They have been whining that when their Criminal parents are held in Adult Detention or Prison, the children should be also incarcerated in order to keep innocent children together with their Criminal parents.

To me this seems like it would be unjust and unfair, but that makes it all par for the course for intolerant and unjust Libtards.

Plus, more families were separated under Obama than there have been under Trump. Where was the outcry then?

SO predictable. This is 100% Trump, and no one else. Well, Miller the Nazi is behind it, but his Satanic influence will be out the door soon.

Trump is holding children hostage to get Congressional Democrats to vote for funding Trump’s Texas/Mexico Wall. Since Mexico won't pay for Trump's Wall, and Trump won't pay, despite having $10 billion to build the whole wall in his personal checking account, maybe the Democrats will.

God demands children be punished for their parents' sins, per Attorney General Jeff Sessions, who reached for a biblical verse to defend his department’s policy of separating migrant parents from their children at the Mexican border, saying that God supports the government. Quote:

The United States government placed an unknown number of Central American migrant children into the custody of human traffickers after neglecting to run the most basic checks on these so-called “caregivers,” according to a Senate report released on Thursday.

In the fall of 2013, tens of thousands of unaccompanied minors traveled to the U.S. southern border, in flight from poverty and gang violence in Central America. At least six of those children were eventually resettled on an egg farm in Marion, Ohio, where their sponsors forced them to work 12 hours a day under threats of death. Local law enforcement uncovered the operation last year, prompting the Senate’s Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations to open an inquiry into the federal government’s handling of migrants.

“It is intolerable that human trafficking — modern-day slavery — could occur in our own backyard,” Senator Rob Portman, Republican of Ohio and the chairman of the subcommittee, told the New York Times. “But what makes the Marion cases even more alarming is that a U.S. government agency was responsible for delivering some of the victims into the hands of their abusers.”

As detention centers became incapable of housing the massive influx of migrants, the Department of Health and Human Services started placing children into the care of sponsors who would oversee the minors until their bids for refugee status could be reviewed. But in many cases, officials failed to confirm whether the adults volunteering for this task were actually relatives or good Samaritans — and not unscrupulous egg farmers or child molesters. The department performed check-in visits at caretakers’ homes in only 5 percent of cases between 2013 and 2015, according to the report.

The Senate’s investigation built on an Associated Press report that found more than two dozen unaccompanied children were placed in homes where they were sexually abused, starved, or forced into slave labor. HHS claimed that it lacked the funds and authorities that a more rigorous screening process would have required. However, the investigation also found that HHS did not spend all of the money allocated to it for handling the crisis.

The agency placed 90,000 migrant children into sponsor care between 2013 and 2015. Exactly how many of those fell prey to traffickers is unknown, because the agency does not keep track.

6ixStringJack, you conclusively proved that Republicans threatened to kill children back in 2013. Obama does not have the power to monitor the Republicans 24 hours per day so that their crimes could be prosecuted. The responsibility is with the local authorities, not Obama, to keep Republicans from committing felonies such as raping children or enslaving children. But you decided to blame Obama, rather than Republicans. Good thinking, 6ixStringJack. You are a credit to your race.

We can't blame 2013 on Trump? Or Bush? Maybe Clinton or Reagan?

Butbutbutbut the Senate inquiry was based upon an AP Story. Is AP a Fake News Source? The Inquiry of Obama's failures was from a Senate which was GOP? That can't be!

Even ex-White House staffers are lobbying President Trump to end the separation of children and parents at the border.

Former White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci is the latest Trump affiliate to demand the president end the divisive immigration policy "today," calling the policy "atrocious" and "offensive to the average American" on CNN on Monday morning.

In today’s news, which can’t be blamed on Congressional Democrats, but does fit with the story of Why Do Republicans Demand Children Be Thrown Into Adult Prison? a Republican Texas sheriff's deputy is accused of sexually abusing a 4-year-old, then threatening her mom with deportation. You never know what a sheriff’s deputy is capable of, but it was never Obama’s problem; it was always the local Sheriff’s problem to control his deputy.

While Trump delivers concrete material benefits to wealthy business executives in the form of tax cuts and industry-friendly regulation, what he’s offering his working-class backers is that cracking down on foreigners will solve their problems and that his willingness to suffer the condemnation of cosmopolitans is a token of his dedication to their interests.

Trump’s white working-class base sees a world in which cultural elites have marginalized their concerns in favor of caring a lot about the problems of immigrants and minorities. White working-class voters see a zero-sum battle for attention and sympathy in which caring about immigrants’ problems means neglecting their own. Not everyone of such voters may approve of cruel treatment of Central American asylum seekers, but at the end of the day, the message that Trump is perhaps excessively cruel to foreigners emphasizes the notion that he is on their side.

U.S. Placed Immigrant Children With Traffickers, Report Says

This I believe was the outfall of Obama's DACA. There were plenty of stories running in the LATimes 2012-2014 about parents and children living on opposite sides of the border after Obama - the 'Deporter in Chief' - deported their parents.

