Lunar Activity: A North-European FireFly LARP

OK, first a disclaimer for those who are not familiar with Northern European LARP style. First off this LARP will be arranged in Norway. And we have s diffrent sett of LARP standards than Europe and America. We acctually use replica or Airsoft guns as props(without bullets) and we have simple rules for martial arts(or fighting without weapons). When using swords we use the standard Nordic Latex weapons.
But we have a great many players on our LARPS a normal LARP has around 80-120 players. Where everyone plays a role. The GM's create the setting and helps out with the roles. And when the LARP starts the GM's work are done. Offcourse they have stuff to do when the LARP is in action, but not to watch over each room and maintaning a "life as a judge". Noone can win a LARP, but everyone goes home as a winner...

The location of the LARP is a real place not just a basement or a Industrial Facility Room or something. We have several buildings and a outdoor enivorment.

Well now its time to tell about the LARP.

The LARPS name is Lunar Activity. And it takes place on one of the moons on the planet Beylix in the Burnham System. The players live in a smal community named New Daisy Creek, and most work in a mineral facility hovering in the gas clouds of Beylix. THey work one month and have two weeks free. Ofcourse there are other employees in this comunity. We have a Motel, a bar/borthel, a local store (think wild West comunity store), and the two houses where the mining families live in a collective. Right outside the comunity there is a small space port where there is room for 2-3 small transport ships and a Alliance suplyship port.

As the LARP starts the players knows that in a few days (1-2) the Alliance will come with medical and food suplies. And at the same time take a routine check for illegal activities. The comunitu leader might have the Alliance laws and rules but they are without doubt out of date. The local Community store have a some non-regular food because the alliance proteinbars are not so tasty or fancy to place on a dinner table. So the Store Manager gets canfood and some dried fruits from private travelers(for example Mel and his Crew).

Another important thing for the setting is that there is a ice-front between the locals and the travelers. "We don't trust strangers in this Town..." But this is just to get a bit more of the Wild West feeling.

So now I'm going to tell you fellas why I'm posting this here. I was thinking that many here might have something to say about the setting a hint or a clue for me as GM to create the Feeling of the FireFly universe. And keep in mind that we will LARP(stay in-character) 24 hours a day for about 4-5 days. With no break. Off-course there will be a room where the GM has a Computer with extra roles(fore those who dies), and this room is a Out of Character Room where one can take a break if one need one.

And ofcourse if you wanna participate on this LARP just contact me, and wee will make it work. As long as you can get to Oslo we have places you can sleep and get to know some of the other players before and after the LARP.

A few questions to start it off...

-What music do they have?(what do they play(Banjo and Guitar?) and what do the jukebox play?)

-Food? Dried fruits and can-food or steak and fresh vegetables?

-Accomondations, in my opinion pretty much as in our time... Some live together and some dont...
