Why does someone request immunity from prosecution before speaking with federal investigators? That question will likely consume Washington in the weeks ahead after Thursday night’s bombshell Wall Street Journal report about former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn.

According to the Journal, Flynn is seeking an immunity deal from the FBI and the congressional intelligence committees in exchange for an interview on the Russia investigation, a potentially ominous move for a Trump administration struggling to move past the allegations surrounding it. What Flynn would discuss with investigators if granted immunity is unknown. According to the Journal, neither FBI investigators nor the congressional committees have accepted his offer so far.

Or, he could get up there and go "I know nothing, where's my get-out-of-jail-free pass"?

Or "I only know this one thing that is really just as vague and hard to prosecute as all the other allegations".

This smells of an end-run around punishment to me.

I hope the FBI has done their homework on this one...

I had that thought, but I think our politicians are pretty dumb. It would be easy to snark him, since he did say asking for immunity is an admission of guilt. HRC would've said "silence him" and then "he committed suicide"

As far as I can tell, Flynn's conversations with "the Russians" were pretty innocuous, it was his conversations with Turkish Foreign Mevlut Cavusoglu to kidnap Gülen to Turkey that might be the real problem.

OTOH, apparently Woolsey was also at the meeting, so maybe this is just business-as-usual for the CIA ans DIA, and there is something else ... something worse ... in the background.

I'm beginning to see why Trump dumped Flynn though .... it did seem an outsized reaction to "he talked with the Russian Ambassador".

But this is a great benefit of the Trump Presidency ... by putting pressure on the deep state, all of this stuff starts to come out into the open, and if people keep their wits about them then we'll see all kinds of interesting things!

I guess they don't want us to know what Flynn has to say. They prefer to keep it quiet behind an official wall, for as long as they can. That can only benefit the deep-state coup against Trump. It's another signal about what's going on. The sides have lined-up.

That's. Why. It. Was. Funny. They propped Hillary up for target practice twice which clearly helped him win. But now they are gunning for him? Maybe they just don't want any president? Maybe after they gut Trump they will drive up to the WH in a Starsky and Hutch General Lee Plymouth and drop their pants and moon everyone? What? Huh?

Or maybe Putin likes to see us in conflict. After all, his goal is to show Democracies don't work.

OK. You seem to need it spelled out for you.

Illegal intelligence leaks - without any evidence, mind you, just rehashing the same unsubstantiated claims - can only come from the intelligence community, especially the CIA. (The CIA has not been under control of the entire constituted US government since the Iran-Contra collusion. Ever since, it's been deployed covertly at the behest of individuals in government, and has often been supplied and funded through extra-Congressional means such as deals with terrorists and foreign governments.) Anyway, these CIA leaks are designed delegitimize and eventually remove our democratically elected president, as per CIA SOP (in increasing severity - corrupt, threaten, media campaign and paid agitators, assassination/ accident, covert ops, military - 'confessions of an economic hit man').

You with me so far? The deep state is running a soft coup against Trump through its minions in the 'intelligence community', using well-known techniques, including illegal leaks from that 'intelligence community'. Any claim, gossip, or allegation that might hurt Trump is freely publicized.

Information that might help Trump is quashed.

Sorry, little bugs are eating my brain.
Yes, of course.

My take on what happened? First, the election:

So, they put Hillary up because they wanted her to win. HRC installed Trump as the GOP nominee because the polls showed he was the only one who she could beat.

And she fucked up. Here's how.

Initially, the Donald, Mr. New York, was playing the game completely according to script, including saying all the known vote losers that would throw it to his friends, the Clinton, with whom he used to regularly vacation, he'd play golf will Bill, and the girls, Ivanka and Chelsea, would talk business.

Then, HRC fucked up, all by herself, because she's a truly toxic individual. All of her communications with everyone confirm this endlessly. She bitches and whines about everything "How dare he ask a question I didn't pre-approve? Matt Lauer is finished" from her days as First Lady, to the "sh*t-kickers" who guarded her and "this fat lazy n*gger just here to take a bullet for you ma'am," all the way back to Arkansas, or her "Little Confederacy" as she called it, back in her Walmart Exec days, when she called her and Bill the "Bonnie and Clyde of politics" back to Law School, when "Team Clinton" tried to railroad the watergate prosecution and got thrown off the case, for being toxic. And she is.

