Very nice going, everyone! I have just now had the chance to sit down and read the RP.

Now I need to review and take a few notes and try to write something readable.

I might have accomplished that by now if daughter had not accidentally injured the dog and I had to doctor his profusely bleeding tail. And if not for several other interruptions today, when it was supposed to be my day to write.

Oh no. Is the dog ok? We had a tail incident a few months ago, it was horrible. Poor guy lost about three inches off the tip when it was all over. He's fine now and lucky my mom works at a Vet Clinic.

Yep, we got the dog patched up now and the vet gave us antibiotics and pain meds for him. He's 11 1/2 years old and still acts like a pup most of the time.

As for the PM's when you receive one you should get a notice via email.

Personally I liked the "Anybody home?" line. Not everyone would use terminology like "Permission to come aboard?" Especially in less formal, non-military environments. If you think "anybody home?" is silly a simple hello or excuse me would work to. But of course I'm not the GM here so it's up to the Cap.

Sorry for the lull folks. Hopefully I'll find time to post more later this week. I'll definitely be back in action by next week.

As it is I doubt I'll post too much any time soon.

Also we're still working on a plan for weekly, informal and voluntary meetings in the chatroom. I'm also still at work with my timeline but given my busy-ish schedule I'll probably not have anything solid until this weekend.

By the way on a separate note I'd like to ask anyone who supports our own BDH Adam and/or the TV series Chuck to try to make an effort to watch the show on NBC, NBC.com or Hulu or visit the website chucktv.net to find out how to help save it. Even if you don't care for it it is still a well written and exceptionally fun show and deserves another season, at the least. Things are looking good for a renewal(most likely mid-season 09-10) so keep your fingers crossed!

Unfortunately, I'm in a similar situation to Lincoln. I'm coming up to the end of semester and have a bunch of huge assignments to finish that require most of my time. The rest of my time is spent in class or at work, sleeping or eating. My apologies, but if you'd like to continue on without me, perhaps I can meet up with you all further on in the story. I'd much rather be writing this than most of my assignments (some of them are fun! I'm recreating the Dollhouse in Maya for 3D animation!) but unfortunately, my priorities must be thus.

Have fun. And yeah, definitely watch Chuck, Dollhouse, and Castle. They all deserve renewal.

Cool. Well, I've dropped my course so I'm pretty much free till next semester when I start a different one. I'm just waiting for time to pass in-game. Otherwise I'd be giving a desscription of, well, black, dreams, black. Maybe as third person I could describe his drool...

Umm. One thing about our world. The Thebarton skyplex doesnt make sense. Its all very well and good to make it feel like a city, but it isnt a practical design. For ships to come in and out of teh plex, and land on ground, like in on-world docks, you'd need massive ship-size airlocks.
The designs in Firefly are actually very sensible and realistic. Boring, but our one doesnt make sense!

I didn't mean I was bored with the RP, really, just bored in general. :D

I've solved that by doing some work for an event coming up at the Vet clinic my mom works at. Also I've got that time line to do.... seriously I swear I'll get on it tonight some and hopefully more this weekend and next week.

Plus I've discovered about a dozen new obscure games... so there's that.

BTW Once I get all the "unchangeables"(Canon and semi-canon 'verse events) in the time line done I'll be doing a thread and asking everyone for information like birth dates, major RP-related life events and other ideas. I'm hoping to make it an interactive and fun-to-utilise time line. It'll span about a century(From early 2400's-current RP date) for the most part, I may include information dating back to the mass exodus from earth-that-was, though I'd remain vague on dates for those entries(i.e. mid-21st through 22nd century etc..) since they are merely speculative in nature, even within the canon of the 'verse.

Anyway, I'll stop now before I ramble on about this for hours.

One question. Do we have "real" coffee or just a soy imitation. I vote for real. Maybe smuggled in as part of a payment on a job?

Looks like I'll have a chance to write something almost every day now for the next few weeks if anybody wants to play.

Also, a good time for the chat room meet-ups for me are in the late evening, Eastern Daylight Time. I'll try to check in every night around 9 or 10 p.m. to see if anybody else can make it.

That's the idea. We've got a bit of a surplus on the stuff since it was payment for a heist or something. The story isn't really fleshed out.
