To all my friends out there in the Firefly world,,,,I’m sorry I’ve been Missing In Action, but I had a lot of issues to deal with in my life that I just needed to escape a bit to get my head together. You know who you are. *smiles* I was being selfish in leaving the way I did,,,nor did I act like a friend at all. Uncaring of others feelings and just worrying about mine, Selfish!! I apologize.

I didn’t realize that in leaving the site that I cherish, would cause so many questions from peeps that care about me in the long run. I had no idea the extent of how much YOU all considered me a friend and for that I APOLOGIZE FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART. I will understand if I’m not accepted back as freely as I departed.

Most of you know that I’m divorcing and well I’ve since moved out of my house. I’m living with a non-stop smoker, bachelor cousin, who generously opened his doors to me knowing full well that I could not even pay him rent until my house is sold. He is very neat and is unconsciously caring to woman and leaves the toilet seat down and the sink is always wiped clean and dry. Everything in the house pretty much stays in order, so for me, it is just that deep down girly clean the apartment needs.

Blog One: All is ok,,,challenging..To say the least....moved in on Friday, no heat or hot water, got hot water Friday night....At least I got my internet connection!! Of course, this past weekend had to be the coldest so far here in New England. I stayed wrapped in an electric blanket and borrowed an electric heater, lit as many candles as I could and tried to stay warm…It seemed to work cause when I left my room to venture through the artic to the bathroom, upon re-entering my room, it seemed warm…*smiles* Didn’t get much done in the house, cause every time I moved I got so cold I had to go back to the bedroom…didn’t do much of anything all weekend.

Mon: I finally got heat...YAY,,,thank god... Don't know if I could have taken another day of no heat. It has been really challenging finding my way to the bathroom, to only be cold in there, turn on the shower for hot water,,,,warm for a bit then back into the cold. LOL If anything, this has been an adventure.

Since I had heat I decided to put my room together a bit and unpack some boxes....geee, my wardrobe looks sad...never really gave it a thought before but my clothes look so much different in this environment. LOL I lost track of time unpacking and was 11:00 by the time I stopped so I just headed off to bed. Funny, been sleeping real well. Even the first night. Usually when I'm in a strange place takes me days to get used to the area, then you leave. But, nope.....out like a light. So that is real good. I think the pressure's of my old life have been lifted a bit and, have gone somewhat.

Tus morn: I have to get myself a mirror for my bedroom so I can do my hair without trying to be Houdini and run back to the bathroom to see what it looks like in between drying sections,,,,there is no outlet in the bathroom for a hair dryer so been really comical...Then, I head back to the bathroom to put on what little makeup I wear...too funny...But,,,I got to up, the heat was on and was nice and toasty in there when I was getting ready. I was, uh, on the road at 6:45. I should have looked at the clock before I left...LOL,,,stopped at Dunkin and Donuts for a coffee to kill some time so I wasn't at work by 6:50. LOL. I used to live 48 miles round trip from work…I now only drive 4.8 miles round trip….I will have to look at the clock before I leave.

My cousin smokes a lot, as I previously mentioned, so I bought a fan last night and it seem to work well,,,fits right in the window and helps with the smoke,,,,now, if I could get the landlady to not smoke in the cellar under my bedroom, I'd be home free. Cousin seemed to have gotten the hint last night, even though I wasn't trying to give one, he seemed to smoke less last night. Funny, even though I smoke, I can pick it right up in the house...I swear as soon as the first exhale escapes their mouths, I smell it. I do have mild asthma and I could feel it kicking in last night. I think a humidifier will work some wonders too, along with the fan, it should get better, if not, I'll have to see the Dr. about an inhaler, all mine are outdated and I never refilled them. And, living there I must be getting my nicotine fix, cause I haven't wanted a cigarette as often as I had. I only smoked 2 last night and neither one did I never finished to whole thing. So, goodie there I suppose.

Living on my own is going to prove real interesting when it comes to two things. One, dinners,,,,how do you cook for one? and is there a cook book for "Cooking for One?" I was thinking of going to the book store to see. Also, I may cook on Sundays and package stuff up for the week. That may help. Two, money,,,I only get paid every two weeks and I have to learn how to make it last. I have to pay 1/2 the mortgage and a bank loan and make sure I put that money aside each paycheck. I had to take a cash advancement for the mortgage payment this month, with the understanding between “he” and I, it will be paid when the house is sold. We needed to get ourselves on schedule so the payment isn't late. So, that is what we had to do, and the panic about money hitting me yesterday has seemed to have subsided..slightly *takes a deep breath*

Blog Two: Tue eve: With a mixture of ammonia, cascade dish washer soap, and ajax in the tub it took me 2 hours to wash down the bathroom. Each section of the walls I washed took like 3 washings to get the nicotine off and I'm not even done with the whole bathroom yet. At least the shower is clean and I have a new shower curtain. Which, that is kinda funny cause I bought just the plastic curtain and not the outside section, so when you turn on the shower, the plastic curtain seems to gravitate towards your body as you are trying to wash...*giggles* There is no broom so I can't sweep and the vacuum is so old it doesn't even suck...lol So, the floor and doors are still dirty...and the carpet......huh,,,,need I go there.

The smoke seemed to be real bad again and the fan does not appear to be working as well as to be expected….It does if you just smoke in the living room but he also smokes in his bedroom. I was thinking of somehow, without offending, offering him a fan for his room. I tried to open the window in my room a bit, cause it did get a little warmer, but because the house is so old, I couldn’t get the window to cooperate at all,,,so no opening a window. I will invest in an air purifier for just my room. I hope it helps. I felt like a gold fish out of water trying to breath. And yes, like I said, I smoke, not much, and never in a house or confined area so, I’m not used to it. If you don’t think it makes a difference, you either smoke or you don’t, trust me,,,,the little I do smoke, I must be a non-smoker cause this is killing me.

In trying to open the window I noticed how bad the curtains and blinds are,,,,gosh I just may throw them out and buy new ones.

Wed: My morning,,,huh,,,well,,,,ran out of hot water,,,great...had no hot water Friday, got it back and it's gone again....THIS time I think it is the water heater...I have gas...unless the pilot on the water heater is out...dunno,,,dunno know too much about it..So, I showered and shaved as much as I could stand it, had to turn off the shower so the cold water wasn't hitting my body,,,got on my hands and knees and washed my hair under the spout with freezing cold water.....fun....But, at least I have heat. UGH,,,fate worse that Cinderella I think.

Did better with time this morning, as far as when to leave the house. Today I left at 6:45. hit a CVS and got to work for 6:57,,,,stellah.

So, my aunt, my cousins mother, sent over a care package last night....some ham, rolls and some Magic Bars.....well,,,,my cousin can’t eat them because he is allergic to walnuts so I decided to bring them to work to share with coworkers. I opened the container and I thought,,,well,....not much of a sugar eater, but I'll give it a try,,,,took one out,,,took a bite, I thought "not bad." Well I look and the coconut seems to be dangling from the cookie attached by….wha….cob webs? I look at the container and there seems to be cob webs in the container too. I do further research and they are all molded.....omg....I spit out the magic bar and threw the container out...omg....my god.....will it get any better than this?

Well I have to say,,,this has been an adventure and tis not over yet….One thing I have to say for myself,,,I may be Cinderella, but, I’m happy, and relaxed,,,and happy…