So, she started dragging the name Trump through the mud. And the media joined in. Because they're pretty toxic. And here's the Donald. A man who has spent his entire life building his name into a brand to leave to his children. And she destroyed that name. And you could see it in his face and here it in his voice, the "Now it's on, bitch."

After that, everything changed. Trump tried to backtrack on a lot of the auto lose positions he'd take to throw the election, but it was no use. Nothing he could do was going to make latinos vote for him. So, he gathered a committee of everyone he trusted. His friends. And Chris Christie. And then they strategized. They threw out the republican playbook, and started looking at where in the blue states Mrs. Clinton was weakest. The answer was great lakes and inner cities. So, they analyzed why. And here was why:

Manufacturing. The rust belt had had it with empty democratic promises. Inner cities were a mess, and blacks were fed up with the lack of results. Even under Obama, who cared about the issue but was paralyzed by an in the ditch DC. Obama's own neighborhood had its biggest decline while Obama was president. Obama didn't move back there for a year, not so Malia and Sasha could finish school, but because he had to task Rahm to clean up Woodlawn and Kenwood so that it would be safe to move back. And in the rural areas, people were just as broke. It was just a solid belt of disenchanted blue from Detroit ot Philadelphia, and Trump hit it hard.

So, yes, Julian Assange, Australian Hacker and Russian journalist, released some damning stories about Hillary Clinton. On top of a long list of damning stories that were already out there. But the entire mainstream media, even fox, was releasing negative stories on Trump around the clock.

And he won. Because his message resonated with the people and they voted for him. He deserved to win, he fought hard. She cheated all she could. She had rigged Smartmatic on her side, she had the DNC on her side against Bernie, she was wiretapping, she had the questions to debates ahead of time, she thought she had it made. She was an arrogant "this was promised to me" yes she actually said that, entitled drama queen.

So, that was actually a total surprise. The system just fucked up. Once in, they want rid of him for anyone at all who is part of the system, even Mike Pence. They don't love Pence. But they want back in power. Please, they say, someone who drank our koolaid, someone we can control.

So, who pulls the strings. Not Bannon. He's a strategist, like Priebus. The Trumps decided to find new allies and fast. This probably came after Obama told them what a nightmare it was coming into town and knowing no one.

So, this is why Rex Tillerson. There had to be someone who could give them the kind of support they needed to stay in DC. Tillerson wasn't even a Trump supporter, but he had what Trump needed: a $20 trillion oil deal with Vladimir Putin. The arctic ocean is home to the largest oil reserves ever found, but also home to the Russian fleet, with their nuclear subs, icebreakers, and 1/2 the world's nuclear missiles. The arctic is armed to the teeth. It's like finding gold in a bear cage. Next step is talking the bear into the idea that this is going to be good for the bear.

And the media and elites know this. They know what's really up. They also know if they spill it, a whole lot of people will say "actually, that doesn't sound too bad. beats another war in the middle east." So they stack it up with false narratives "Oh, he said grab 'em by the pussy" or "he's a Russian agent" and all this nonsense that you see here and elsewhere that is part of a canned narrative being pushed by Huffington Post and NYT, WaPo and MSNBC, and a few others, that is basically "make a cartoon out of Trump so no one can take him seriously."

Once they get rid of him, they'd install Pence, and try to run his admin back to the NWO agenda, back in on the TPP and WTO, back sucking up to China, back into Afghanistan and Iraq and Syria, on the Saudi/Turkey/Israel fusion ISIS side, not on the Assad-Russian side, like we are now. (The Yemen thing has been going on for a while, and someone must've corner him somewhere to get him into backing the Saudis in Yemen, because the Saudis have doe nothing for him. They're part of his problem)

"Call me Mr. Brexit" is just not what the NWO is looking for. They've spent the last three decades building multinational unions like the EU, to make the one world unelected totalitarian state. They almost had it, too. Putin was the last strongman in their way. Now we have one too. I'm actually okay with that. Sure, I have a lot of issues with Trump. but the NWO, IMF, World Bank, even the EU and NATO are very worrisome, far closer to a 4th reich than any American will ever get (child euthanasia, really?) China is a nightmare, and the Mideast is a gorram disaster.

