What's the Dump?

It's when something's on my mind, won't go away, I want to dump it on
someone, a pal maybe ... but I know it's of no interest to anyone but me,
'cause I'm the one whose mind is running it around for no good reason.

The dump intends to mention Singing Cowboys, the Ancestor who never was,
and Psychos I have known for starters. Anything that bugs me & I don't
know what to do with it.

Guys who were cowboys before they got to Hollywood.

Ben Johnson, Slim Pickens, Will Rogers, Bill Elliott.
Rex Allen is iffy -- he was around cowboys before Hollywood.

The thing is, I've not looked up half the actors who were regulars in
the old cowboy movies. No doubt, I've missed most of them.

Ben Johnson won an Oscar, Best Actor in a Supporting Role The Last
Picture Show (1971)
He turned down the role of Sam the Lion in The Last Picture Show.
But after they let him rewrite the part to suit his gentlemanly standards,
he was in.