LATimes
Obama to Dreamers' parents: No deferral for you
Michael McGough
Nov 21, 2014 | 4:00 AM
The most curious aspect of the proposal was what it didn’t contain: deferral of deportation for the parents of the so-called Dreamers, children brought to this country illegally by their parents.
Two years ago, Obama protected many Dreamers from deportation with his Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, known as DACA, and the Dreamers hoped that he would extend the same consideration to their parents.
They were disappointed.
Apparently the White House considered deferring deportation of the Dreamers’ parents, too, but ran into a roadblock from the Office of Legal Counsel in the Justice Department. The head of that office, Karl R. Thompson, concluded that “the proposed deferred action program for parents of DACA recipients would not be a permissible exercise of enforcement discretion.”

American Immigration Council
Falling Through the Cracks
December 12, 2012
One of the many consequences of an aggressive immigration enforcement system is the separation of children, often U.S. citizens, from their unauthorized immigrant parents. Take the case of Felipe Montes, a father who has spent the past two years fighting to reunite with his three young children, who were placed in foster care in North Carolina following Montes’ deportation to Mexico in late 2010. Such cases only scratch at the surface of a growing problem. Our immigration policies often fail to address the needs of millions of children whom they directly impact.

Disingenuous Liberals are fomenting discord with the pretext of Asylum seekers being unusually detained. This is a lie. Valid Asylees can report to a Port of Entry and present their claim of Asylum. But these Criminals are illegally crossing the border, and then when captured spout the pretext of Asylum.

Trump is creating his American caliphate, and democracy has no defence

The terror of the Trump doctrine is not in its innovation but in its imitation. The last few months are a testament to the fact that history is not past, that the passage of time does not necessarily imply progress. The words Sessions quoted were used in the 1840s and 50s to justify slavery. When abolitionists argued that slavery was cruel, and that separating families was a violation of religious ethics, they were met with the argument of religious compliance with the law. John Fea, a history professor at Messiah College in Pennsylvania, told the Washington Post: “Whenever Romans 13 was used in the 18th and 19th century – and Sessions seems to be doing the same thing, so in this sense there is some continuity – it’s a way of manipulating the scriptures to justify your own political agenda.”

The invocation of piety is also familiarly threadbare when the behaviour of this holy sovereign, allegedly with God’s will vested in him, is taken into account. Trump is a man mired in allegations of infidelity committed across the course of his three marriages. His church attendance was summed up in his statement that he had “never asked God for forgiveness”, and he referred to communion as “my little wine” and “my little cracker”. Yet he received 80% of the white evangelical vote. Of his unlikely Christian support base, Amy Sullivan, in the New York Times, says: “Decades of fearmongering about Democrats and religious liberals have worked. 80% of white evangelicals would vote against Jesus Christ himself if he ran as a Democrat.”

This is the most sinister and most powerful element of the dictator’s playbook: the pact with the base. Every policy, every utterance, becomes about what it signifies to its target audience rather than what it objectively means. During the presidential campaign, when Trump said that “you just don’t see the expression Merry Christmas any more”, he wasn’t expressing, or even reflecting, an earnest concern about the erosion of Christian values. He was feeding a paranoia and nativist angst about race and identity. There is no Trump doctrine, but there is a Trump code, transmitted from the pulpits of the White House to his voters.

Where others see panicked children and parents mad with distress when ripped away from their offspring, Trump supporters decipher the scene in terms of what Trump is projecting: your fears are real, your will is done, and I am its executor. Once this line of communication has been established, there is little that can disrupt it, no appeal to emotion or logic that is fruitful. It is a feedback loop that is not about values or religion or even conservatism. It is about prejudice against the other and anger at liberals, the perceived enablers of the other.

To those Americans shocked that ancient biblical texts preaching obedience to the law are being uttered by senior White House officials, those of us who have gone through the anguish of holy texts being used to justify crimes against humanity can extend much empathy but no comfort – and the certainty that there is more to come. https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2018/jun/18/trump-american-c

And it looks like SGG even started his own thread demanding that infants and children be thrown into Adult Prison.

Beginning to realize SGG is a cruel, heartless SCUMBAG. I did, in fact, long suspect he was a Liberal - now he merely confirms it.

In California the applicable law is WIC 300(g) which specifies when parents are incarcerated or institutionalized. Most recent revisions to WIC 300 seem to be in 2000 and 2005.
Anybody want to guess which cruel, inhumane, intolerant, anti-family Party was in control of California Legislature at These times? Certainly no Trump running CA then.

Actually, the Dems WEREN'T in charge. Republicans did it all.

Sorry to blow up your false narrative.

Democrats did not control CA Legislature from 1999 to 2005?

No. You obviously don't know shit about California. Let me help. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gray_Davis#Budget_crisis

Then, of course, Schwarzenegger became governor in '03, presiding over gridlock and fascistic rural Republicans, who authored the 2005 revisions, as they did in 2000.

