Proof what is old is new again.

The pilot, set up at Warner Bros. TV, focuses on a vampire who works as a private eye and has a love jones for a mortal woman.

Yes, we liked the show quite a bit when it was called "Angel."

I am sitting here reliving the pain of finding out that ANGEL was cancelled, after months and months of hearing that there was no way they WEREN'T getting a sixth season. I was sitting at the computer, just NUMB...and then came the tears, which soon became uncontrollable. Then came anger, which exploded into full-blown rage. Then there were tears again and more numbness.

I'm pretty sure that's not going away...EVER.

And now this?

I'm feeling a weird mix of "HOW DARE YOU?!" and "THANK YOU." It makes no sense.

Gee, it's too bad the money from the lawsuit will go to the studio. If it'd gone directly to Joss, you could probably start planning for "Serenity 2" right now...

You beat me to it. Always did like Forever Night, even if it could be pretty high on the cheese scale occasionally.

Again, not really caring too much about the right or wrongs (if there are any) of the issue, though I don't mind if others bitch about it on my post. My one and only point in posting was wanting to find out if any one else was as freaked out as I was about it, after what had happened to ANGEL. It was an emotional reaction, pure and simple. I have no problem at all with the idea of someone creating a show with that premise, or BUFFY'S premise, for that matter...whether that show turns out to be good or bad. Even as I say that I don't have a problem with it, I still do feel it's like a second blow, anyway.

As for FOREVER KNIGHT, I barely remember watching about 2 or 3 episodes of it a long time ago. I was always into horror, and vampires in particular, but I just couldn't get into it. I don't remember much more than being bored by the leads (whomever they were, don't recall) and the show in general.

TWILIGHT, should it get picked up, may give me the same reaction, or it may make me forget all about ANGEL altogether. Not bloody likely, but it could happen. Hey, doesn't James Marsters need a steady gig about now?

Spike: I must be a noble vampire. A good guy. On a mission of redemption. I help the hopeless. I'm a vampire with a soul.

Buffy: A vampire with a soul? Oh my god, how lame is that?
