Just caught this bit about Tribune being interested in Angel... here's hoping they can change the WB's collective mind...

While UPN may be out of the picture, Tribune Broadcasting Company (to whom we've been sending cards for the past few days) have actually solicited fans to protest via postcards, as they feel ANGEL is a valuable show with a strong fan base.

Any reputable help outside the fan base makes a strong case for saving Angel. Thank you for posting this info.

Likes to mess with stuffs.

While I can understand the need to find a home for Angel, I really don't think Tribune Entertainment is the best network for the series. IMHO, Tribune Entertainment has a very bad track record of sustaining quality television series with any sort of intelligence.

They ruined fine series like Gene Roddenberry's Earth: Final Conflict and Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda. Dumbing down both series (less dialog, more action with cartoon plots) in the belief that it'll attract a more global audience. They wouldn't know what to do with something like "Angel" because it's too intelligent for them.

While I would like "Angel" to continue, I would hate for it to be ruined and then die a slow and painful death.

I heartily agree - Tribune somehow manage to make shows cheaply, and sell them in advance to enough countries to guarantee 3/5 or even 7 years, and despite that, have yet to produce one genuinely, consistently good and/or original product.
