Howdie,

One year ago on November 4th, 2004 at 6:30pm EST, Into the Black: A Firefly MUSH opened it's doors for the first time.

It's now a year and almost two weeks later and ... wow. Amazing.

These'll give you an idea of what the game's been up to since we opened. :)

We've tried to adapt information from the movie as it's come to us and there's still alot going on behind the scenes to make it as involving and deep as possible.

In short, the fantastic playerbase and administration of Into the Black (ItB, as we call it) have been roleplaying in a real-time environment as pirates, soldiers, bounty hunters, ship crewmen, captains, etc. in a 'verse full of possibilities.

Our actual coded systems are still growing at a steady pace. I'll list a few here:

-Space simulator.
-Trade system.
-Merchant system.
-Civilian economy.
-Skill system.

Yes, we're a text-based roleplaying environment. We currently number roughly 50 players online at our peak hours of 4pm EST to midnight. That's when most folk get home from work. ;)
