here are some of my random thoughts and random questions about angel. i would love to hear some opnions!

1. a vampire turns to dust when he/she is staked through the heart with a wooden object. would puppet angel turn into lint?

2. how does harmony know angel's plan in the finale to tell hamilton? does she just tell hamilton that she thinks something is up or does she actually know some details? she makes a big deal about being left out.

3. does anyone else wish they could have seen illyria destroy that car in the finale?

4. did angel purposefully not tell spike that he signed away his chance to become human?

5. on that same topic, does the shanshu prophecy imply that the role played by the vampire with a soul is for the side of good? in the finale, vail describes it as a "reward". my assumption is that an evil vampire, even one with a soul, would not want to be human. conversely, earlier in the series, i vaguely remember there being some confusion as to whether this role would be for good or bad. of course, we could also assume that any vampire with a soul would be on the side of good.

6. still on the same topic, how does someone play a pivotal role in the apocalypse if the apocalypse is already going on and is more of a long event rather than a single epic battle?

1. NOTHING can stop puppet Angel.

2. She's ditzy, sure, but she's sneaky. I figure it's the one time she figured out the landscape for herself without help from anyone, and decided it was her chance to make a difference - even if it was for the wrong side.

3. No. Not seeing it was more effective. And funnier.

4. Angel very rarely discussed the Shanshu without someone else making a big deal about it. It seemed to me like it was just sort of mentioned in passing in the finale. Plus, the prophecy wasn't important to Angel anymore, anyway.

5. The way it's written and performed makes it seem like the Shanshu vampire will fight on the side of good, but it's not expressed fully. Just assumed.

6. Angel was involved either directly or indirectly in just about every event that led to the apocalyptic battle in the finale. Many people were involved, but Angel was a central figure throughout.

In my opinion, anyway. Epiphany was on locally yesterday - I'm trying to decide how I feel about Angel entering Kate's apartment without an invite. Kate mentioned her newfound faith as an explanation - I caught myself thinking, "She must have been dead for the moment surrounding Angel's arrival." I like the faith idea, though.

Say ... would you like a chocolate covered pretzel? They're a bit melty, but DAMN are they delicious!

I thought that was brilliant, cause at the time it hadn't occured to me that he'd got in without the invite. They never really returned to it though, presumably since that was Kate's last ep.
