CHANNAIN-I'm uncertain about extent of Rowan and Mal's 'interaction'. Maybe Mal could invite Rowan to his cabin to show her his pool stick, put a note on Mal's cabin door saying:"If this cabin is a rockin', don't come a knockin'." More tasteful however, I think keeping it to at least an 'R'-rating would be a good idea. Perhaps brushing up against one another, touching of hands, looks and smiles, Rowan bluching, etc.

BTW:Anita Baker for romancing, and Stevie Ray Vaugn for all else. 'Nuff said!

Okay - I could se a not-quite episode happen with them. Getting completely hot and heavy and nearly all the way. One of them stops it in time, or they both do. I mean we all know where Mal's heart and whatever lies. Plus there's the added complication that Rowan doesn't know if her husband's still alive or not.

CHANNAIN-I like the not going all the way concept. Is Rowan happily married? Mal IS a lonely guy. A VERY lonely guy since he's holding out for Inara. Maybe some physical contact leading up to scantily-clad Rowan and an awkward but knee-wobbling experience for the two of them. Perhaps some double entendes? Innuendo and shameless flirtations? Maybe a drinking game to unwind after long day? I can go off your lead pretty much. Whatever you think is proper and in keeping with character.

I had a change of thought on the way home - funny what I think about in the car. Anyway, knowing your thoughts, it's good to know we're on the same wavelength.

Rowan was happily married. Her husband was a member of the central core of the resistance, captured after the Independent movement fell. Later, his name was listed among those executed by the Alliance for treason, but his picture was never released. She has this strange *feeling* he's still alive, but has never been able to find any confirmation. She's angry about it. One part "he's gone!" anger and one part "how dare they" anger, and one part "WHY!" Folks have funny ways of expressing that. She's had trysts before - she's a dragon, a volatile person who needs to *express* herself. Mal could be just one more - then again, if the trip to Hara is anything to go by it's going to be a looooooong ride to...where are we going again?

I'm getting the emphasis on the "scantily clad" part

and I'm thinking lacy black underwear for sure, preceded by a short black silk robe. Rowan has small luggage because she wears snug-fitting clothes and tiny undies.

Book taking her back to passenger quarters is a GREAT lead in for a shower. I'm working up to that right now.

CHANNAIN-Barring the fact that I now need a cigarette and/or a cold shower, I like the back story on Rowan's husband. We're going to New Hikido. I wanted it to sound Asian and exotic. Thought maybe that would play in nicely with your character. She has to have a reason for wanting to go to this destination. Family on New Hikido? Tournament? Know what I mean?

As I recall, WASH is supposed to get the booze. Thorne will, however, make sure some fresh limes are delivered before Serenity lifts off. Hope there's a blender on board.

By the by, I assume that since Thorne is actually a passenger, Inara's prohibition against servicing crew doesn't apply to him. He would certainly be interested in some civilized companionship, after having been away from the core worlds since the war. Would give him a chance to show his refined side (he was a senior officer in the Alliance forces, after all). Also give Mal something else to worry about, while he's flirting with Rowan.

Couple of clues from the series. Inara taking a sponge bath in her shuttle, and various comments from folks about being glad to land so they could take a real bath. The crew bunks (or at least Mal's) have a fold out toilet and a sink. Can't recall anyone talking about "heading for the showers", etc. Might be one in the passenger lav, or Rowan might have to settle for a dab with a washcloth.

Read through the RP - unless you've been doing that - and work on some character development. So far, i believe all the regular cast members are spoken for, and there are three passengers coming on, including myself. If you've already got something in mind, propose it to the troupe.

Now, my first idea consists of INFILTRATION. We need an operative on the inside (namely you). Secondly, INFORMATION ANALYSIS. To collate and evaluate all data (again, you). Thirdly, Sabotage. Have operatives cause mayhem and strife within enemie's organizational structure (yes, you guessed it, you again). Fourthly, Attack. When time is right, launch an all-out attack on enemy's main headquarters (you, but with motivational pep talk by me).Fifthly, Birth of Empire. This entails our ascencion to you-know-what and to rule the you-know-whos (this would be me, oh, and you as well).

BTW:We're going to have to "do away" with former leaders. Any thoughts, m'Lady? (By 'we', I mean you. I can't risk the bad pr.)

Whoa, how come I missed this post? doesn't it put them in order? Well I could the through the rp, but isn't there a lot that I've missed? As far as my character goes... his name is Damon, he's basically a mercenary, he gets work where he can- doesn't care what kind.
I don't know if you guys want him joining your crew, or how else he will fit in...
