okay, i have to admit, i kind of ignore gunn most of the time because he never had many significant story arcs where he was the central figure. of course, his relationship with fred, but that contained fred, gunn and wes, so it spreads out the emphasis. i will say, however, that gunn can be pretty darn funny sometimes. yesterday's angel rerun was when the crew goes to the ballet. some great gunn lines:

this is tutus, and guys with their big-ass packages jumping up and down. this is just... i will never trust you again. the trust is gone.

and of course, my favorite that made me laugh out loud:

don't be usin' my own phrases when we lost the trust

funny stuff. anyway, just had to share.

GROUNDED

Waiting In The Wings is awesome. Good deleted scene on the dvd too. The Wesley 'sword dragging' bit after seeing Gunn/Fred is classic.

The thing I loved about Gunn is that, in season 2, he was a better detective than Wes, Angel, and Cordelia combined.

EMBERS

I loved Gunn's transformation in S5,
he really handled the change beautifully,
playing both the old Gunn and the new with subtlety and layers.
I wish he had managed to sing more
(he has such a beautiful voice)
I was glad that S5 made Gunn a lot more central to the story line
by being an important lawyer
by accidently being responsible for Fred's death

he is a wonderful actor
