for years. I mean how could she stand between me and the Mysterians or Godzilla.

American Bandstand was funny. They would get a couple of the teenagers who dance while the music was playing to give a song a rating. They would say it was good to dance to or had a good beat. Like they knew what they were talking about. The bottom line was; did the like it.

I have never been very serious about music, although I could listen to Nate King Cole or Billy Holly & the Crickets forever. It may be because I had to listen to those early Bandstand shows that I prefer fifties and sixities rock over any other.

It was aimed at 12 to 16 years old. And lame is correct. But popular. It was on for years. I think Dick Clark was the only host for their whole life span. They would get a popular rock band to appear and play one song. It was about the only way to see the band that you listened to on the radio. Heavily hairsprayed beehive hairdos for the gals and over greased hair for the guys. Chubby Checker introducing the twist.
