This is a horrible photo of a painting I did for Cedric of the Bedlam Bards when he played here in Houston at the LoneStar Shindig, I made a second more more subtly for Greg Edmonson.

I'm Posting this in hopes someone has a better photo of my work, I'm insanely proud of the level of detail and the lighting none of which is really showing.
Wish yall could see Greg Edmonsons too..

to give yall an idea of how off the lighting is the autograph and message at the bottom are actually a bright metallic silver

eh, from what yall can see any suggestions?

ok here is the second piece, again with the poor photography, but you can see the glowy butt trail better in this one

The first posts picture is Cedric of the Bedlam Bards, this one now belongs to Greg Edmonson.

Xie Xie :)

it was my very first time in the media I used :) (airbrush ink, & calligraphy ink applied with a brush, my normal medium is acrylics or oil sticks, inks are decidedly more fluid)

I'm thinking about painting another one just so I can get a good picture of it to show off! :p

also, if I make another probably without the music notes, would anyone be interested in prints?

Wow, artcat, allowing for poor photography
those must be shiny indeed.

How much would a print cost?

Would it be a cool thing to take to a con
or two or three for signatures or would
it be damaged by the necessary amount of
handling to carry it around?

I'm not sure how much a nice quality print would cost, depends on how many I got made, and what size I print them, these two original paintings are 18" x 24" and they were designed entirely as gifts for the two big guests of the LoneStar Shindig ( which is why the musical notes are trailing off the ship into the black).
the idea originated because Greg Edmonson, said he would give autographs but only if the fans gave him an autograph in return (he is still unused to the idea of folks wanting his autograph).

like any poster, if you were going to carry it to a few conventions to get signatures you might want to carry it in a cardboard tune to minimize wear and tear.

I designed it so there was plenty of room for autographs so yeah if I make another one, and make prints I think it would be a perfect autograph surface!

There's no place I can be since I found Serenity.

I hope Greg and Cedric treasure our Browncoat signatures on their paintings as much as we treasure their autographs on the cds.

Great work, artcat.

TQVM for the info, artcat.

I understand that costs depend on the
specs of the print run.

I love the story about Greg E. What a
sweet person he seems to be, besides
having such a talent.

Best of luck with this project -- I hope
we can generate some interest in it.

That's terrific.
If the photos are "horrible" I must say that
the originals must be shiny indeed.

Artcat-

If you need a printer let me know. I am also in the Houston area, and I own a printing company.

I also do labels.
