The M16 ain't great, but it ain't bad. I spent five years in the army, using two versions of the M16 and only had 2 jams while firing ammunition that wasn't a blank. Once was because of a loose screw and the other was due to some sawdust in the chamber. If you can't get three rounds down range before it jams then somthing is seriously wrong the individual weapon or the ammunition.

As a caveat I will note that an M16 firing blanks will frequently jam.

Didn't Jayne use Vera to bust out the armored glass of the control booth during the rescue in War Stories?