So it all falls apart, for the want of a horseshoe nail. That's how I see it.

It's like the full transformation of the EU to a German Empire was embodied by the Lisbon Treaty, which dissolved national sovereignty. It almost passed. they bought every govt. Slovenia and Ireland had constitutions that could not be altered without referendum, so the EU spend billion on Slovenia and Ireland to make everyone happy. Slovenia voted for it. Ireland was going to, 60:40, until two days before the election when Gerry Adams said "Anyone who votes for this is a traitor." And then it failed in Ireland 48:52. And Germany kept pushing anyway, but others thought about it, read about it, the Czechs pulled out, and then it all fell apart. The best laid schemes of mice and men.

Sorry, that was long, but you sincerely asked, so that's my sincere take on it.

SO, some people believe that Flynn has some serious (Russian) shit to lay on Trump. And they're for the idea that immunity would let Flynn spill the beans. But TRUMP is for immunity for Flynn, too! Why would Trump want to promote Flynn testimony if he believed there was anything damaging to reveal? Didn't anyone catch this logical flaw?

But aside from that, then the Democratic answer to the situation should be to call Trump's bluff (or what they think is a bluff) ... push to give Flynn immunity too. Since this is what Trump wants, it should be pretty easy to accomplish. Just have him testify.

What's with all the bitching and whining about it? The solution seems to be pretty straightforward. I just don't get the problem.

I would grant him immunity with the only caveat being that it will be revoked if he himself was involved in any provable treasonous acts against the US.

Oh, while on the topic of the CIA

Quote:

https://wikileaks.org/vault7/?marble9
Today, March 31st 2017, WikiLeaks releases Vault 7 "Marble" -- 676 source code files for the CIA's secret anti-forensic Marble Framework. Marble is used to hamper forensic investigators and anti-virus companies from attributing viruses, trojans and hacking attacks to the CIA.

Marble does this by hiding ("obfuscating") text fragments used in CIA malware from visual inspection. This is the digital equivallent of a specalized CIA tool to place covers over the english language text on U.S. produced weapons systems before giving them to insurgents secretly backed by the CIA.

Marble forms part of the CIA's anti-forensics approach and the CIA's Core Library of malware code. It is "[D]esigned to allow for flexible and easy-to-use obfuscation" as "string obfuscation algorithms (especially those that are unique) are often used to link malware to a specific developer or development shop."

The source code released reveals Marble contains test examples in Chinese, Russian, Korean, Arabic and Farsi.

“This would permit a forensic attribution double game, for example by pretending that the spoken language of the malware creator was not American English, but Chinese, but then showing attempts to conceal the use of Chinese, drawing forensic investigators even more strongly to the wrong conclusion,” WikiLeaks explains, “But there are other possibilities, such as hiding fake error messages.”

Marble is used to trick forensics into mis-attributing code to the wrong source by inserting other-language fragments.

This smells of an end-run around punishment to me.

I hope the FBI has done their homework on this one...

G, Trump has never used the deflect/fake news ploy ever. The tweeting fool will stupidly use any tactic to through the investigators off the scent, but the more he tweets, the deeper he digs into the dog-shit of his presidency.

I did catch the major logic flaw or outright lie that you would believe a compulsive liar.

"I did not have sexual relations with that women..."

Liars, like Kiki and Trump, will lie even when all evidence is against them. Even when what they say is laughably, observably preposterous to everyone. It's what makes them shitty people.

Didn't you know G, that our resident Russian trolls have their finger on the pulse of American espionage. They have discovered that the CIA/FBI/NSA is out to undermine the democracy of this country; and that our good friends
in Russia are our comrades in arms to defend our freedoms. Up is down, black is white, dogs and cats sleeping together (at least that's what they'll have you believe).

