btw - Whoa... good Mal. I didn't expect him to react to Jayne's accusations quite so ferociously.

Cool. I wasn't sure how you would have Rowan to react to not having her packet forwarded to her sooner. But with the injury and tension she has been under ... well - I thought I would give that leading suggestion.

Would she be a bit 'tense' if she did not get the packet she was due from weeks ago? {takes time to organize interstellar 9 ball tournys!}

As to Mal: Really!! You think I may be on the right path to 'getting' Mal's character down? Thanks!

His anger: Just continuning the state of mind that Geezer has played him in. Mal has had a REALLY bad week, so it seems! Wait till he find out Inara is traveling with Thorne for an undisclosed amout of time. The Atherton crisis redux... except Mal does respect Thorne - at least a bit.

Jayne just came in at the wrong time. Not to mention - Jayne HAS sold out the crew a coupla times.

Mal NEEDS a vacation!

Does the port burner need fixing or would that just be busy work? Cuz Damon doesn't want to intrude on Kaylee's turf anymore than he needs to.

Busy work, I would suppose. Working on the port burner was mentioned several times. Damon talked to Kaylee and sorta started the process, so I thought it should be tied up somehow. Even if it is put off till later, prolly need to be 'said'.

Actually email me and let me know what Damon would be looking for/at and I'll come up with some gobledygook that has some neat stuff (the ole foreshadowing} stuffed throughtout the 'news' and whatever Damon is keen to know about NH.

Hows that sound?

Well dang! I would have suggested that, but I had thought folks did not want to goto the trouble of color tags, much.

Sounds good, except my e-mails aren't going anywhere right now... I'm not at home, so my computer isn't finding my server or something... So if it works for you, I'll just post what he'd be looking at here:

number of cities with space docks, how expensive would things like food, supplies and transportation be at those cities, what is the Fed presense like, job opportunities

and if he gets the opportunity to use a cortex without anyone around, he'll check up on his wanted status. if the prise was raised, if raports were made

That's all I can think of...

Now now, Capn - I'll admit they took some getting used to, but the changing the font color for quotes is far less problematic than using the html, since the html adds in extra line spaces that makes formatting a bit more challenging than it needs to be.

Actually, no. I wrote Inara while Rowan was with her, but Geezer will be putting up a blended post soon. I believe Ciara still hopes to join us again soon, but her RL issues are still kind of murky, so she isn't able to play with us as often as she'd like.

Have to ask: which bits are awesome?

Maniac
The note Book finds is simple - it eerily says that it was put there specifically for Book to find. Truly hoping that Book would find it. Simon sez that he taken the portable brain scanner with him - in case the Dr. he was searching for proved difficult. He hopes that it won't be used and is fearful it will be needed. He also sez he may have to do things that look suspicious, but he has ripped* into some of Niska's waves and found some access codes. Codes that could make things easier to erase after the plan is finished. The last thing he writes is this quote: "The Greatest Trick The Devil Ever Played Was Making The World Think He Does Not Exist." and signed - In Brotherhood, Simon Tam

About the other thing in you email - Not sure if they would re-contact... too risky after, what four links or attempts? In their mind, he is to remain as is, if I remember the post correctly.

OK, now git ta posting folks!!!

I've been under the impression that I was only writing Inara long enough to end the Rowan encounter. Maybe I better go see what Ciara and I actually said...

Meantime, I'll agree to take on the task so long as the directors promise me there will be a casting call, and I mean SOON. It's not that I don't enjoy writing Inara (who wouldn't?), I just don't want to risk hanging up the RP any more than I already am by delaying Rowan posts.

I hope I didn't step on any toes here. I practically forced Channain to agree to this! Would Geezer be taking this on now? I haven't heard from him recently.

If people are waiting to post, can't they just go ahead and jump to 5pm or whenever? The posts won't be chronologically linear, be honestly, they never really are.

SHUSH! - don't remind anybody of that! We're trying to get organized here

Come to think of it, I believe Ciara and I only talked about this offline via e-mail. She and Geezer may have had a conversation (that they forgot to mention to me) about my putting up tryst and morning after posts that they had already written. I guess I had thought this was discussed on a broader scale, but then I haven't quite been as into the loop as I used to be - my bad. No toes trounced on here - just brain cells gone missing due to sleep deprivation is all.

So - since my IM hours are practically nonexistent these days, if anyone has anything they'd like to discuss on character/story aspects with Rowan and/or Inara, best you e-mail me directly or I might not pick up on it.

hi, I'm back :) I'll try to contact Geezer to see what's going with the Tryst and Mornin-after---if need be, I have my own copy that I can go ahead and post.....no worries, all...if you need to, just move on, and we can do the Tryst in "flashback mode" if need be..as said, nothing is ever truly linear..

I'd like to take a moment to PROFUSELY thank our dearest Channain for taking such fantastic care of Inara while I was out of commission--thank you, thank you, thank you, dear heart!! you did her perfect justice ;)

OK folks next group gathering timetick is 3PM.

Get anything you want to finish up do them before that - depending on post count - the beginning of the meeting will be the ACT closer.

Sound good?

And no I am not worried about keeping to the number of Acts convention. It will be as long as it needs to be. We just gotta watch out fer the dialup users ... Decoy sez it takes 3 to 4 minutes for a 40+ post thread to load fer him. Any other issues with dialup? Should we reduce the post number per individual ACTs?

Excellent. I mentioned this to CapnRahn once: If a handful of people are wrapping up / dragging out a thread and people are waiting, why not immediately start a new thread before discontinuing the old?

We could start the 3pm meeting thread (#16) very soon and leave Damon and Jayne to post anything they need about the cleanup, plus of course anyone else that has something to add.

Yes, I know he could have used the com, but Capn and I agreed this is a good way to get times and locations squared for all the characters.

what's with the joint and wrist troubles all of a sudden?

all right - ever'body stop typing. clasp your hands together and stretch them WAYYYY out over your head.

breathe... breathe... breathe... relax

now. put one arm down, make a fist with that hand, bend fist toward the inside of your wrist - feel the pull? do the same thing with the other arm.

last but not least, hold one hand up flat. take the other hand and try to bend the fingers on the first hand back toward the outside of your wrist. feel the pull?

repeat as necessary, or whenever you remember.

and you too can avoid tendonitis which leads to dreaded carpel tunnel. interesting what you can learn at a chiropractor's office, isn't it?

Thanks, Channy! I think I'm going to add this to my 'exercise regimen' (read: 'regular time to wander away from my desk'). Wrist feels better after this, too!

Yummy Rowan post, by the by.

Pardon you? what for? If its about the 'are you still at it' question, I was referring to Jayne's jokes.

Raven -

Good post! one problem.

Woman is/can be a Troy, if ok with CaponRahn. Cannot be a Mercedes - is only one, and you met her and she is a lot smaller.

Ask Capn for a list of names, OR who is detached right now. May actually make a difference.
