How will Trump treat when he figures it out? Or is this what Trump wanted?

I have to agree. All this whining and so far Trump is to the left of me somewhere. Can we have our old free market system back ? It seemed to do fine for a couple centuries. Now we have the Mengele system, which kills 900k a year in malpractice, 1.3 million a year in hospice, and who knows how many in "never admitted to" botching and denial of care, but i know i have to go through seven deniers before i get care under obamacare, and i still haven't gotten care. I live off a floating 24 hour lifespan with support from mushroom soup. My sister of course died form denial of care, as I posted here four years ago. The denial started April 2012 with the ethnics panels, it wasn't until Jan of 2013 that the hospital admitted that she was denied care. In march she was put on a deliberate termination protocol. The hippocratic oath's legal status was revoked in 2010, and ethics panels were allowed, overturning the requirement to treat which has been installed in the 1950s . Eisenhower care would be great, or anyone up to george w bush care. I want to see everything that started in 2009 undone, except for the millions of victims, i'd take that undoing with a time machine, but otherwise we'd have a zombie apocalypse

Now we found out Trump's view:
Trump declares war against Republicans.
If this report is true:

http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/trump-threatens-gop-back-health-bill
-or-get-primaried/article/2617074

The Donald decides to abandon his own campaign promises, endorse the opposition plan, and threatens to Primary anybody with backbone, any Republican who tries to support their own pledges from their campaign, which was also Trump's campaign promise.

Sounds pretty much like the nightmare feared by bystanders who worried what would happen if Trump won.

Did you also waste your vote on either New York Liberal #1 or New York Liberal #2?

Republican leaders on Capitol Hill and the Trump administration say the GOP faces a binary choice. Pass the AHCA, possibly with some minor alterations, and fulfill their years-long promises to repeal and replace Obamacare, or let the opportunity pass and bear responsibility for a failing to fix health care.

Or maybe slow down a bit and take a little time to consider this. The damage for the year has already been done. People won't be seeing another raise in health insurance tax until around October.

Why the big rush?

Nope, voted for New York Liberal #3. Sanders.
Here in NY which to some people is a foreign country, we don't recognize HRC. She spent one night in NY years ago on a layover at JFK. That story came out when she was "Senator from New York." She bought a house here, to represent us, and then she bought a dog so someone would be living in the house. And then the dog was killed by a car. Hence the "Hillary was the driver" theory. But to do that, she'd actually have to come to NY.
Mr. NY was here tho.

No, I voted for Stein in the end, but I should have wrote in Bernie, a lot more people did, but i thought they wouldn't be counted. Since the election I've been annoyed by the way he's been arguing like a dem rather than trying to cut a deal with Trump, maybe he has a plan, maybe not, but it seems that while Trump responds well to critics, he hates solid detractors.

Left right seems to be losing its meaning. Now the major difference seems to be "do you want to kill everyone?" and a lot of pink hats out there gravitating towards, yes, for gay rights, womens rights and soros. meh. politics

I agree. First thing I've seen in this country since Ron Paul. I think now though he has to support someone can actually beat the machine, because at this point, that's more important than beating the republicans. There's an opporunity here for the left to re-examine why they lost, and see what could have actually won, and then take more seriously what the people want, and give up on this agenda laden chest beating. All that gets us is a bunch of loons in pink hats.

Sanders is going to propose single payer.
http://fox5sandiego.com/2017/03/27/bernie-sanders-to-propose-single-pa
yer-health-care-program
/

Quote:

WASHINGTON — Now that efforts to pass sweeping health care legislation have failed, Sen. Bernie Sanders plans to propose a health care system funded entirely by taxpayers.

Speaking on “State of the Union” Sunday, Sanders told CNN’s Dana Bash that he intends to introduce legislation outlining a “Medicare-for-all, single-payer” health care plan — and he will reach out to President Donald Trump to help advance it.

“Ideally, where we should be going is to join the rest of the industrialized world and guarantee health care to all people as a right,” Sanders said. “That’s why I’m going to introduce a Medicare-for-all, single-payer program.”

Such a plan would likely face certain defeat in Congress. But calling the GOP health care bill “a disastrous piece of legislation” that “should have been defeated,” Sanders acknowledged that “Obamacare has serious problems.”

“Deductibles are too high,” Sanders said. “Premiums are too high. The cost of health care is going up at a much faster rate than it should.”

When Bash asked if Sanders would reach across the aisle and “pick up the phone and call the White House” to promote the legislation, Sanders emphatically replied: “Absolutely.”

“President Trump, come on board,” Sanders said. “Let’s work together. Let’s end the absurdity of Americans paying by far the highest prices in the world for prescription drugs.”

Sanders has long advocated for such a program, including when he was a presidential candidate.

His plans come in the wake of calls for bipartisanship following the implosion of GOP efforts to repeal Obamacare last week.

On Monday, Minnesota Democrat Rep. Keith Ellison, deputy chairman of the Democratic National Committee, said on CNN’s “New Day” that members of his party “stand ready” to work alongside Republicans on health care, including on issues such as lower prescription drug prices.

Across the country, California Democrats (aided by grassroots organization Our Revolution, a by-product of Sanders’ campaign) are advocating for a similar bill that would launch a statewide single-payer health care system.

I can see a version of this passing, as an optional program, where you could buy medicare, or below a certain income level could apply. Let's see if there's a way to pay for it. Yes, it conflicts with what I just posted in the other thread, but I'm not in congress, and this is a real proposal.

There isn't a single mindless Trumpite on this board SGG. Just a lot of people that are tired of the mindless rhetoric, policies, and general idiocy of the sheep among the Left.

Maybe talk about real issues like this instead of talking about Russia everyday and we can have actual discussions.

G,

They have. It's about $2 trillion. I'm not about to follow Bernie off a cliff, which is a place that politicians often drive. I voted for him even though I'm no fan of socialism because I thought he was honest. That said, I followed him for years and ended up unsubscribing to the Bernie Buzz because he kept sending me spam to get behind one thing or another, and there were a lot of things he didn't grasp the economics of. That said, he's lightyears better than Hillary Clinton or Chuck Schumer.

I actually think medicaid is a better idea because it's state, but there's a huge difference between an idea and a proposed piece of legislation. Also, good for him for wanting to work with Trump. There's a huge amount of dysfunciton in Washington, and it leads nowhere. And yet is copied everywhere.

A free market is ideal. A captured market can hold your life onthe line until you or some financial instrument company pays a mint. It's not good. Single payer would work, at least as an interim measure, until we can get this system under control. As long as it's a point of service, price standardized plan. Ohterwise, of course, it's a govt handout ot the providers. Or service deniers as i've started calling them.

This is exacty the fear that many reasonable people had about Trump.
He told he crew that HE DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THE DETAILS, WHETHER IT WOULD ACTUALLY REPEAL OBAMACARE, HE DIDN'T WANT TO KNOW ND DIDN'T CARE, he justy wanted it put together so he could say it would do what he said (it wouldn't) and he could say the name reflects what his campaign promise was (Name only, true - the body and substance was devoid of what his promises were).

This is the worst thing that can result from Trump election, and it is what we are stuck with now.

Many fear Trump will do the same disaster with the Tax Plan.

I'm not sure why the recent House passage of the 90% Obamacare bill is being called Trumpcare, when Trump had little to do with it.

I wonder if the Koch Brothers are still financing every Republican that voted against this version - or if that only applied to the previous version.