If they're so independent then it doesn't matter who's president.

Damn! People's conspiracy theories keep changing! It matters, it doesn't matter. Silver bullets, you have to invite them in, on and on.

I know one thing for sure; you can't have a good Bogeyman without a good Bogeyman name, like "Deeeeeep Staaaaaate." Now say it with a lot of bass and add some echo... Dee eee eeep Staa aaa aate Sounds even scarier.

WARNING! Don't ever say it if you are home alone with the lights out and then go into the basement... BOO!

THIS from the guy who posted a while video of FAKE NEWS with FAKE PICTURES of FAKE EVENTS as shown on the TV show HOMELAND.

And, when I pointed out the ridiculousness of each and every allegation in the video, and the FAKENESS of each allegation, which depended on FAKE PICTURES to make their pointless points this is what THUGR posted ....

Quote:

I recently saw documents where SIG was interviewed about what it is like being a Russian troll. Later in the interview she also revealed she is a Hermaphrodite. She explained this is the main reason for her trolling on the internet. She was picked on as a child, hates herself, and can't stop masturbating. The interview was really quite illuminating.

Those weren't suppose to be thee specific tweets OR THEY WOULD HAVE FOCUSED ON THEM. They were GRAPHICS used to represent tweets. They DO THAT BECAUSE MOST OF THE WATCHING PUBLIC NEEDS THEIR HANDS HELD BRAINS WASHED

to which I replied

NOTHING in this video was real. It was all FAKE PICTURES, designed to induce you, the audience, to react AS IF THE ALLEGATIONS WERE REAL ... to create the illusion of reality ... which of course they weren't. What is that called again? Prop ...propaga ... something like that.
Yep, leave it to GSTRING to defend and promote propaganda! Because people need their HANDS HELD BRAINS WASHED.

Now, as far as I can tell this is a pointless thread.

Either give Flynn his immunity and let him testify, or continue to be weenies but ... STOP WHINING about this.

The other option is that "investigation" will reveal "evidence" of "crimes" for which Flynn will be brought to trial and then he will testify.

But this "charging" someone by leaking bits of classified information and then "trying" them in the court of public opinion using propaganda from a complicit press ...isn't that what we say Russia does?

You know me... I'm all about evidence. I have asked you multiple times to think of yourselves as jurors on a jury box... demand more from the media than fake news, fake pictures, and propaganda.

It is Flynn's right to be able to face his accusers and to testify own his own behalf, so stop participating in this non-Constitutional process.

As for DT? He was sometimes an a**hole. I'm prosaic at times, but I'm not about to post like Sig.

Fox and RT.com are 'you get what you pay for' news: complete with a very obvious slant. Here's another one: Al Jazeera. But they are news. If you remove the opinion, their actually reporting is lightyears better than CNN, whose reporting basically amounts to retweeting whatever someone says on social media.

CNN is a disaster. Any audience that believes its source 95% might as well be a cult. John Stewart had them right. Six year olds playing soccer. Hurting America.

As for the Russians, they really don't care what we think. If you want to a disruptive influence, the SJWs with their culture of pessimism garbage. 31 genders? It's all about your race and your gender. It's all Maddow and Milo, they're both Frankfurt School junkies. This is America's worst enemy. And that's the point, to hurt America.

You should join my Virtual America thread. I need sane people who disagree with me. We're gonna make a whole new govt, got great people, the best, and this thing, this virtual govt., it's gonna be yuge!

I more or less concur that the CIA was funding ISIS and the US Military is currently fighting against ISIS. The only gray point is how you define ISIS. In the US, we include militias like Al Nusra, so that would be a yes.

It's a pretty sorry state to be in when you're fighting against yourself. That said, the CIA is probably wrong, as ISIS is a religious extremist terrorist militia and Al Nusra specifically is not unequivocally the one who used chemical weapons on civilians. That said, it's harder to get the CIA to change than the US govt.
