hi all
is anyone out there interested in owning a painting of your favourite serenity or firefly character?
i hand paint digital paintings to a high standard and can do any of the characters.....examples below....

i realised from my other post that i should have included some examples of my work and mentioned that i do hand paint them entirely, there aren`t any tricks or paintovers.....no screencaps either....
anyway.....
regards.

You were busy trying to get yourself lit on fire. It happens.

Oooh... pretty! Wash's is my favorite! And River, and Jayne, and Mal... wait, that's all of them!

Good job, krispee!

I'd probably be in the market for one. Just a couple quick questions.

1. What paint do you use? (oil, water color, acrylic, etc.)

2. What do you paint on? (canvas, canvas board, etc)

3. What size do you generally make?

4. Rough price estimates.

And any other pertinent info you may think of. All the one's you've posted are excellent. You are very talented.

hi babywiththepower.
right, first things first, the pictures you viewed in my post are in fact digital paintings, i did mention that in my post, that means that they were painted entirely on a computer, still using the same skills and techniques i use as a conventional painter but this time on a computer. every stroke is actually painted by hand, all colours chosen by eye, just using different tools. the advantages of this are that they are cheaper and they take less time to paint.
they are then printed out on a quality computer printer or, if you want something a bit better (although that`s not necassarily the case with todays modern printers), printed by a third party printers on more conventional surfaces, and are therefore more expensive.

of course i do also paint conventionally, oils being my favourite medium (almost exclusively now), on canvasses, and also gallery wrap canvas, which is a deep canvas, about 2 inches deep, and doesn`t need a frame to hang, but i can paint on almost any surface. prices for oil paintings are more expensive since the process takes much longer and is more involved, with oil paints and brushes and various mediums added in, something you don`t have with a digital painting.

i paint in A4 and A3 sizes in digital mostly, that`s about 11 x 8 (A4) and 16 x 11 (A3) approximate sizes and in inches.
in oils i paint in a variety of sizes, 18 x 14 and 16 x 12 (again inches) are popular sizes but virtually any size is possible when painting in oils......
i can also do sketches in graphite.

as for prices well, a 16 x 12 oil painting might start from £300 whereas a digital painting on A4 might start from £100, depending on what surface and printing method you want.....you see how different the prices are, that`s the difference between digital and oils. either way you are getting a top quality item, painted to the highest standards.

if you want further proof of my work standard then look at this site:

thankyou for your interest.

Thanks for getting back to me. And as you cn see, I should try reading a little harder =P I'm at work, so I'll chaulk it up to distractions this time.

I'm definately interested, but the budget is a little tight at the moment. Once I can work it in, expect a message from me.

no problem, dude, i was also going to add that if you wanted one of those i`d already painted, digital of course, then we might be able to do a deal, since i wouldn`t actually have to do the painting part.....i`ll put together a list of all the digital paintings of FF/S i`ve already done.....
had a look at your blog on myspace, loved the delorean on big wheels, classic! lol

BROWNCOAT1

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

For those interested, who are attending Dragon Con this week, I will have the Mal pic above, as well as a River and an Inara pic for sale at the Con. Look for me at the Con, or PM me here to arrange a get together.

These are really excellent - I can't draw using a pencil, far less trying to draw using a computer!

Have you posted any of these in the Blue Sun Room? If not you should. It's a great way to draw attention to your work, and you can get feedback on each piece and supply details on how to order it.
