8:00 p.m PT and I assume ET, right before "House"!

I missed the first couple episodes of the The Inside which I why I made the "PSA" for Bones. I liked some of The Inside and was waiting for more. Your reference made me check tvtome.com. It seems that this show is dead. Is that right?

Anyway, the ads have David Boreanz making jokes. I interested in seeing him in a less dour role than Angel and I am interested in seeing what dramatic range he has. Can he play many characters like Alec Guiness or can he only play one character?

I enjoyed it. Yes I admit what kept me watching was David B. I like the whole we're Mulder & Scully thing. I have grown tired of CSI-esque drama. This looks like it may have some good character stuff. and I kept saying "this chick looks so freaking familiar" Then remembered I'm reading Hitchiker's Guide. The last name is the same but I'm thinking "that can't be her". Lo and be hold ala IMDB it's her sister. Now it all makes sense. So I'm liking the two main characters, the story & plot is kinda secondary right now.

No offfence I love Adam & Tim but the Inside went to dark, to edgy, to fast. I'm not one for SVU style drama.

However, the characters or perhaps the actors in this have got my interest enoughto tune in next week. We'll see where it goes.

p.s. Sorry this is off topic, but it is tv-related: Did anyone notice that Marti Noxon is a consulting producer for Prison Break?

I liked the show. I can see getting hooked in, once you suspend belief on some things.

At any rate, the best part of the night was seeing the Serenity trailer for the first time on TV last night! ON F*X!! I giggled at the thought.

I almost turned it over after the first 5 seconds. Remember the opening scene with the jet landing at Dulles International Airport with the U.S. Capitol Building prominently in the background?

Well, the last time I was in DC, Dulles was located about 25 miles out of town. I can't conceive of any location that would give you this view, even with a super duper telescope or whatever. DC people please correct me if I wrong.

I know this is a nit but it was jarring and took me out of the show for a while. It did get better after that. David B. is a good straight man and the jokes were funny. I'll watch it again.

I liked it too. It was not perfect but there is a lot of potential. I like the lead and D.B. was very good. I'll be watching.

Declan is absolutely right. Dulles is actually located in Virginia, about 15 miles from the Capitol. Ronald Reagan ( AKA National Airport ) is the closest airport to the Capitol...but you absolutely can't see the Mall from the airport. It's also in Virginia, but next to Crystal City.

Even before 9/11, no planes were allowed near DC. Can you imagine a plane that close today? No Way.

Errors of continuity and downright silliness irk me...but the show could have some legs. Kathy Reich's "Temperance Brennan" books are actually very good, and they did a good job capturing the main character.

I'm just worried I'll get sucked in and BAM! -Another show on Fox that gets cancelled.

HELL'S KITTEN

I tried watching it, I really did. I wanted to like it... but... I had to turn it off and watch something else after about half an hour. To me, there was nothing unique or engaging about this first episode (Profiler, CSI, The Inside, etc., etc., etc... it's all been done). And most of the "far out" or "silly" stuff was too irksome to ignore.

(Not to mention the wacky thought constantly in my head: Why isn't he bursting into flame?!?)

I think my trouble is the fact that I always compare new shows to Whedon shows. Most don't compare well.

I recorded it for a friend, though, so I may try watching it again. And maybe I'll try watching the next episode, cuz I really don't believe in first impressions. (Although, my first impression of hate for "Point Pleasant" didn't change, and that actually had Whedon folk working on it....)