Sorry to blow up your false narrative, twice.

Actually, the Dems WERE completely in charge of ordinary legislation in 2000. (Increasing taxes requires a supermajority vote.)

2000
CA legislature Senate D25/ R15
CA legislature Assembly D50/ R29
CA governor D

And though there was a R governor in 2005, the D's were still solidly in control of the legislature.

2005

CA legislature Assembly D48/ R32
CA governor R

You mean the DEMOCRATIC MAJORITY passed the legislation in 2000 and the DEMOCRATIC MAJORITY passed the legislation in 2005, AND a DEMOCRATIC GOVERNOR signed it in 2000?

I'd say the biggest reason why we have that legislation now is the democrats in office at the time. Because if THEY hadn't voted FOR it, it couldn't become law. It sure is funny how a majority vote works in a democracy, isn't it. Or didn't you understand that?

BAD DEMOCRATS!

Hey JSF, do you have an Internet connection? You could go to google.com and enter:

"Of the number of Illegal Aliens trying to claim Asylum, what percentage are found to be valid claims?"

in their search box tool thingy and then see what comes back. Maybe that would help?

Then you would not understand capitalism or democracy, 6ix. There is no "what the actual work SHOULD pay". There has never been a should. There is only what the boss is forced to pay. Emphasis on force. If the local government won't force their miserly bosses, the Ebenezer Scrooges of America, to pay the minimum, the minimum won't be paid. I have seen how cowardly the American workforce is, and that workforce does not have the courage or intelligence to pressure government to force bosses to pay the minimum. And an American workforce that directly, without the government, forces up pay for everyone? Not happening. Too bad for the workforce, a bunch of chickens, but great for the bosses of America who will make chicken soup and Chicken McNuggets out of you.

And it always needs repeating: those in bottom 50% of Americans have no correct idea how capitalism works. They imagine getting rid of aliens will raise their pay. It will not.

STFU. It's called supply and demand, dipshit.

When you have people coming over the border illegally, that are willing to work for below even minimum wage under the table to avoid being caught, it disrupts what wages actually SHOULD be paid by law.

When done en masse, as it has been since no laws are ever really enforced regarding illegal immigration, it cheapens the value of the work that is done. Since somebody is willing to do it for next to nothing, the work itself must only be worth next to nothing.

Wow. You're wrong on two different levels in one post. Congrats.

There seems to be a divide between 2 groups of folk.
Liberals assumed Obama would never adhere to The Constitution nor any Law, and they encouraged his lawlessness, corruption, and reckless abandon.
Same for Hilliary. And Comey, Mueller, Lynch, Lerner, Holder, etc.
So why would anybody consider that this lawless group would also not support Illegal entry into America, and assume that is the best way?

Other folk think Laws still exist, and maybe Obama didn't completely break America. Maybe they just haven't been paying attention the past decade, but think the Constitution has not been discarded. For these folk, it is difficult to understand why some criminally inclined people just don't follow the Law, and enter the country legally.

6ix, congratulations on never learning a thing. You will be living at bottom until you figure out that throwing around phrases like "supply and demand" does NOT explain how capitalism works for setting wages. Until you, personally, are the very last worker in America, you cannot set your own wage. The boss does. You could force a higher wage by threatening the boss: government forces him to pay more by raising the minimum wage or you force him by sitting idle until he meets your wage demands. But "supply and demand" explains nothing about wages. Your wage is NOT set by the quantity of Central America refugees.
https://hbr.org/2017/10/why-wages-arent-growing-in-america

You hate foreigners; you hate your wages; it seems natural that foreigners must be who ruined your wages. That's incorrect. The correction is: Hate your boss for your low wages. Do something to him to make him give you a raise. As for me, I live a middle-class life. I don't screw my employees so that I can afford a private jet like Trump owns.

If Trump wants to end the separations, he can always go back to the policy he followed for the first 443 days of his administration, but he is not.

He says he’s signing an executive order to end family separations. There is a trick: the actual aim seems to be to pick a fight with the courts and allow separations to continue while blaming judges. Trump signed an executive order allowing children to be detained indefinitely with their parents. The problem is that that violates a 1997 consent decree saying that you can’t detain/imprison children for more than 20 days. Trump will be straight up violating that order in 20 days. So what will almost inevitably happen is that a court will step in, say you can’t do that and then Trump will announce that the judge is forcing him to keep separating families.

Trump has been trying to blame his policy on someone else ever since it started, but the non-Fox media has been pretty good about repeatedly calling this out as a lie. So now he’s going to try to make it into the truth—or something close to the truth, anyway.

Just remember: if he really wants to end the separations, he can always go back to the policy he followed for the first 443 days of his administration. It’s entirely up to him.

I had forgotten to mention that they have a code word, it is "strict" - which means "enforcing the Law." Which is obviously the opposite of what Obama did.
